Headcanon: Hyness still has the capability of talking extremely fast

Anyone that has any sort of familiarity with Hyness will remember that gigantic rant he made where he talked at a million miles an hour.

Well, in my headcanons, he's still capable of making speedy rants even after he's been bettered. Even after the events of Heroes in Another Dimension where Hyness had the corruption removed from him by the friend heart thrown at him by Kirby, he can still talk at a million miles an hour and can still make enormous unhinged rants.

The corruption of the Jamba heart gave him that ability in the first place, but even after the corruption was removed, he can still do it.

When the mage sisters learned that Hyness can still talk extremely fast even after he's been freed of his corruption, they initially panicked, thinking that it was highly possible that he'd eventually descend into madness again. He's been quick to reassure them that it won't happen, though. And by the way, he's really sorry for what he did to them while he was corrupted, and is super grateful to Kirby and the rest of the dream friends for saving him and his daughters.

He himself was shocked and bewildered when he first discovered that he can still talk super fast even after he's been reverted back to his normal self. The first time he did it post-HiAD was when he snapped at himself in guilt when coming to the full realization about everything he did when he was corrupted. But after he's apologized to his daughters and reassured he won't commit all those heinous acts again, he's come to terms with the fact he can still talk super fast. His daughters managed to come to terms with that fact as well.

It's not too common when Hyness makes super fast rants. He'd really only do it if he was provoked. Like if you were to antagonize the mage sisters or if you were to jumpscare him. Other than that, he won't do it, since he's not bad-tempered. But when he does do it, he's merciless at it. Not a good idea to mess with him if you don't want him to verbally tear you to shreds and humiliate the shit out of you.

When all the other dream friends found out that he can still talk super fast, they all freaked out. But then he reassured to everyone that he's fine and will not become corrupt again. They ultimately took his word for it, but a few of them still take some caution as they keep their distance from him. Hyness supposes that he can't blame them, really.

There is however one dream friend that's had a completely different opinion on Hyness' rants than the others: Marx.

Initially, Marx found Hyness' rants to be hilarious. Even during Star Allies before HiAD, when all the dream friends witnessed Hyness making a rant for the first time, Marx was an outlier in terms of how the dream friends reacted. Most of the others were flabbergasted, but the jester laughed hysterically at it. He thought it was one of the funniest things ever. And he was delighted when he learned that Hyness can still talk that fast even after he's become uncorrupted.

One time post-HiAD, Marx attempted to provoke Hyness into making a million-mile fast rant to get some laughs. He successfully pulled it off by jumpscaring the cult leader, and initially finds it hilarious... until Hyness began to point out Marx's insecurities during the rant. The things that Marx is insecure about is being called unfunny, sharing visual similarities to noddies, and having a sense of embarrassment of being wrecked by a toddler back then. Most people in this series have been wrecked by that same super-powerful pink toddler, but Marx is one of the ones that's been more embarrassed by it.

After that rant, Marx sat in total silence for over an hour while staring at a wall. Internally, he was petrified. He tried to not let it show, but he was genuinely humiliated because the verbal evisceration that Hyness gave him was ruthless and the things he said was on point.

As a result, Hyness became the one person that's able to get through to Marx's insecurities. The one person that can actually scare off the jester. If Marx is giving you trouble, then you can threaten him with Hyness' presence. That's gonna make him back off like an injured dog.

It's extra funny considering I headcanon Marx being friends with the mage sisters. He likes them, but not really their dad as much after he was humiliated by him. It's also the reason why out of the three mages, Zan Partizanne is the one that's most distant to Marx, given her utmost devotion to Hyness. Francisca and Flamberge however still think Marx is incredibly hilarious, and don't really have hard feelings at him for the incident. Francisca in particular is still Marx's buddy that enables his behavior much more than his other friends do.

Anyways... to conclude, yeah, Hyness can still make crazed rants.

Departing from in-universe for my headcanons, the reason why I headcanon him still being able to do it is because, quite frankly, I consider that huge rant right before his fight to be the best part about Hyness. It's my biggest reason for liking him. I think he would be more fun if he was still able to do it even after he's been purified by the friend hearts, he just doesn't do it with any evil goals in mind.
