A/N: Got a request for some more Jackson on here, so I finally finished this story I started about 3 years ago!
Jackson had had a long day and you knew this. It wasn't a surprise to you that after a quick hello and a kiss he headed straight to the bedroom. What was a surprise was entering it later and finding him still awake.
"What's up baby?" you asked him. "Can't sleep?"
You sat beside him and ran your hand through his hair soothingly.
He shook his head. "I want sex."
You were taken aback by his blunt words.
"You look like you want sleep."
"Ride me?" he asked, giving a pout and his irresistible puppy eyes.
"Really?"
He honestly looked to you like he'd fall asleep before either of you climaxed.
"I've missed you. It feels like so long since we were together and I kept getting distracted thinking about you today."
"I can lay with you and cuddle while you fall asleep?" you offered.
Jackson just looked up at you with a pout and his puppy eyes you loved so much. He ran a hand up and down your thigh.
"Please?" he asked again, his hand wandering slowly higher and higher.
"You are far too persuasive, Jackson Wang," you sighed, causing a bright smile to appear on your boyfriends face.
He swiftly pulled you so were straddling him and brought your lips together. You couldn't help but giggle into the kiss at how eager Jackson was despite his sleepy state.
"Baby," you mumbled against his lips and he just hummed in response. "I'm wearing far too many clothes for this," you finished, pulling back slightly.
It was Jackson's turn to let out a laugh this time, releasing his grip on you so that you could shed your clothes. He lazily threw back the covers so that you could join him under them. That was when you noticed that he was already naked and semi hard.
"You really are keen, aren't you?" you teased before climbing back on top of him.
He just grinned up at you, before pulling you back down to connect your lips once more. One of his hands threaded through your hair while the other splayed out against your back, keeping you as close as possible.
As your lips were engaged with Jackson's, you slowly began grinding down against him.
"Baby," he moaned, "Feels so good already."
You smiled before kissing him again, continuing your movements to make sure you were both ready before going further.
As you finally slid down onto him, he let out a low moan, his eyes fluttering shut.
You smiled, letting out a happy hum yourself. "Is this what you needed, baby?"
He hummed in confirmation. "Love you," he mumbled out in his half sleepy, half blissed state.
"Love you too," you smiled, capturing his lips in yours and rolling your hips.
Jacksons breath hitched at your movement, so you continued.
"Let me know when you're close, yeah?"
The only reply you got was a nod as he gripped your hips tightly to keep you moving against him. You allowed your hands to roam from his chest around his body, your hips still grinding against him.
Despite his tired state, Jackson was still rocking his hips in time with yours, his hold on your hips so tight it was as though he was worried you may vanish.
"Close, baby," he muttered, screwing his eyes shut.
You leant forward to kiss his lips. "Good," you whispered in his ear, "Let go for me, baby."
The closeness of your body against his, your soft breath against his ear and the continued movement of you hips timed with his was exactly what he needed to reach his high.
With a grunt as his movements stuttered as you kept circling your hips, riding out his high and chasing your own. After finishing yourself, you pushed yourself up again, looking down at your boyfriend. His eyes were still closed as you softly brushed his hair away from his forehead.
"Is that what you needed?"
He nodded and hummed, the only response he had energy to give you.
"I'm just going to clean up and I'll be back to snuggle you," you said as you got up to head to the bathroom.
Upon your return you pulled on the first of Jackson's tshirts you found and were very unsurprised to see his fast asleep in almost the exact position you left him in.
With a small smile, you pressed a kiss to his cheeks before snuggling into him to drift off yourself.
A/N: This was supposed to be frat boy! Jackson, but I don't know if it really turned out like that lol. Anyways, hope you enjoy!
“A party?” You sigh. “I have to study.” You tell your roommate, and friend, Jennie.
“That's all you ever do, Y/N. Don't you want to live a little? Get the full college experience?” She asks.
“Graduating and getting a good job in my field is the full college experience in my mind.” You smile. She rolls her eyes, scoffing before turning to walk away from you. You turn your head and look back at your laptop and notebook, continuing where you left off. You immediately got back into your focus, so quickly that you didn't see her turn back around shuffling her feet back to you. Suddenly your laptop is closed and your notebook is ripped out from under you.
It felt like you were in shock. Your mouth hung open, your head turning slowly to see Jennie standing there with your notebook dangling between her fingers.
“What the fu…” you trail off. Sticking your hand out for your book back. “Give it.”
“No.” She grins. “You want it back, come to the party for at least an hour and then I'll give it back.”
“You're like blackmailing me… with my notebook.” You whisper.
“I'm holding it hostage.” Jennie responds. “So get ready, you have to change and let's go.” She smiles.
“What's wrong with what I'm wearing?” You ask.
“You’re wearing shorts and a big ass hoodie. Absolutely not.” She laughs. “Let's go to my closet. I've seen your wardrobe and it's… well it just won't work.” she finishes, grabbing your arm with her free hand and your notebook still secured tightly in the other.
An hour later you were put into a tight pair of leggings, with a tight and low cut shirt. Your hair was done and some makeup pasted onto your face. You felt like you but a prettier you and more confident but you weren't about to admit that to Jennie.
“It's perfect.” She giggles. “Come on!” She yells, grabbing your hand to pull you out of the dorm and off to the party.
It was bigger and louder than you imagined it would be. There were people scattered everywhere in the house and outside. People partying on the front lawn, in the backyard, and on all levels of the house. You couldn't believe that you had never experienced this before and a part of you was cursing yourself for being so focused on school and not allowing yourself to have any fun.
“Let's get a drink.” Jennie yells, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the kitchen. You pass by so many different party goers. People making out in the corner, others dancing in the large living room, people drinking, talking, laughing, some passed out on the floor or furniture. It was a lot to take in for your first party and it was all surprising to you. Jennie let's go of your hand, heading to the fridge to grab you both a cooler, something she thought you'd like. You had drank before but never to the point of being drunk. More like a glass of wine every once in a while.
“Time for shots!” You hear someone yell. You crack open your can, looking up to see someone you knew of but didn't personally know.
Jackson Wang walked into the kitchen, a smile plastered on his face. He places a bottle on the island in the kitchen.
“Mark, get the shot glasses.” He says, working on opening the bottle.
“What is that?” You whisper to Jennie.
“Vodka.” She laughs. “Yes! Shots!”
You were a little nervous, You had never tried shots of vodka before. Jackson begins pouring the shots and everyone reaches around to grab one, Jennie included but you didn't. Jackson notices, grabbing a second one and walks towards you.
“Need a shot?” He asks, handing the shot to you.
“She never drinks.” Jennie yells. “She probably hasn't had it before.”
“Have you tried it before?” Jackson asks you.
You shake your head no, sipping on your cooler.
“I'll teach you.” He smiles. “You're gonna wanna take the shot, swallow it and then take a sip of your drink. Okay?” He asks. His eyes were piercing, staring into your soul. You nervously nodded your head, taking the shot from him. His eyes never leave yours as everyone yells “cheers.” You put the shot glass to your lips, taking the entire shot, the alcohol burning as it goes down your throat. You weren't a huge fan but after taking a couple swigs of your drink, it wasn't so bad. Though, it hit you hard. One shot and half a drink and you were already feeling buzzed.
“So?” Jackson asks, leaning against the counter, his face moving closer to yours. “How was it?”
“It burned.” You say which makes him laugh. Before he can say anything else to you, you're pulled away by Jennie, nearly spilling your drink. “Let's go dance.”
The music was loud enough that you couldn’t hear your thoughts, or your worries about taking a night off from studying, which was exactly what you needed. You closed your eyes, letting the bass carry you, my body moving without plan or permission. You truly didn't care who was watching, which felt so freeing.
But you felt it. Felt someone watching you.
Jackson stood there, he watched you from across the room, leaning against the wall with a drink in his hand, his dark shirt clinging to him like it had been molded for him only. His gaze was sharp, locked in on you like you were the only thing in the room that mattered.
You finally opened your eyes and caught him watching you, with no shame. He didn't flinch, he didn't look away. He just continued to watch you.
You paused, just for a second as your heart began to thud harder now, and it was not from the music.
And then something inside you felt like it snapped. You didn't know what came over you, but suddenly it was like it was only the two of you in the room and you were dancing just for him.
You turned back into the music, but now every movement had a different edge.
You were sharper.
Moving a little slower.
You were being intentional with your moves now. You danced knowing he was watching, the heat from the crowd bloomed in your cheeks, chest, and thighs. Your fingers slid through your hair as you rolled your hips to the beat, lost but aware.
When you turned again to look at him, he was closer. Your breath hitches. He was right there. He didn’t say a word. Just stepped in closer to you. Your body stiffened on instinct but then suddenly his hands were on your waist.
You looked up at him, lips parted.
He didn’t ask. He didn't say a word to you.
He kissed you like he’d waited all night for you, only you. Like he’d been dying for you. Like from the moment he saw you in the kitchen he needed you so fucking desperately.
His mouth crashed against yours, rough and hungry. His tongue parting your lips like he owned the space between them.
You gasped for a second before it turned into a moan, your hands instinctively gripping his shirt, your fingers curling into the fabric as his hand slid up your spine, pulling you in closer.
The kiss wasn’t sweet. It wasn’t gentle. It was raw and starved and undeniably needy.
His mouth devoured yours like he just couldn’t get enough of you, like tasting you wasn’t enough. It was like he needed to consume you.
You had no idea how the two of you had moved away from the dance floor, and how your back ended up pressed against the cool wall near the hallway.
You gasped as Jackson's thigh slid between your legs, moving up with slow, torturous pressure. The heat that surged through your core was driving you insane, something you'd never felt before.
“Fuck…” He breathes, against your mouth, his forehead resting against yours for a moment.
You stared up at him, lips swollen, pupils blown wide. “You don’t even know my name,” You whispered.
He doesn't respond. Instead, his mouth was on your neck, dragging his mouth across the curve, just beneath your ear.
You gasped, your knees buckling slightly. His hands caught your hips, grinding you up into him. You could feel his cock harden through his clothes, pressing it against you. He kissed down your jaw, slowly. You clutched at his shoulders, fingers tangled in the fabric of his shirt, moaning softly.
One hand slid beneath your shirt, fingertips dragging up your waist, slow and teasing. He stops just below the edge of your bra, his breath ragged.
“Say the word,” he whispered, his voice low. “ Say it and I’ll stop. But if you don’t…”
You looked up at him, your body craving him.
“Don’t.” You whisper. “Don't stop.”
His finger drags across your lips, pulling your bottom lip down. “Open your mouth.” He says.
Without a second thought you slowly parted your lips, opening your mouth. Your head tilts back, your eyes still locked in on his as you stick your tongue out. Jackson groans, his hand moving to grab a clump of your hair. He moves in closer to you, his spit falling from his lips, landing perfectly on your tongue. You close your mouth, smirking a little before swallowing it.
“Good girl.” He groans. He pulls away from you, grabbing your hand. He pulls you off the wall and down the hallway, pulling you towards a bedroom. He opens the door, pulling you in, slamming the door behind him. He kisses you hard again, this time grabbing the hem of your shirt, pulling it up and above your head, breaking the kiss to take it off. He admires your body, your breasts, licking his lips before taking off your bra.
Jackson doesn't say a word to you while he unhooks your bra, throwing it somewhere in the room. He cups your tits, taking your nipple into his mouth, sucking harshly. You throw your head back, letting out a small moan before Jackson pulls his mouth off of you. He pulls your pants down, along with your panties, helping you step out of them before he pushes you back onto the bed.
He undresses himself, letting his cock spring free before he climbs on the bed, spreading your legs open, while he lays on his stomach, moving his face closer to your cunt. He spreads your lips, beginning to flick his tongue against your clit.
“Oh my god.” You breathe, bucking your hips, needing Jackson to do more, suck and flicking faster. He licks you with the flat of his tongue before wrapping his lips around your clit, sucking harshly. He swiftly shoves two fingers into your already soaked pussy, thrusting them into you hard and fast while he continues to eat your pussy.
“Right fucking there.” You cry out, your eyes rolling back as your orgasm builds so fucking fast.
“Oh my god.” You cry out, grabbing your tits, squeezing them as Jackson brings your orgasm closer and closer. Before letting you cum, Jackson pulls his fingers from inside of you, moving his head away from between your legs, letting your orgasm fade away.
“Why!?” You cry out.
Jackson crawls up the bed, hovering over you, leaning his head down, lightly pressing his lips against yours. Jackson slips his tongue into your mouth letting you taste yourself from his tongue. He quickly turned the kiss passionate and sloppy. As fast as he kisses you, he pulls away, lifting your legs over his shoulders lining up his cock before he shoves his cock deep inside you. You gasp, as he gives you no time to adjust. He swiftly pulls himself out of you before ramming his cock back inside of you.
“So fucking tight.” He groans, holding your legs tightly. Jackson rubs your swollen clit, bringing your orgasm back up. It doesn't take you long to cum moaning so loudly as your back arches while you work through your high. Jacksoni doesn't slow down. You wrap your legs around his waist, wanting to roll the two of you over. Within seconds, you're on top of him, riding his cock. Your hands are placed on his chest as you bounce and grind on his cock.
“That's right, ride my cock, baby.” He groans, moving his hands to your hips, helping you bounce faster and harder. You throw your heads back, your eyes closed tight, the feeling of his cock inside of you was intoxicating. He slides his hand up your body, over your curves, to your breasts and back down to your ass, landing a hard slap which makes you ride him faster. Your clit rubs against him in just the right way, making your orgasm build once again.
Jackson groans, licking his lips while he watches your tits bounce. Your second orgasm builds even quicker than your first, you felt like you were going to explode. You bite your lip as your orgasm hits you, you scream out loudly, the feeling of exhaustion taking over. Jackson holds you up to help, his own orgasm not far behind. He thrusts up, pounding his cock into you.
“Jesus fucking christ.” Jackson moans, his fingertips digging into you as he pounds into you.
“Cum in my pussy, please cum inside me.” You cry, making Jackson groans. He pumps faster and harder, moaning loudly as he finally cums, spilling his cum deep inside you. He works through his orgasm, slowly thrusting into you, giving you everything he's got. You sigh loudly, as you roll off his body, laying on his bed, both your chests heaving.
“I can't move.” You breathe, letting out a small laugh.
“That's fine with me.” He whispers, moving a strand of hair from your face. “I don't want you to leave.”
“You still don't even know my name.” You whisper back, your eyes closed.
“Of course I do, Y/N.” He smiles. “Most dedicated student, smartest girl in school. How could I not know you?” He asks.
One eye opens to look at him. “Okay then, Jackson.” You smile back.
“You know my name? I'm honored.” He chuckles.
“So what now?” You ask. “I've never had a one night stand before.” You admit.
“Who said anything about a one night stand? I want to know everything about you. How about you stay, and we go on a breakfast date in the morning?” He asks.
“I'd like that.” You say, your entire body tingling with joy.
After you clean yourself up, Jackson pulls you back into his bed, holding you closely to him. You had a feeling this was just the beginning of something great.
— now playing: telepatía, kali uchis.
— Me tornei previsível.
— resolve entrar no joguinho tão conhecido.
— Talvez eu goste do jogo.
— a voz rouca te faz estremecer e sorrir.

AN* This is a cute one but it is a little long! I hope yall enjoy!
At their latest PR meeting, the team seemed unusually pleased, nodding along as they scrolled through engagement numbers and media coverage. But Y/N and Jinyoung’s mind had been elsewhere.
Since Jinyoung had come home the other night, Y/N was relieved that the air between them had finally cleared. Things had slowly begun shifting back to normal… well… a sense of new normal that was. Now, there was something different between them — an unspoken understanding that hadn't existed before.
Maybe it was the kiss itself or maybe it was Jinyoung’s words that followed, either way, they were entering a new level in their relationship of candidacy and trust that surpassed where they were at prior. Maybe the kiss was exactly what their relationship needed.
They hadn’t forgotten about it, like she had once wished, but instead moved past it. And somehow, that was better. If anything, it had drawn them closer, smoothing out the rough edges of their dynamic in a way she never expected. Without it, she wouldn’t have gained as deep of an understanding of Jinyoung’s feelings as she had now.
Jinyoung had proven time and time again that he wasn’t the kind of person to leave things unresolved, and she was grateful for that. He truly meant it when he said he wants a relationship where you chose to get past the ups and downs… or at least that was the type of relationship Y/N had signed up for. But that wasn’t to say Y/N wasn’t experiencing any growing pains. She really admired Jinyoung for his ability to confront awkward situations and find a way forward, but at the same time, Y/N on the other hand wasn’t that good at kissing and making up… well at least one part of that she wasn’t. Avoiding talking about the kiss only made Jinyoung feel alone. A feeling Y/N was very familiar with being that at one point, it was because of him. But after confronting him in a very immature outburst, Jinyoung expressed why he was acting that way, apologized, and worked to change their dynamic. He had made real efforts to close the distance between them, to pull her into his world rather than keep her at arm’s length. He had promised her that she wouldn’t feel alone again. And in a way, she felt guilty that for a moment couldn’t do the same.
And she wondered why? She knew that it might’ve had to do with the fact that she didn’t want to talk about the kiss because it brought up her own anxieties about confronting her feelings. Maybe, deep down, she had wanted it to mean something.
And thinking about it now, part of her didn’t like how well he had just moved on from the topic, how good he was at leaving it in the past. Because, to her, that meant the kiss—the moment that had shaken something loose inside her—was nothing more than a fleeting lapse, an experience neither of them would revisit. And maybe that was what unsettled her most. Maybe the kiss had been her subconscious way of pushing them toward something they could never be. But Jinyoung had shown her exactly where they stood. And she had no choice but to accept it. It confirmed what she had known all along but never quite admitted: this was temporary. Whatever they had, whatever they were, it would end in three months. They were friends, nothing more, and Jinyoung had proven that by the way he so effortlessly settled them back into place. No lingering looks. No hesitation. No indication that the kiss had meant anything beyond what it was.
Jinyoung on the other hand, was relieved—relieved that he had taken the initiative to talk things through that night, relieved that the air had cleared between them, and relieved that, despite everything, they had settled back into something that resembled normal. A new normal, maybe, but it was comfortable. They still shared easy conversations, still had their quiet moments together, and if anything, their closeness hadn’t diminished—it had solidified. That should have been enough. That was what he had wanted. Or was it? Because for some reason, a small part of him couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, he hadn’t been completely honest that night. Not with her. Not with himself.
Because if everything was so normal now, then why did he feel like he had left something unsaid? Like he had smoothed things over too well, to the point where they had erased any trace of what happened? Maybe it was because even he wasn’t sure what he was feeling. He hadn’t wanted to linger on it too much, hadn’t wanted to sit with the realization that the kiss had stirred something in him that wasn’t supposed to be there. Because if he did, then he’d have to admit that he was breaking his own rules—the very rules he had set. This was supposed to look real, not be this real. And yet, ever since that night, he had caught himself thinking about it more often than he should. The press of her lips, the way she had fit so easily against him, the way he had wanted to chase after the feeling rather than let it go. Every passing day it was almost as if something was trying to tell him that this was right, that she fit perfectly into his life. But every day that passes is another day closer to when she would be out of his life. So what was the point in deluding himself into getting attached to whatever this feeling was? Why was he trying to make this into something it could never be? Whatever meaning he thought to be behind that kiss he must have imagined it, because in the aftermath, Y/N had made her stance clear—she wanted to forget it.
Interesting, she had been the one to suggest they practice, yet somehow, he was the only one still stuck on it.
His eyes darted to Sihoon, who was sitting across the room, and suddenly, her words from before echoed in his mind. He had long suppressed them— but as soon as he laid eyes on her, they filled his head.
“ I wonder if she’d actually be as engaged if this wasn’t a contract.”
At the time, he had pushed back against it. Y/N had proven Sihoon was wrong, hadn’t she? She had let him in, she had been there in ways no one else had been, and she had made him feel grounded - stable. And maybe that was part of her contractual obligation, but part of him felt there were times where her being there for him, her consistency, was because she wanted to.
But looking at Sihoon now, he couldn’t help but think of the instances Y/N was the type to run away. The way she had avoided talking about uncomfortable situations, how quickly she had chosen to move past them, how she had shown no indication that the kiss had meant anything to her—he started to wonder. Had he been deluding himself this entire time? Would Y/N only be interested in the chaos that was this arrangement? And even if he could allow himself to imagine something past it, would it be the same, or did Sihoon know her better?
“You two have been doing well,” one the staff announced, glancing between Jinyoung and Y/N, snapping them both out of their thoughts. “The public is really buying the chemistry.” Y/N barely had time to feel relieved at their words of affirmation before they continued.
“We want to remind you both that Jinyoung’s premiere event is at the end of the week. There will be cameras everywhere, so it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase everything you’ve been working on behind closed doors.”
Y/N and Jinyoung exchanged a glance at one another before looking back to the PR team. Y/N shifted slightly in her chair, feeling the weight of the statement settle in. Jinyoung, on the other hand, remained composed, simply nodding in acknowledgment.
“Also,” the PR manager continued, their smile widening, “we do have some exciting news. We’ve arranged a trip to Jeju Island for the two of you the day after the premiere.”
Y/N’s eyes widened in surprise, her posture immediately perking up. “Wait… like a vacation?”
There was a brief pause—just long enough for her to get her hopes up—before the PR rep clarified, “Sort of a work-holiday arrangement if you will… there will be scheduled outings and some casual ‘spotted together’ moments. Think of it as an extended opportunity to solidify your image as a couple following the premiere.” they explained.
Y/N’s shoulders dropped, her brief excitement slipping away as quickly as it had come. Of course it wasn’t just a vacation. Nothing ever was. She forgot. This was work after all.
When the meeting concluded and the PR team left the room, Y/N let out a dramatic sigh, slumping back in her chair. “Of course, it’s not a real vacation,” she muttered aloud, arms crossed.
Jinyoung, still flipping through a folder the team had left behind, glanced at her and smirked. “Did you really think they’d send us to Jeju just for fun?”
Y/N shot him a look. “I was hoping.”
He shut the folder with a soft thud and leaned back, studying her “Still innocent I see. Nothing in this business is ever done out of the kindness of people’s hearts seeetheart” he scolded.
She groaned. “You’re telling me now?” she looked at him.
He let on a smile.
“I can’t believe my first time to Jeju will be a work trip” she sighed disappointed.
“Well the first time I went I ran a food cart” he retorted. Y/N laughed.
“I’ll make sure we still enjoy ourselves, don’t worry,” he said, more reassuring.
Y/N eyed him skeptically. “So you’re saying we’ll make the best of it?”
“I’m saying they can schedule whatever they want, but outside of that, we’re on an island with good food, nice weather, and an actual view that isn’t just Seoul traffic.”
A beat passed, and then Y/N sighed, the corners of her lips twitching upward. “Fine. But if they make us do another food cart you’ll be the only one cooking”
Jinyoung chuckled, standing up and grabbing his jacket. “If you can conjure up your barista skills, I’d say you have a deal.”
----
The next day, Jinyoung wandered through the street market, absentmindedly running his fingers over the fabric of a sweater before moving on to the next rack. Shopping wasn’t exactly his idea of a good time, but it was undeniably Yugyeom’s. The moment Jinyoung had mentioned the upcoming Jeju trip with Y/N, Yugyeom latched onto it as an excuse to drag him out under the pretense of "buying essentials." In reality, it was just another opportunity for Yugyeom to shop for himself.
Still, there were worse ways to spend an afternoon.
“What about this?” Yugyeom held up a ridiculously patterned coat, grinning.
Jinyoung barely spared it a glance. “No.”
“You didn’t even look,” Yugyeom whined, shoving it back onto the rack. “Fine. Be boring.”
Jinyoung smirked, shaking his head as he turned toward a display of winter accessories. A set of neatly stacked scarves caught his attention—soft, thick, and in neutral tones. His fingers ghosted over a navy one before his eyes landed on a similar style in muted pink.
Without thinking, he picked up both.
Yugyeom, watching from a few steps away, raised an eyebrow. “That’s pretty warm for Jeju… and two?”
Jinyoung nodded, already draping the navy scarf around his neck to test the feel. “Yeah.”
“For who?” Yugyeom’s grin was immediate—knowing.
Jinyoung ignored him, adjusting the scarf in the mirror.
Yugyeom snorted. “Oh my God. You’re getting one for Y/N.”
Jinyoung sighed, finally looking at him. “It’s cold out.”
Yugyeom’s smirk only grew. “Right. Because you always buy scarves for your fake girlfriends.”
Jinyoung rolled his eyes but didn’t put the pink one back.
Yugyeom wasn’t done. “You know matching accessories are a thing, right? A couple thing.” He wiggled his eyebrows before dramatically shimmying his shoulders.
Jinyoung turned to him, expression unreadable. Then, with practiced indifference, he told the cashier, “I’ll take these.”
Yugyeom gaped before breaking into laughter. “Hyung, you sound like you want to match.”
Jinyoung shrugged, unbothered.
Yugyeom squinted at him, leaning in. “Be honest—do you actually care about the scarf, or do you just want to see her wear something you picked out?”
Jinyoung pulled out his wallet, not even looking at him. “I’ve already seen that,” he murmured.
Yugyeom smacked his arm, eyes wide. “Wow. You’re further along than I thought. Should we buy lingerie too?”
Jinyoung shot him a glare as he grabbed the shopping bag, causing Yugyeom to cackle.
“Oh, wait—you probably prefer nothing,” Yugyeom added in a whisper, dodging out of reach before Jinyoung could retaliate.
Jinyoung exhaled sharply and pressed forward, but Yugyeom wasn’t done. As they stepped out of the shop, bags in hand, Yugyeom nudged him with an elbow.
“So,” he drawled. “Are you excited?”
Jinyoung frowned. “For what?”
Yugyeom scoffed. “Spending time alone with Y/N, obviously.”
Jinyoung said nothing.
Yugyeom’s grin stretched wider. “Oh my God. You are. Look at you.”
Jinyoung exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. “It’s a trip.”
“Yeah, a trip. Just you two. Who knows, maybe you’ll get some more practice.” Yugyeom waggled his eyebrows.
That was a mistake telling him that.
Jinyoung narrowed his eyes. “Speaking of which… do I have anything on my lips?” He puckered exaggeratedly, perfectly mimicking Yugyeom’s infamous V-Live moment.
The smirk dropped from Yugyeom’s face instantly. “You don’t look cute doing it,” he muttered, stalking ahead.
Jinyoung chuckled to himself at the reaction.
Yugyeom recovered quickly, his teasing mood resurfacing. “Do you think she’s excited?”
“Y/N said it’s her first time going, so I’d assume so.”
Or at least, he hoped she was.
Yugyeom caught his expression and grinned even wider. “You want her to be excited to spend time with you, huh?”
Jinyoung tsked. “You’re reading too much into this.”
Yugyeom nestled up beside him, undeterred. “Am I? Hyung, I’ve never seen you go out of your way like this for anyone. The scarf, the trip, you not complaining about shopping—”
Jinyoung cut him off with a sigh. “I’m just trying to be thoughtful.”
Yugyeom hummed, thoroughly amused. “Right, right. Our very thoughtful Jinyoung. Because being thoughtful definitely doesn’t mean you like her.”
Jinyoung shot him a sharp look, but Yugyeom just threw an arm around his shoulder, grinning ear to ear.
“This is gonna be so fun,” he mused.
Jinyoung groaned, shoving him off. “You’re insufferable.”
“And you’re in denial,” Yugyeom countered, unfazed. “But don’t worry, hyung. You’ll get there… when you get to Jeju.”
Jinyoung sighed, rolling his eyes—but he didn’t argue.

The next night, before his drama’s premiere, Jinyoung sat at the dining room table, bathed in the dim glow of his laptop screen. His fingers hovered over the keyboard, then backspaced, then hovered again. Y/N watched from across the room as she zipped on her jacket, just observing him. He didn’t notice, instead, his brows were drawn together in concentration, lips pressed into a firm line. Every so often, he exhaled sharply, his fingers tapping against the desk in an uneven rhythm—hesitant, restless. It wasn’t like him to seem so unsettled, but the way his eyes scanned the screen, the way his knee bounced under the table, made it obvious. Y/N had seen him handle press before, but something about tonight felt different. Seeing him like this gave Y/N an idea.
Outside the apartment window, snow was falling slowly.
“Jinyoung,” she called softly, stepping into the dinning room where he sat at the table, shoulders taut.
“Hmm?” He hummed in response without looking up from the laptop.
“You look like you’re trying to set your laptop on fire with your mind.” she joked.
He glanced up for a second before offering a small, tired smile. “I’m just making sure everything is set for the event.” He explained, looking back to the computer.
Y/N hummed, considering him for a moment. “Do you want to get Hotteok with me?” she asked innocently.
He blinked, looking up at her. “I didn’t think they had Hotteok in Seoul,” he said.
She smiled. “I found a place, and I need your expertise to know if it's good.”
He then turned his attention to the window. “It’s snowing.” He observed.
“Exactly,” she grinned. “Perfect weather for Hotteok.” She added.
“What’s the alternative?” He questioned.
“I'll go by myself,” she responded.
He furrowed his eyebrows at her and let out a short huff of intrigue.
"So, let me get this straight—you’re telling me you’re going out, at night, in the snow, alone, fully aware that I won’t just stay behind… meaning I have no choice but to go with you?" His lips pressed into a thin line.
“Yes,” she replied, smiling.
“All because you want to try hotteok at 9 pm at night?” he asked.
“Well yes, but also because we should get your mind off of things,” she suggested, her eyes flickering to the computer.
“And this is the only thing you could come up with?” He replied.
“… Well do you have any other suggestions?” She tilted her head.
He actually did actually… just not appropriate ones.
He simply stared back at her, thinking.
“Please … Jinyoungie?” she smirked at the usage of the nickname which caused him to visibly cringe.
And yet, with a sigh, he shut his laptop screen and rose from his seat without more debate.
In all honesty it was seeming harder and harder to say no to her.
Satisfied at her win, she tugged on his sleeve, pulling him toward the door.
-
Even though their apartment was only a ten-minute walk away, the cold bit at their skin the moment they stepped outside. Y/N didn’t mind. She was just happy—Jinyoung had been working hard lately, and this was the perfect distraction. Jinyoung, on the other hand, was already regretting this. He hated the cold.
But when he glanced at Y/N out of the corner of his eye, their shoulders bumping as they walked, the regret faded—just a little.
Still, since Y/N was in a good mood, and Jinyoung was Jinyoung, he couldn’t help but toy with it.
The next time their shoulders met, he gave her an extra shove, just enough to knock her slightly off balance. The smile wiped clean from her face as she shot him a glare. Jinyoung only grinned mischievously, walking ahead like nothing happened.
Y/N caught up, her expression annoyed.
Sensing it, Jinyoung threw his arm over her shoulder, pulling her close. Without thinking, Y/N wrapped her arms around his waist in response.
“This your way of keeping me warm?” she mused, tilting her head up at him.
“No, this is so you can’t push me away,” he shot back, smug.
“That’s rich, coming from the guy who just pushed me.”
“My apologies for having broad shoulders,” he replied dryly.
“It’s not your fault. I blame the army.”
Jinyoung smirked, glancing down at her.
“And I don’t want to push you away anyways” she mentioned, looking down at their footsteps.
“Oh really? What? Are you starting to get used to me or something?” he questioned teasingly.
“No I’m saying because I’m cold” she corrected, looking back up at him innocently.
Something about the way she looked at him—effortlessly comfortable, like they belonged in this moment—made him pause.
Without a word, he stopped. Y/N loosened her hold on him, standing up straight to meet his gaze.
He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a scarf—the one he’d bought at the market with Yugyeom, which he just remembered he had on him. Carefully, he draped it around her neck, adjusting it with care.
She blinked. “What’s this?”
“You’re cold.” He noted, still fixing it, fingers lingering.
She looked at the navy blue scarf along his neck and realized it resembled hers. “You do realize this is a couple thing, right?”
Jinyoung sighed. “Not you too.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
She let out a teasing hum. “This almost makes it look like we’re actually dating.”
Jinyoung smirked, tilting his head. “We are actually dating,” he said smugly, wiggling his eyebrows as he gave the scarf one final tug.
“Oh, right,” she responded innocently.
He smiled, then threw his arm back over her shoulder, pulling her along.
-
Eventually, they reached a food truck near the square, the warm scent of something savory cutting through the crisp night air. The sizzle of dough and caramelized sugar wrapped around them as they approached the cart, the hotteok cooking to golden-brown perfection on the griddle.
Without hesitation, Y/N ordered two, the sweet scent of cinnamon filling the air as the vendor handed them over. She turned, offering one to Jinyoung.
“Try,” she insisted, holding it up to him, implying for him to let her feed him. “Maybe it’ll remind you of home so you can stop overthinking.”
Jinyoung hesitated, glancing between her and the food. Then, he leaned in, taking a small bite.
A rare, soft expression flickered across his face—surprise, maybe even delight.
Y/N’s smile widened. “Not bad, right?” she teased, nudging him.
Jinyoung gave a nonchalant shrug, trying to play it cool. “I approve.” His tone was casual, but there was something sincere beneath it. She liked seeing him like this—unguarded, content.
They lingered at the cart, finishing their hotteok, basking in the warmth of the streetlights illuminating the quiet night.
He couldn’t help but smile in realization that that rather than Y/N dragging him here wanting to hotteok for herself, she brought him here to get his mind off of things by giving him a familiar comfort.
He studied her enjoyment of the hotteok with a light smile.
-
On the way back, Y/N pulled her scarf tighter around her neck, the chilly air biting at her cheeks. The snowfall had picked up slightly, the streets growing quieter as they walked. When they reached a small alley with an overhang, she instinctively ducked beneath it, seeking shelter from the falling snow.
Jinyoung, however, walked just past the edge, snow collecting on his shoulders and hair, completely unbothered.
“Come under here,” Y/N called, watching him from beneath the overhang.
He glanced over, smiling. “I like the snow.”
“Oh, really?” Y/N arched an eyebrow, a mischievous glint flashing in her eyes.
Without hesitation, she kicked the garage door beside her. A pile of snow, dislodged by the impact, tumbled down—right onto Jinyoung’s head.
The moment the snow settled, Y/N pressed her lips together, barely containing her laughter.
Jinyoung stood frozen in place, eyes wide, snow slipping down his collar. Slowly, he turned to her, mouth slightly agape.
“I’m sorry,” Y/N choked out between laughs.
Jinyoung wiped at his face, shaking the snow from his hair with a deadpan look. “Really?”
Y/N was still laughing, eyes sparkling with amusement.
“Take a picture—it’ll last longer,” he muttered, brushing more snow from his coat.
“If you say so.” She immediately whipped out her phone and snapped a photo.
Jinyoung barely glanced at the camera before his hand shot out, aiming to delete it.
“Jinyoung!” Y/N gasped, realizing his plan just in time. She yanked the phone away and took off running.
Jinyoung didn’t hesitate. He chased after her, his laughter blending with hers.
Y/N’s footsteps were light, but Jinyoung was faster. Within seconds, he caught up, wrapping his arms around her from behind, trapping her in place.
Y/N continued laughing, struggling against his grip.
They wrestled for the phone for a moment before Jinyoung got ahold of it, both of them breathless, but smiling, Y/N gave up and went back to her hold onto his waist. “Don’t delete it” she cautioned, watching him hold her phone in his hands.
But rather than delete the photo, he slid to the right of the homescreen to open the camera, and turned it facing them, lowering it so they could both fit in the frame of the selfie.
Y/N was surprised at how cute they looked together, but she was too content to protest.
Jinyoung dipped his head slightly to fit into the frame, his arm still hooked around her collar, pulling her close as they continued walking while taking the selfies. He held her head under his chin as they both smiled silently looking down, Jinyoung snapping away. The camera caught the way their scarves nearly matched, the snowflakes dusting their hair, and the faint glow of the streetlights behind them. In the picture, Jinyoung’s smirk softened just enough to look genuine, and Y/N, despite herself, looked warmer and more like a girlfriend than she expected.
After a few and some shared laughs, he allowed for Y/N to take her phone back from him and review the photos.
He watched over her shoulder as she scrolled through them, noticing her grinning, admiring the pictures.
“Pretty,” he murmured before he could stop himself.
“The snow, right?” she asked without glancing up at him.
“You,” he corrected.
At this Y/N looked up at him, something fluttering in her chest. Her face flashing a blush.
“Shut up,” she muttered, nudging him shyly, but Jinyoung didn’t let her go.
As they continued walking content, Jinyoung glanced over his shoulder to see their footsteps in the snow behind them. In doing so, for a split second he thought he saw a shadow slip out of sight around a corner in the distance. His brows furrowed, but before he could think about it, he turned his attention back in front of them, pulling Y/N close.
---------------
By the time they returned to the apartment, raving about their hotteok, the space was quiet.
As they stepped into the warm apartment, the contrast from the biting cold outside sent a pleasant shiver down Y/N’s spine. Jinyoung was still dusting snow off his shoulders and hair when Y/N stepped closer, reaching up without thinking. “Hold still,” she murmured before tugging at the zipper of his jacket.
Jinyoung watched as she slipped his jacket off his shoulders for him, her eyes flickering downward at what was beneath before she could stop herself. His sweater, damp from the melting snow, clung to him in a way that left little to the imagination—outlining the firm lines of his torso, the way it stretched just slightly over his broad shoulders. She swallowed, suddenly hyper-aware of how close they were, of the heat radiating from his body despite the lingering chill. It shouldn’t have been a big deal—she was just helping him out of his snow-covered clothes—but as her fingers brushed against the fabric, she had to force herself to focus on anything other than how ridiculously good he looked like this. Jinyoung, seemingly oblivious, smirked down at her. “You’re being awfully thorough,” he mused. Y/N rolled her eyes, stepping back before she did something embarrassing. “Just trying to keep you from catching a cold,” she muttered, but the warmth creeping up her neck betrayed her.
“You’re soaked,” she commented, more to herself than him. His lips curled slightly, amusement dancing in his eyes. “I wonder who’s fault that is?” he asked sarcastically. Y/N looked up at him as she busied herself with her own coat. “Go change,” she quipped, but the warmth in her touch still lingered between them.
After they both had changed, they returned to the living room. The lights were dim, the only glow coming from the city outside, casting shifting patterns on the walls. The heater hummed in the background, wrapping them in warmth, but that wasn’t what kept the chill away. It was this—being here, sitting close.
A movie played in the background, something neither of them had put too much thought into.
Jinyoung shifted slightly, stretching one arm behind his head as he let out a slow breath. He glanced down at Y/N, who was still sitting up, her fingers lightly tracing the edge of the blanket.
“You can lay down on me if you want,” he murmured, his voice quiet.
Y/N hesitated for a second at his suggestion, but the other part of her was eager to take him up on his offer. Slowly, she eased down over him, laying her hands on his chest, resting her head on them.
The moment she settled against him, she became hyper aware of everything again - especially how his body felt beneath her, the steady rise and fall of his breathing, the way his shirt stretched across his chest as he shifted. It should’ve been easy to relax, but now her heart was beating a little too fast, and she was scared he could feel it.
Jinyoung hadn’t even hesitated draping an arm around her, his fingers brushing absently against her shoulder.
Is this how friends laid together?
He didn’t seem to notice Y/N’s tenseness. Instead he remained still. It was casual—should have been casual—but the longer they stayed like this, the more something unspoken hung between them.
She sighed softly, shifting. The movie played on, but Y/N found it hard to focus on anything except she could feel his abs rise and fall against her stomach. She swallowed hard remembering what they looked like.
Jinyoung’s voice broke through the quiet. “Comfortable?”
Y/N snapped herself out of her thoughts, willing herself to sound normal. “Yeah,” she mumbled, though she wasn’t sure if her answer was entirely true. Comfortable wasn’t exactly the right word—not when she felt this aware, this distracted.
He hummed in acknowledgment, but she could tell by the slight amusement in his tone that he wasn’t entirely fooled. Still, he didn’t press further. Instead, his fingers resumed their slow, absentminded movements against her shoulder, and Y/N forced herself to exhale, letting the tension leave her body.
Maybe she’d get used to this. Maybe she’d stop overthinking how solid he felt beneath her, how easy it would be to trace the contours of his shoulders, his arms—
She squeezed her eyes shut. No. That was dangerous territory.
Instead, she focused on his heartbeat, steady and grounding.
Outside, the snow continued to fall, blanketing the world in stillness. But here, in this quiet, unhurried moment, nothing felt heavy.
As for Jinyoung, for once, his mind wasn’t racing.
For once, he wasn’t thinking about the event, the cameras, the expectations.
Just this.
Just her.
They laid in silence, content and warm. But as the movie’s plot unraveled, Jinyoung felt his & Y/N’s bodies tense. The story took a darker turn—an obsessive stalker watching the protagonist’s every move. He could see Y/N watching intently, the way her fingers curled slightly into the blanket.
He just reached for the remote and switched it off.
Y/N blinked up at him, startled. “Why—?”
“You don’t need to watch that. Let’s find something that won’t give us both nightmares.” he said simply, voice calm but firm as he searched for something else.
She exhaled slowly, the tension still clinging to her frame. It was so odd how sometimes she didn’t even have to open her mouth and yet he just knew what she was thinking. She didn’t know anyone as receptive as Jinoyung.
She watched as he scrolled through options, one arm behind his head, the other flicking through selections with the remote. This time, he picked the movie—something light, something easy. But something in the air lingered, something unsaid.
He set the remote down and laid his hand back down on her back, Y/N eager for him to continue the faint drawing he was doing on her shoulder with his finger. Instead, they laid there in silence for a moment as the movie started.
“I would never let anything happen to you,” he said aloud, finally clearing the air of what felt unsaid. Y/N’s turned her attention away from the movie at the randomness of it. His voice was quiet, serious in a way that left no room for doubt.
“I know,” Y/N consoled.
He nodded, seeming content with that.
She shifted, resettling, her head resting on her hands, which rested on his chest. Jinyoung felt the weight of her so naturally beside him that he let himself relax completely. He noticed the way her breathing evened out, the way she unconsciously nestled closer as if she felt just as safe.
Jinyoung glanced down, his gaze tracing the soft curve of her face, the way her lashes fluttered slightly—caught somewhere between wakefulness and sleep.
She made a small sound—content, almost—her body rising and falling dependent on his breathing.
And maybe, just maybe, that was enough.
It wasn’t long before the warmth of the room and the quiet flickering light of the screen lulled her to sleep, as per usual.
Jinyoung scoffed at how routine this had become. But he wasn’t much better. He only lasted a few moments longer before his own eyelids grew heavy.
—
An hour or so later, Jinyoung jolted awake.
His breath came quickly, uneven. The dark silence of the apartment pressed in around him, too still, too quiet. His pulse pounded in his ears, a lingering echo of something—something he couldn’t quite shake.
In his panic, he startled Y/N awake.
She blinked rapidly, disoriented, her gaze quickly finding him. “What happened?” she mumbled, still half-asleep.
His hand gripped the edge of the couch, the other still resting holding her back. His face was pale, the remnants of his nightmare still clinging to him. He swallowed hard, forcing himself to steady his breath.
“It’s nothing,” he murmured after a pause. “Just a nightmare.”
Y/N propped herself up on one elbow, rubbing her eyes as she studied him. Even in the dim light, she could tell something wasn’t right.
“Are you okay?” she asked, voice softer now, laced with concern.
Jinyoung hesitated. Part of him wanted to tell her, yearning for more comfort. The dream had been vivid—dark, unsettling… about stalking - a nightmare probably ignited with help the first movie. But as he stared at her in the eyes now, innocent and drowsy with sleep, he couldn’t bring himself to tell her what it had truly been about for fear of scaring her too.
Instead, he exhaled, forcing a half-hearted smile. “Just stressed,” he said quietly. “The drama’s release is tomorrow, you know how it is.”
Y/N searched his face, unconvinced. Still, she reached up, brushing a few strands of hair from his forehead. “Everything’s going to be okay, Jinyoung.” Her voice was soft, steady.
He looked at her for a long moment, his heart heavier than he let on. He wanted to say more. He wanted to tell her. But instead, he just nodded.
Y/N yawned, stretching slightly. “Do you want to go to bed?” she asked, shifting as if to sit up.
Jinyoung hesitated—just for a second—“In a minute” he said before guiding her back down to his chest. His arms wrapped around her this time, almost as a quiet plea to stay.
She tensed slightly at first but then, without a word, relaxed against him. Maybe he needed this.
And so, as she let herself drift back into sleep. Jinyoung on the other hand stayed awake a little longer, staring at the ceiling, wrestling with his thoughts.

Listening as his car door slams shut and his footsteps race up the pathway to your front door, he swears under his breath as he drops his keys, fumbling with them to get inside. And you wait patiently, cross-legged in your chair aimed straight at the door, picturing his panicked state.
As he enters he spots you instantly, halting his movements with eyes full of worry and a silent, pleading apology.
“Baby, I-”
You put your hand up to silence him. “I don't want to hear it, Jackson.”
“But-”
You throw him a hard glare. “Don't make me repeat myself.”
He obeys looking defeatedly down at his feet.
“Assume your position.” you order.
Slowly, he drops to his knees, shrugs out of his blazer and removes his shirt, leaving them in a pile beside him. He undoes his belt and pulls it through his trousers loops, holding it up for you.
Uncrossing your legs, you rise from your chair, striding across the room and enjoying the way his eyes remain fixed to your heels clicking along the wooden floor. You take the belt from him and place it carefully around his neck, wrapping it around and fastening it at the back, with enough space for your fingers to fit between it and his skin.
He's already breathing heavily and you've barely started.
“I waited for you for over an hour in that restaurant,” you say as you circle around him, kicking the pile of his clothes to the side as you go, “I called you numerous times and you didn't answer, not even a text to say you'd been held up.”
He opens his mouth to speak and you yank on the belt making him grunt.
“You will speak when I say you can. I don't think you appreciate who you're married to. I don't think you appreciate that you are very lucky to have me and now, you are going to prove it.”
Stopping in front of him and trailing a finger up your thigh, lifting your silk chemise up just enough that he can see your naked sex before letting the material fall again. He whimpers and the sound satisfies you, even more when you notice the tent in his trousers from his very obvious arousal. Something you will not be touching tonight.
Turning you walk to the other side of the room, laying down on some cushions you'd already prepared, letting your knees fall and legs spread open wide.
His desperation knits his eyebrows together, making him look pained as he bites his lip, his whole body tensed and ready for your command. The sight makes you want him all the more.
“Now, crawl here and devour me until I tell you to stop.”

"Try on the pants, Y/N," your friend, Cass, hissed from across the clothing rack.
"I don't even like pants," you muttered, flipping quickly through the bell bottoms she had been trying to talk you into.
"Fine," she sighed. "What about this top?"
She held up something much smaller and slinkier than you would normally wear, causing you to make a face.
"Why not try something new?" she beckoned. "It's much more fun than what your brain is telling you it is."
"How would you know that?" you hummed. "My brain is very convincing."
Cass paused with a huff to check her phone. Looking back up at you, she lifted a brow. "You have approximately ten minutes to find something and try it on."
"Why ten minutes?" you asked, looking up in confusion. If you remembered correctly, you had both cleared your calendars for the day to spend some time together.
"Yugy-" she started, but you immediately scoffed.
"You're really bailing on me for Yugyeom?" you sighed. While a small ember of anger sat heavily in your gut, you understood on some level. With his unconventional job and complicated schedules, Cass had to take what time she could. It still didn't make the burn sting any less.
"Not bailing," she said, tilting her head. "You are more than welcome to join us-"
"No thank you," you nodded. If you had to awkwardly stand by while they swapped spit again, you would simply vomit on both of them.
"You're not going to be a third wheel if that's what you're thinking."
Of course that was what you were thinking.
"Jacks-"
You lifted a hand. "I'll stop you there."
"Oh come oooon," she groaned, following you as you walked away from the pants you hadn't wanted anyway. "If you just gave him a chance."
"He has one volume, Cass," you said, spinning around. "And it's loud."
"You've just never been around him in a nice, calm setting," she coaxed.
"Because you've only ever invited me to parties he's hosted," you said with an eye roll. "Why is he hosting so many parties anyway?"
She shrugged.
"I know he means well," you nodded. "He's just...a lot."
"Maybe you could use a lot," she sighed. "Haven't you ever thought of pushing your own boundaries? Having someone who could be a safe place for you AND provide encouragement when you were presented with opportunities that you weren't necessarily comfortable with?"
You blinked at her, trying to formulate a response. She wasn't totally off base, and you couldn't help but be annoyed by it.
Wiggling her brows, she lifted up the top you had hoped she abandoned. "Be a little reckless, Y/N."
Groaning, you snatched the garment from her. "Fine."
..
You pulled helplessly at the crisscrossing straps of the shirt you were wearing. It was complicated and took you at least ten minutes to figure out how to wear (based solely on trial and error). Now that you were in it, you couldn't lie to yourself. It was hot.
"Cass?" you called from the dressing room. "Do you want to see?"
After waiting for a few seconds in silence, you gripped the curtain door and slid it open.
"Well, damn," a voice that you weren't expecting growled.
Your eyes grew wide as you stared at someone you hadn't expected to see so soon. Jackson.
Squeaking, you stepped backward and yanked the curtain closed.
"Good to see you too," he chuckled.
You remained still, wrapping your arms around yourself protectively. Where was Cass?
"If it's not too much of an intrusion," Jackson chimed, pulling at the curtain. You looked up, scandalized, but quickly calmed as you saw he had a hand covering his eyes. "I would really like to stare at you a little longer in that."
You closed your eyes and scoffed. He was impossible, but you appreciated the ask for consent. Letting out a calming exhale, you opened your eyes again and dropped your arms.
Peeking through a gap he made in his fingers, he let out a low whistle. "Y/N, I didn't realize you could even look like that."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" you snapped, mildly offended but not entirely sure for what reason.
"I didn't mean it negatively!" he laughed, putting his hands up between the two of you. "I've just never seen you dressed in anything like this before."
"Jackson," you groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. "Why are you here and what have you done with Cass?"
"Cass invited me here," he grinned. "She said you wanted to shop, but she had a dinner thing planned with Yugyeom."
Traitor.
"If my vote matters at all," he hummed, still unable to take his eyes off of you. "We should invest in that top."
Not long after you had closed the "door" of the dressing room, Jackson appeared at least another five times, announcing his presence with a "psst." Throwing clothes at you with each visit, it wasn't long before you were convinced you had modeled every piece of clothing the store had to offer.
Including the pants you had wanted nothing to do with.
After every outfit change and minutes of prolonged complaining, Jackson was generous with his compliments. When he didn't particularly like a style, he made sure to praise your own appearance and make sure you didn't feel like your body was the issue.
It was honestly one of the sweetest and most fun experiences you had ever had.
Once it was all over, he had even pulled his wallet out to pay. After a heated whisper-shout conversation at the counter, he eventually gave in only when you said you would get ice cream with him afterwards (and allow for him to treat of course).
...
You begrudgingly held the shopping bag at your side and held an ice cream cone in your opposite hand.
"This is so fun," Jackson smiled, walking happily beside you. It was difficult to be grumpy with someone so positive fluttering around you, but you were still a little irritated with the ambush.
"Mmm," you grumbled, licking the ice cream before it started to dribble down your hand.
"What flavor did you get?" he asked. Before you could answer, he took a bite out of the top of your scoop.
"Jacks!" you gasped, trying to decide if his action was gross or amusing. You guessed it depended on his oral hygiene.
"Mm chocolate chip cookie dough," he nodded. "Solid choice."
You let out a surprised, but small chuckle.
"Want some?" he asked, tilting his own ice cream your way.
"I'm good," you smirked, shaking your head.
"Suit yourself," he sighed, taking another long lick. "It's cream cheese and it's delicious."
Against your better judgement, you found yourself staring a little too hard at Jackson's actions. Sure, you had always taken him as Yugyeom's annoying friend, but you couldn't deny just how attractive he was. His focus in the direction of his ice cream cone only amplified that.
Get yourself together, Y/N.
Finally shaking the embarrassingly sexy cobwebs from your mind, you looked up to find Jackson watching you, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"What?" you croaked.
"You sure you don't want a taste?" he prodded, a slow smile spreading across his lips.
You weren't entirely certain if he was still talking about the ice cream or not.
"No thank you," you tried to say calmly, but felt your voice crack on the words.
Chuckling to himself, he motioned toward the opposite end of the food court. "Do you see them?"
Narrowing your eyes, you tried to pay attention to the couple he pointed out. They were a little older than you, both staring at each other lovingly over a romantic meal of Subway.
"I do."
"What do you think their story is?"
You shook your head and looked at Jackson again. "What do you mean?"
"Are you telling me you've never made-up backstories for complete strangers before?" he asked, lifting his brows.
"I-well, not-" you stuttered. You supposed you had, but it had never been pointed out so plainly before.
"There are so many joys in this life you have yet to experience," Jackson clucked, taking your mumbling as a "no." "I'm glad we're on this date so I can show you."
"This isn't a date," you said, rushing the words out.
Patting your knee with his free hand, he looked at you knowingly.
Shit, this was kind of a date now, wasn't it?
"Now, back to business," he insisted. "Tell me what you think about the guy."
Letting out a sigh, you decided to play his game. "I dunno. Clean cut, good looking, probably makes okay money."
"Now that we've established that you do have eyes and can see out of them," he laughed. "Tell me what you think about him, Y/N. What does he do in his spare time? Do you think that's his only girlfriend?"
"I'm sorry, what?" you gasped. "Why wouldn't it be?"
"While I'm a monogamous creature myself," he hummed. "Most guys around our age are not."
You furrowed your brow, trying to see across the food court to get a better look at the guy. "You know, he does kind of look like a dick."
"My thoughts exactly," he laughed. "I bet he works in Sales at his company. He thinks he's the hot shot. This girl works at the office with him and he finally sweet talked her into casually hanging out this weekend."
Jackson grinned from ear to ear before turning toward you. In the course of your conversation, you had both finished your food. "Now here's a question."
You crossed your arms, fixing him with a stare. Trying not to smile, you nodded your head, waiting to hear more commentary.
"What would people say if they were giving us a backstory?"
Your heart fluttered at the question. Opening your mouth to rush out something sarcastic, you paused. The way he looked at you was so open. You knew you had snubbed him so many times before, did he really deserve your attitude now?
"You first," you said quietly.
"Well," he started, making a show of assessing you, then himself. "I see a guy who has liked someone since the moment he met them."
Your mouth popped into an "o" shape of surprise. You knew Jackson harbored what you assumed was a schoolyard crush on you, but you had never considered taking him seriously. How could you when he was the definition of unseriousness?
He watched your reaction, his own expression unreadable. "And that someone is giving themselves every reason they can think of not to like him back."
You took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He wasn't wrong.
"Good assessment," you cringed.
During all of this talking, you weren't sure when your annoyance morphed into enjoyment. You instantly acknowledged Jackson being the cause for that change.
"So why is that?" he asked, tilting his head. "What's there not to like?"
"Do you really want the answer to that?" you teased.
"Okay, maybe not," he laughed. "I know when I'm pressing my luck and I don't really want hurt feelings today."
"Jacks," you sighed, shaking your head. A mental switch had flipped. "I guess I've never really given you a chance, have I?"
"Not even a tiny one," he smiled. He was so good natured; you weren't sure why he would even continue to try with you.
"What if..." you said slowly, trying to find your courage. "What if maybe I gave you a chance?"
He lifted his brows. It was your time to surprise him.
"A chance?" he said quietly. "Really? Outside of playing dress up? Outside of you watching me sensually lick-"
"Jackson!" you laughed, putting your hand on his knee to stop him. "This chance is fading quickly."
Jackson glanced down at where you touched him. Just as you were about to pull away, he set his hand atop of yours and interlaced your fingers. "Okay, okay."
His smiled was the biggest you had ever seen, especially considering you had witnessed him happily drunk on many occasions.
Summary: Jaebeom and Yugyeom are "running an errand" when the most delectable scent that he ever smelled hit Yugyeom like a ton of bricks. Yugyeom stops JayB and soon he smells it. They look across the street and see the her. They stalk her for awhile and finally get the chance to manufacture a meet with her.
"It's just up the block here." Jaebeom said walking with Yugyeom trailing just behind.
On this particular morning, the leader and the youngest were on their way to confront a member of the organization about stealing. They'd probably leave with a finger or two. Make sure he got the message.
A slight breeze blows and Yugyeom stops. Jaebeom turns and looks at him, "what's wrong?"
"Don't you smell that." He sniffs the air. "Fuuck. It smells so good."
Jaebeom raises a brow wondering what the hell YG was talking about but then he smells it too. Jesus. He thought. Funny coming from him but that's how good it smelled. "Yeah I do. Who is that?"
The other mission abandoned, they scan the street for the source. As they look across the way, they spot you walking. It had to be her. They speed to the other side of the road and stalk behind her.
The good thing about being a hybrid is how well you can blend in. Not only were they human in many aspects but they were predators as well. Able to conceal their true selves and built to hunt. She never even noticed them.
They follow her the rest of the afternoon and finally call it a day but not before they get one of their guys to continue following her and report back.
"We've got to try to do this differently. If she gets scared, she'll run." Jaebeom explains to Yugyeom in the car on the way home. "It'll be so much better if she's willing. No compulsion. No holding her captive. None of that."
"Just a little light stalking." Yugyeom quibs with a small laugh but ultimately agrees, "you're right hyung but I want her so bad. What if she says no?" His eyes go dark.
Jaebeom sighs, "then we let her go." His hands tighten on the wheel, knuckles white. Can we do that, Can I do that? He knew that they needed to be better.
Every potential new mate for them ended up broken because it was all just too much. The manipulations, the compulsions, the constant attention. In the end, it broke them all, whether mentally or physically. And they were lonely. Fooling around with someone to satisfy their needs was nothing. Yes, it satiated the hunger, the thirst but only temporarily. They knew they needed to find the one.
As if reading his mind Yugyeom comforts Jaebeom, "but I think this is it. She's just too perfect not to be."
Once home with their brothers, they explain to them what they smelled. What they saw.
"When can we meet her?" Jackson asks excitedly.
"We don't even know her name yet." Jaebeom rolls his eyes. "Think we need to get the basics first."
