FIRST OF ALL: If I were to recommend it to someone, I would say watch the parts in the order of: 3, 1, 2 (although 2 is largely irrelevant), 4, 5, 6. By all logic, I should hate this anime. It goes almost completely against my taste in fiction.
Continued under cut
Watching this anime is like getting waterboarded, occasionally a genuinely good moment will come where I am allowed to take a breath, but before i even register it some bullshit happens and I am dunked back in.
However, while getting waterboarded, I’m in a desert, i see the fucking stardust crusaders in the back, this is the only water source so while i cant breathe i am glad to have access to it.
Then finally, a particular moment comes, and i start drinking all the water, until theres nothing left and i finally breathe, and that particular moment is when father Pucci appears on screen, an essay on why he’s the best character coming hopefully never.
Watching this is like being forced to bash my head against a wall at gunpoint, and then being happy that my blood made a cool pattern on the wall. None of the characters act like real people. Time and space does not exist. Inconsistencies are everywhere.
Set ups and no pay off. Pay offs withOUT setups?? The characters describe their every action so honestly you could watch this with forks in your eyes and still know whats happening, except you won’t know from the intense mindfuckery that takes place.
But overall I had a great time. Amazing soundtrack, loved the OPs, I love the char designs and I love art that isn’t afraid to be weird and unapologetic in its weirdness, it’s insanely creative and the humour can be great, some moments genuinely had me hyped and my eyes wide
I loved how in a lot of episodes it focuses more on the antags, making you root for them (though thats often cuz the protags are annoying-)
My fav part is absolutely Stone Ocean, it has the best protag and antag, best visuals, side characters that I actually gave a shit about unlike most side chars in the prev seasons. Still rooted for the antag though.
My fav Jojo is Jolyne, second is Giorno (but the version of him in my head anyway cuz he had an amazing set up but shitass payoff in my opinion)
Fav side chars are Rohan, Anasui, F.F., Ermes, Bucciarati was alright I guess, I like Trish’s design, Polnareff was entertaining.
Fav villain is hands down Father Pucci, he’s the reason I watched this entire thing, the character who apPEARS IN THE VERY FINAL FUCKING PAR- Dio close behind. Kira was fun as well.
Gonna read Steel Ball Run maybe, because I’m still in the fucking desert and i need water-
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night, whatever. Sophie is here! 👋🏻 Today I decided to combine my thoughts about my favourite character from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure - Kakyoin Noriaki. I ship myself with Josuke (we match perfectly). He is my husband and it’s pretty clear for Karina and me but Kakyoin takes another big place in my heart. Eventually, my oc Sophie connects with Kakyoin’s family and wears his cherry earrings.
I just want to remind something and I’m going to try not to be very emotional and to attach only facts. I made the decision to write this post for some reasons but I suppose they aren’t important.
NB! Dear readers, this text is my personal opinion. I respect different points of view and I hope that you do the same! 🙌🏻
First of all, every SC’s member did everything to defeat Dio and every member tried to do his best. However, I would like to tell you about how Kakyoin’s personality helped to do this mission.
When a Stand [Lovers] attempted to kill Joseph and beat Jotaro many times, Kakyoin was the one person who knew how to solve this problem. He made an idea to find a TV and defeat the enemy Stand. I absolutely love the moment when Jotaro tells Steely Dan (?): “You don’t know us. You don’t know Kakyoin” something like that and at this moment I realized how Jotato appreciates their friendship.
Also I want to add that Kakyoin helped Polnareff to take revenge and Noriaki’s trick with coin WAS DEFINITELY CLEVER. I couldn’t guess why Kakyoin is so smart and resourceful.
There is no need to say about enemy Stand [Death 13] and about another intelligent Kakyoin’s idea. He had great intuition and despite the fact that the rest of guys didn’t believe him, he continued to struggle and saved his friends.
Oh, and okay... It’s difficult to write about this scene because I have some intimate feeling about it but at the end Kakyoin found out Dio’s ability and at the same time made a huge contribution to defeat the evil.
Finally, Noriaki’s character qualities, his behavior and habits were very interesting and attractive. He seemed cold and serious though he could be cute, funny and grateful (I bet that he had good sense of humor). He was good at different spheres of life, different fields of science, etc. Also I adore the fact that Kakyoin really loved his parents but he didn’t have close relationships with them.
That’s all that I wanted to say and in conclusion, I definitely love the cherry boy. I understand why many people in fandom love him and Kakyoin really deserves this respect.
P.S: I enjoyed to share my thoughts and I wonder... Maybe Karina and I can continue this activity? If you want to write/say your opinion or you want to get our ones, you will be able to request and ask us EVERY TIME! If you have some thoughts about Kakyoin too, I will be glad to see it in comments! 👇🏻
Just JoJo Thoughts and Questions: The Parallels Between La Squadra and Bruno’s Gang
This is definitely going to be a series. I can feel it in my stomach, but anyways. There’s this peculiar thought of mine spiraling around in my head, and it is driving me crazy. I could be overthinking it but hey, you guys be the judge of it.
These are going to be a combination of thoughts and headcanons tho tbh.
Alright I’m either crazy enough to notice these similarities between La Squadra and Bruno’s Gang, or AP English Literature and Lang infected my brain where I need to notice every detail and BS them to make it work.
Let’s start off with the obvious:
Prosciutto and Bruno. The ‘mom’s of the gang. Both have serious, yet caring personalities towards their group (well for Prosciutto it’s more focused on Pesci, but we don’t know how he treats the rest of his comrades, but it can be assumed that he cares and respects them as well, since I believe Prosciutto has said before that La Squadra does not abandon each other and stuff, idk my memory is foggy but he was giving that speech to Pesci on the train). Both of them had their stands on until they were freaking dead, Prosciutto got crushed by that train and he still had Grateful Dead on supporting Pesci until the end, and Bruno was dead for most of Part 5 and sacrificed himself trying to stop SCR.
Mista and Formaggio. Both have a laid back personality, but when it gets to the nitty gritty, they become serious. Both have stands that are seemingly... not that much. Honestly, if someone went up against Sex Pistols or Little Feet, I don’t think they could be taken seriously, heck even Formaggio gets made fun of for his stand, however it’s the people wielding those stands that should be considered dangerous. Formaggio is intelligent, figuring out how Narancia’s stand works and how it’s able to shoot at him even though Narancia can’t see him. Mista is just really damn good with a gun and paired with Sex Pistols, he’s a threat to be reckoned with (imagine if he had Emperor, he would be unstoppable).
Pesci and Narancia. Both are relatively young members. They tend to rely on the ‘moms’ for guidance. Narancia wanting Bruno to order him to get on the boat, and Pesci needing encouragement from Prosciutto because of his lack of his confidence, but both characters manage to grow and develop: Pesci after Prosciutto’s death and Narancia making that decision on his own to follow along Bruno and everyone else (except Fugo, and forever I will be bitter about it).
Ghiaccio and Fugo. Both of their stands are incredibly powerful with a fatal flaw: Purple Haze virus can’t last long in the sunlight and Fugo couldn’t really control his virus, and White Album has that opening at the back of the neck. Both characters have quite the temper anddddd idk, I can’t really come up with anything else.
Risotto and Abbachio. The goth dads. They may not have similarities on the surface level, but backstory level, yes. Both characters have important people that died in their backstories (with Risotto it was his cousin and Abaachio it was his partner) and it ended up spiraling them downwards into the arms of the mafia.
Illuso and Trish. I’m... pulling this one out of my ass, lmao. Both can consider these two to be the ‘odd ones out’ of their group. Illuso’s name differs from the rest of La Squadra with him not being named after a dish and Trish was originally a girl who was supposed to be delivered lamb to the slaughter to Diavolo and she just recently got her stand power and she’s just a n00b in general. Idk about this one guys. Lmao.
Melone and Giorno. I’m also pulling this one out of my ass. I sense these two being contrasts with each other stand-wise: Melone’s stand is destroying lives, while Giorno creates life, literally. But both characters approach things professionally and considerably distant, see Melone speaking to that woman on the train and Giorno in general, in public he’s rather distant and introverted and professional, but in private he seems more... expressive (see Giorno with the lighter in his room when he’s alone).
Oh whoa fam. That’s a hard question. I have… Way too many tbh. But I’ll separate them into male and female categories, five each + honorable mentions
Male:
1. Diego Brando. He’s a major hottie who kinda has a better personality than the OG Dio. Maybe it’s due to the fact he feels more human to me than Dio.
2. Ghiaccio. Boi it’s the glasses, and all the fanart I look at of him. He’s so hot. Omg, and Idk. He’s an angry boi, but I still like him for it.
3. Weather Report. His crotch guard is a definite plus, and I like his chill personality.
4. Risotto Nero. Damn his chest and coolness, and edginess. His stand is adorable to me, idk why.
5. Joshuu Higashikata. Uhhhhh. Hehehehehe. Trash boi is great and I don’t care what anyone else says.
Honorable Mentions:
-Dio Brando
-Josuke Higashikata
-Johnny Joestar
-Everyone else in La Squadra
Female:
1. Hot Pants. I’m so gay for her, like, it’s impossible not to love her.
2. Yasuho Hirose. She is so purdyyyyyy.
3. Kyo Nijimura. Also purdy, and hot, and why doesn’t she get more screen time, like wtf Araki?
4. Yukako Yamagishi. I normally hate Yanderes, but she is the exception.
Just JoJo Questions and Thoughts: Dino Boi Be Short
Okay fam, so I just read on the JoJo wikipedia that Diego is a below-average height man, and according to the Interweb, the average white male height is 5ft 10 in, and the tallest jockey is 5 ft 6in and the shortest being 4 ft 10 in. Now imagine Diego being around that height frame. Frick I might be the same as Diego and that scares me, but there’s no way he’s just 5 ft. So I’ll put him at 5ft 6in.
Just imagine, Diego’s s/o just being hella tall, where he has to crane his neck to look up at them and he has to like pull them down to get a kiss. That’s just so different, that I might actually like that. I doubt the power dynamics would change though (Diego will do his damn hardest to make sure he’s the dominant one in the bedroom), but hey I’m down for a dominant s/o and a sub Diego.
(Do you guys want more of these segment things where I just talk about Jojo? Tbh it’s a good way for me to expand on my thoughts about Jojo. I even have a couple of theories.)
something more impossible than witnessing the earth crash with the moon in this lifetime that I desperately wanna see, Jolyne and Jonathan fighting beside each other, yes jolyne jotaro father daughter duo is dope, but I need ancestor + bloodline finalist duo ☹️☹️ and Jonathan watching jolyne would just be cute in general
