I had an interesting exchange with Barking & Dagenham @jobcenterplus security staff today after literally cleaning their whole patch with four bags collected. The security staff member at the door had seen me cleaning. When I posed for this pic he addressed me very rudely, asking what I was doing there. I asked if he had any concerns he should state it and I would deal with it - He replied, “No!” I then went Hulk on this uncouth idiot and told him in no uncertain terms that I was a volunteer. He tried it again and this time I was louder and put him in his place, pointing out how clean and presentable the #jobcentreplus front forecourt looked. Luckily I volunteer for my satisfaction so I’m not allowing some two bob jobsworth on a power trip dictating things. Anyway, he got his derrière planted on a plate. Next time he will think twice. @jobcenterplus please remind your frontline staff of their public duty and customer service - This is good practise. After all this person is dealing with vulnerable people down in the dumps who need a little dignity after maybe having lost their jobs and income during Covid.
