I hear that. I worked retail at a bakery to pure myself through University and to this DAY I cannot stand Christmas music. It would start on November first and play EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. We once kept track. There were only about ten songs that got played, but there were four or five versions of each. *Shudders*

Oh my gosh, I’m glad I’m not the only one sitting through rehashes of old songs. Just recently at a restaurant my family frequents I've heard two different versions of the same song in a row and that was probably on someone's music shuffle. My sister and I were confused by this. I mean, if you're going to play a song, just use one version of it? (Unless the remix is better, then use that one???)

Also, Tumblr, you butt, trying to type my reply in the window is terrible. Why do you have to be this way. >8|

Anyway, Christmas is less than a week away, so there's that. I hope we all come out of this alive. I have things to cook and New Year stuff to not think about for another week.

...Maybe I should end this on a more positive note. I'm guessing "DON'T DIE FROM STRESS" isn't much of one, but it's the thought that counts.

As for how likely I am to write it, I’ve never really tried it and I don’t really think I would. The one time I considered it was for the rarepair Shatt (Shiro/Matt), but someone had already beaten me to it and done a much better job than I ever could, so I wrote a veterinarian AU instead??? Because that’s apparently the next logical step??? Especially when you have NO EXPERIENCE with vets??????

But if I WAS going to write a coffee shop AU, it probably would be for a rarepair like Shatt. Something where there’s less chance that someone has already written a coffee shop AU because if it exists, it’s guaranteed to be better than mine. I like to write crazy fantasy action AUs with lots of drama and plot and worldbuilding. I’m not so great with the slice of life stuff. 

So yeah, tl;dr, I’ll probably never write coffee shop AUs, but if I did, it would be for a small ship because then mine might not seem so horrible if there’s nothing to compare it to XD

Although I love ALL your stories, I have to say that Falling is still my favorite. Because if I hadn't come across it, read it, and loved it, I likely wouldn't have met you! <3

Thank you, Jinja! <3 That story will always be my baby for that very reason. It brought so many amazing people into my life, I still can’t quite get over it. Although figuring out we already kinda sorta knew each other was pretty hilarious in and of itself. :D

Thank you all for the sweet messages you left on the anon post. I’ve reread them a bunch over the past few days (while I was taking a bit of a break from Tumblr), and they have meant the world to me. Please imagine the big glompy hugs I would inflict on all of you, if distance were not an issue (there would be tears, too). <3<3

I am just hitting the end of my rope, in a lot of ways. And it fucking sucks, because no matter how hard I work to maintain some kind of equilibrium -- therapy, medication, self-care -- my brain keeps disintegrating. Stress always makes me dissociate, and there’s always a voice in my head telling me that no one cares, that no one wants to help or to talk to me (shut your mouth Bethany shut your mouth you’re shit shut your mouth shut it now). 

So when an external voice seems to echo the constant round going in my head, it knocks me back extra hard. 

And I can’t help feeling like I should be better, like I should be able to handle the little knocks without collapsing in on myself, because I know why I react like this, why my sense of self-worth is non-existent -- so why can’t I act with that knowledge? Why can’t I just deal? You’d think dealing with this for almost twenty years would have given me some kind of perspective -- and yet. 

This is all horrifically unfair to myself, and I know it, but that internal viciousness isn’t going away. The only way out is through, right?

Thank you all for your love and patience (no matter how many times I say it, it gets truer every time), and for being such wonderful friends. I am a lucky, lucky person to know all of you. <3<3
