Just an Intimate (get your mind outta the gutter!) Gathering
It's a slow morning on Leisure Day. While these sims still like to tie one on once in a while, most holidays are quieter with smaller gatherings now that many of them have settled down and started families. So realistic. Anyway, after a few chores and a good breakfast, Method stayed home with the kids while Jamie and Adriana hosted a beach party!
Not surprisingly Harold was the first to arrive and he and Jamie immediately ran off to have a private conversation while Adriana waited for the rest of their guests to arrive.
It was just a small intimate gathering of close friends. The Gibbs were there and the Jones's, Baldwins and Gale's. And of course, they didn't rent the place out so there were a fair number of townies and tourists who showed up as well.
Overall, it was a beautiful day for a beach party! Oh gosh, Adriana!!! No! No more fantasizing about Thomas!!!
Sims came and went, more sims visited the beach and left, but Jamie stayed late into the night!
Oh no! Oh Shayne! Bahahaha! First off, Happy Birthday! Secondly, that hairstyle does NOT fit your personality! But hey! At least it isn't pig tales!
That babysitter doesn't look too sure about being in the same room with Method! Poor Method! Maybe the sitter is just a technophobe or something.
OMG! The baby is here! I didn't remember that Cristina was that far along when I played their household! Yay!
If only you could go to sleep and wake up in the morning to completed renovations in real life! LOL! Anyway, one of the many reasons Sims 3 is my favorite! Create a Style costs NO money!!
I decided to send Reggie for a jam session at the java hut. He does need to keep improving his music skills for work and bonus, he absolutely loves practicing, so why not send him somewhere he can both socialize AND earn some tips for extra cash!
Aww! Shayne and Cristina are out for a date as new parents. They must have called a sitter for little Elisha.
It didn't take long for Reggie's playing to attract a crowd! Shayne and Cristina continued to flirt adorably and what is this? Tana Jones is running around town dressed up like a princess! How adorable and accurate! Seriously, there was an entire year that my kiddo wanted to either wear her Baby Shark costume over her clothes or an Elsa dress ANYWHERE we went!
Oh how cute! Reggie and Jess must be on really good terms despite no longer being together because they spent most of the day playing together!
I let them play and decided to see what everyone else was up to. Adriana went to have a water balloon fight with Juliana...

Uh oh...when Reggie finished playing he came upstairs and there was Brianna...She literally NEVER comes here! Hmm...maybe there actually IS something to all those notifications I always get about her loitering wherever Reggie is...
He managed to get home without talking to her, but once he left, she went home...and then who should call Reggie, but...
He did talk to her for a bit, but he was pretty hungry after spending the day performing for tips so it was off to bed after a quick bowl of soup...and some extra guitar practice.
Oh nice...One of the cats barfed up a hairball...Aaand the TV broke after all those Sims over here last night taking turns at playing video games. And yes...Cristina and Shayne are both very capable of fixing it, but I still don't trust the game after what happened to poor Kindra in Quackenbush! Especially with Cristina being pregnant. So after Shayne went to work, she called a technician.

This time, it was Cristina's turn to get a party invite! I was surprised that she actually had energy to go...Oh boy Cristina! Maybe you were invited to help prepare you for parenthood, just look at all those cribs! LOL! And of course, both Allyson and Jess peaced out and went to bed...facepalm...
Oh boy! We've got some more Redwood babies aging up, and hey! Maybe that party was a birthday party for little Javon!

Shayne was invited to a Spooky Day party at the Marks home, but apparently no one heard him or Kyle waiting on the doorstep to be let in so he ran over to the Festival Grounds to join Cristina. Don't worry...the Gibbs have a massive Costume Party played for tonight!
Hey, I'm finally setting aside a minute to get some posts up! I'm not going to bore you all with the details, but geesh! 2026 has been absolutely insane!
Anyway, Shayne was up early again and after a quick breakfast he was off to play a little chess at the park!
Cristina looks like she's enjoyed Shayne's pancakes better than that spoiled wedding cake she tried to eat the night before!
And she's so excited about the pregnancy!
Checking back in on Shayne, I discovered Jess at the park with little Lloyd Thigpen in tow! I guess he needed a walk to the park more than her own children, or maybe she and Allyson just take them out in shifts. LOL!
Back home, Cristina spent her day dancing. No wonder she was always such good friends with Reggie! LOL!
Just a little newlywed bonding time...playing video games across the room from each other!
Shayne ended his day the way he began it, eating more of those pancakes, then it was time for one more romantic gesture before joining Cristina who was already asleep in bed.
Aww...after posting the posed pictures for this day literal months ago, it is FINALLY time to share the cluster that was Cristina and Shayne's wedding! Even though it was a mess, Shayne was super excited! How cute!
Of course the second I was out of Brianna's household, she was back to hanging outside of Reggie's house...And seeing as Alyson is dating Jess's ex, I can't say this really surprises me! I do like these two better than Alyson with Reggie.
You know what they say...Rain on your wedding day is good luck. Here's hoping you two crazy kids because that rain does NOT look like it's going ANYWHERE!
Everyone is arriving! ...except the front desk attendant...making it impossible for Cristina and Shayne to actually use the wedding arch! Facepalm...I was beginning to realize the trouble with actually playing through a wedding on this particular resort lot...
OMG! So, I finally got the staff there, but now what is going on!? I mean at least you two look entertained, but Geesh!
Aww...yay they're officially married! Aaaand problem # 2 with this lot for weddings. I may have decorated it specifically for weddings, but there isn't a ton of room up here with all the many friends of these two, so getting a good picture was a struggle to say the least!
Just some random pictures from the party. As you can see pretty much no one was interested in staying in their formal wear! Aaand, I tried to get Cristina and Shayne to cut their wedding cake, but Cristina kept resetting back home! I have no idea what was going on, but this was when I was having all the problems with my computer so who knows!
Poor Shayne had to eat alone! Aaand I was about to realize problem # 3...

OMG! Bahahahaha! Look at that puddle! There are only two toilets on this level and everyone is crowding the stairwell to the only bathrooms available! OMG! Both Howard and Jaime have peed themselves! How embarrassing!
Add Dmitri to that list... Eeew Look at that landing!
Just LOOK at all those stink lines coming off of everyone! I can't believe I forgot to upgrade the bathrooms, such a rookie mistake!
I finally managed to get Shayne out the door and I'd given up on trying to teleport Cristina back to the resort again. I sure hope everyone makes it home okay, time to get those lovely newlyweds settled in!
Home at last and ready to start married life together!
I don't know if those karots were spit out by a wild horse or if they just spawned there, but Brianna is in pretty desperate need of extra income...ANY extra income, so after foraging it was time to work on the garden a little and hope there was produce ready to harvest.
I'm surprised by how easily she's taken to gardening! She ended up with enough to sell and still keep some in her own fridge to save on groceries too. It's not much yet, but every little bit helps.
Meanwhile, Petunia keeps trying to earn her keep by sniffing out collectables. Hopefully she'll find something that's actually valuable one of these days!
Phew! It's pay day, too. That definitely helps, but she'd going to need some jobs soon if she wants to pay her bills more than one week in a row.
Well...it may not be worth much, at least alone, but good job Petunia!

Wow! What a party! Also, Brianna must feel REALLY comfortable at the Baldwin's house because she walked in and went straight to one of Alicia's laptops to start playing games!
Alicia is also dressed for the wedding as you can see LOL! Well at least she's finally putting Krystal to bed. And Kyle is making some mac and cheese. I sure hope they don't get their bridesmaid dresses dirty before the wedding!
OMG! LOL! They all just ate and got on computers to game! Maybe they're playing Fortnite together! I don't know why the dress code was formal, but who am I to judge?
Back home Petunia is beginning to feel lonely. Don't worry, Petunia! It's getting late, Brianna will be on her way home soon.
It was nearing 3am, and it's a full moon, but it's still too early for this night owl to turn in. So, after a few quick pats for good girl Petunia Brianna went to work at her drafting table. She's after a promotion!

It's finally time to get some shut eye. Brianna is focused and ready, now all she needs is a client or two!
As you all may know by now, I tend to go back to my Redwood Harbor save when I'm supposed to be playing other rotations X) ! I can't help it! I just really feel connected to that population for some reason though I love all my little simmies! Anyway, I have all of Pleasant Isle and most of Northeney already played which I promise to get queued up as soon as I have time to organize everything.
-- I've been super busy this summer and I've been feeling nostalgic for the days before the interwebs and social media--hence I've been unapologetically less active online. --
I have also been playing in Redwood Harbor to probably no one's surprise and let me tell you this rotation has brought a LOT of change! At the end of the last rotation Shayne and Cristina got engaged so I have played through their wedding (yay I was on their household for it!), my party king Reggie has embraced fatherhood and is growing into a responsible Sim without my intervention, and Thomas is going through...something...Seriously both his career and his marriage to Corinna are in serious turmoil and I hope I can get to their household before everything implodes, but that's the beauty of story progression and free will, I just don't know. It's not up to me; it's up to them.
So with all that being said, I have had the wedding album for Cristina and Shayne sitting on my laptop for ages and since it's going to be a while before I get to posting the next rotation of Redwood Harbor I thought I would share that with you all while I get the rest of Pleasant Isle and Northeney organized on my computer!

I should have taken this as a warning...in the actual wedding there were a lot of puddles! LOL! Facepalm... Also, many of you may recall that Cristina is also super close to Edith, in fact, she was Maid of Honor at Edith and Clark's wedding...HOWEVER...Edith also has an extensive past with Shayne so that coupled with the fact that most of the wedding party were already friends of Cristina and not necessarily Shayne, I chose Brianna as the third bridesmaid :)
