It was a typical Sunday morning, slow and gentle. The sun shining through the cracked open curtains, bringing light to the bedroom. The rays of heat landing on the blankets that littered the bed, warming them up more than they already were.
Jongdae’s legs were tangled in yours, braiding into the array of disoriented sheets. His skin was hot against yours, over time you had grown used to it. How he took up most of the bed, stealing the blankets for himself. You found it endearing, even as it frustrated you, you never wanted him to stop.
You rolled over to see his sleeping face. You smiled at how his lips pouted, how his eyes were sealed shut to block out any unwanted light. His dark hair fell over his features, covering part of his face. You brushed a strand of hair away from his eye, staying as gentle as possible to not wake him.
As you moved his hair, you accidentally knocked his forehead. You silently screamed in your head, pulling your finger away and rolling back over. Nuzzling your face into your pillow, you pretended to be asleep. Behind you, Jongdae grunted. The mattress moving under you as he pulled himself closer to your body, placing an arm around your waist.
His face, rested on your neck as he kissed you on the cheek. You sunk your face further into the pillow, trying to hide your blushing. He snuggled into your neck, continuing to shower you with light kisses. “Stop trying to hide it, I know you’re awake,” Jongdae whispered in your ear, his warm breath bringing goosebumps to your skin.
You giggled into the pillow, stretching your arms out underneath it and wrapping it around your head. “No…” You curled up in a ball around the pillow.
He snaked his other arm under you, locking his hands together and rolling you around. You let out a tiny squeal as he spun you around, landing on his chest. He held you close, kissing the top of your head. "Why do you insist on lying to me?”
“I was not,” you retorted, grabbing the sheets and covering your blushing face.
“So, you’re telling me that someone else hit me on the head?” He moved his head back to see your face, wrapping his fingers around the sheets, that covered you, pulling them down.
He stared at you with eyes still full of sleep, rounded bags puffing under them. “Well, you never know what can happen.” You shrugged your shoulders, as Jongdae raised a brow at the response.
“Ha, whatever you say.” He kissed the tip of your nose as he twirled a lock of your hair around his index finger.
The faint sounds of the streets just outside the walls filled the room, creating noise in the silence between you. This happened often, moments where no words needed to be said. You each knew what the other was saying by the look in their eyes.
Jongdae’s eyes sparkled with the pale sunlight that shined throughout the room. The darkness in them gaining a glare from the soft beams. The corners of his lips curled into a grin as he watched your eyes move around his face.
“What ya thinkin’ about?” You watched his eyes carefully, taking in every movement, every second.
“You,” he breathed, releasing a deep sigh after speaking.
You looked down at his hands laced into yours, his thumb caressing the back of your hand. “Are you now,” you teased, rubbing the tip of your nose against his.
He blushed and rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. His eyes circled with the spinning fan, looping around with each turn of the blades. “I am,” he spoke, the genuine meaning behind his words coming through.
You followed his lead, putting yourself in a similar position. Keeping your hands locked together, you slid across the bed to be tucked into his side. Jongdae stayed silent, lost in the fan on the ceiling, spinning in circles. His deep breaths echoing in your ears. “What’s wrong?”
He laughed at the question, turning his head to look at your worried eyes. “That’s the thing, nothing is wrong. Absolutely nothing.” He brought a hand up and ran it across your warm cheek. “Everything’s perfect.”
“Oh,” you grinned. Before you could continue, he cupped your cheeks in his hands, crashing his lips into yours. They were hot on your own, sending sparks down your entire body. You pushed back, bringing your body close to his. Fingers intertwining in your hair, he collected every part of you, taking in all he could.
You felt like you were floating, drifting within a dream Jongdae crafted for you. One that only you would experience, holding his hand through the maze of stars and clouds. You were lost in him, his scent, the sound of he breaths on your skin, the feeling of his lips against yours.
Jongdae was the shining ray of light in your life. One that never went out and never would. A glowing star in the sky that lit up the dark night.
He lights you up.

“Your Highness, what are you doing here?” he asked, his breath blowing just above your lips.

There was a playful glint in his eyes, like he knew something you didn’t. “Is that so?” he smiled.

Chen's Birthday present
Soooo…. Because I hadn’t written a Chen scenario yet, I decided to make one today, because it is his birthday.
Happy birthday Chen!!!!!!! <3
Now I now I’m a little bit late, but in America it is still the 21st, so it still counts right? ^^ Hope you enjoy reading this scenario!
‘No, that’s not nice’, you said. You were out with one of your best friends, Chen, for his birthday. He had asked you to come along to pick out some clothes for the party he knew the members would throw. ‘What about this one?’, he said, while holding up the ugliest sweater ever. ‘Chen… are you serious?’ You looked at him, trying to figure out whether he was joking or not. He took another look at the ahjumma sweater and then gave you a questioning look. ‘What’s wrong with it?’, he asked. You were flabbergasted he was actually serious about the sweater and decided not to completely bring him down, because it was his birthday. ‘Well, it’s not really your colour.’ ‘Oh’. He put back the sweater and gave you another confused look. ‘I really don’t understand you’, he began his pouting. ‘How can there be such a thing as someone’s colour?’ ‘I don’t know’, you laughed. ‘But it does exist.’ He looked at you with furrowed eyebrows. ‘Think of it as a haircut’, you tried. ‘Some haircuts look really nice on someone, other you need to get used to and then you’ve got the haircuts that just don’t fit the person. Same thing with the haircolour.’ ‘Yeah… right…’, he replied. ‘So… What colours are my colours?’ ‘You’re more of a grey, light red, green, blue, white and black person.’ ‘But that are not so many colours’, he pouted back. You laughed, ‘Come on, there are enough nice clothes in those colours.’
After half an hour of searching the shop without any succes, Chen sighed. ‘Maybe it’s best if we go to the next shop. We won’t find anything here.’ Down-hearted, you sighed and silently agreed. You followed him outside and decided what the next shop was going to be. The same thing happened in this shop… and the next… and the next. When you came out of the 8th shop empty handed, after wondering around the city centre for over three hours, you sighed. ‘Normally they have thousands of lovely things for guys in every single shop and when you need it, they don’t have a thing.’ ‘And when they do, it’s Kris’ size’, he cleverly added. You sighed and rolled you eyes. ‘Let’s get something to eat before we continue’, you suggested, tired from the unsuccesful search. You went to a little cafe that looked out over a small square and ordered two hot chocolate drinks and two pieces of apple pie, since it was a pretty chilly almost autumn day. ‘Oh Chen! By the way! Is there anything special you would like for your birthday? I already got something for you, but I was wondering if there was anything you still needed…’ ‘Yes, thank you!’, he said to the waitress who had just arrived with the hot chocolate and apple pie. ‘Well, there isn’t really anything I can think of at the moment. But your friendship is enough’, he added while teasingly leaning into you. You pushed away his head and you both started laughing.
‘Okay, let’s get going again’, you said, when you had both finished your drink. You called out the waitress and paid the bill. You grabbed your bags again and made your way to the next shop. You regained confidence that you would find something after the little break, but you knew the clock was ticking. You went into one of the last shops in the centre you hadn’t been in yet and your mood immediately darkened. The whole shop was a mess, so you asked one of the employees what it was all about. She told you they were closing the shop, so they had final sale. You stayed in the shop and searched through the piles of clothes for something fitting, but everything seemed to be worn out, so you were quickly done in that shop. You sighed. ‘Okay, let’s go to the shopping mall then, this is not going to work out’, you said as you turned towards Chen. You could already see he was thinking the exact same thing, even before he spoke. ‘Yeah, that might be a better idea.’
You quickly turned around and walked out onto the street again, but the weather had changed. Before it was really cold, yet sunny, but now it was very cloudy and a little bit windy as well. You zipped your jacket al the way up, hands in the pockets and you started quickening your pace to the shopping mall. The street was very empty, but it had been all day, so there wasn’t anything suspicious about that.
You were approximately halfway towards the shopping mal, when it suddenly began pouring. You looked up to the sky and then at Chen. ‘Let’s get some shelter in that porch’, he said as he nodded towards a door behind you. You went in there and waited for a while.
‘I don’t think anything will change about the weather’, Chen sighed. You looked up towards the sky and realized he was probably right. The sky was filled with clouds and they were dark. It indeed didn’t seem like there would be an end to it anytime soon. ‘So…’, you hesitantly began, ‘Should we just run to the shopping mall?’ ‘I guess…’, Chen replied. You looked at him and nodded. You took a step forward, so you were only one small step away from running into the rain. You looked at him one more time, to reassure yourself he would come after you, took a deep breath and went out into the rain, running for the shopping mall.
You weren’t even 10 meters away from the porch and you were already drenched. You had no idea if Chen had run after you, but you didn’t really bother to look behind you. You just ran towards the shopping mall. Only when you arrived there, you quit to look behind you, hair flat beside you face and with panda eyes. You saw Chen was coming up right behind you and you held the door open.
Catching your breath, you started talking, ‘I’m going to the toilet for a second, fix this up a bit’, as you signalled towards your face. He grinned, signalling you to get out of there, before he had the chance to make a cheesy comment, so you quickly went to the ladies room.
When you came out, you saw Chen coming out of the men’s room. ‘You all fixed up?’, he grinned. His hair was still wet, partly sticking to his face. ‘Yes, I’m ready, let’s finally find you something right’, you replied with a sigh. You knew you could never win from Chen, at least, not in this case. ‘Let’s hope luck is on our side for once’, you added before walking into another shop.
You walked towards a pile of neatly folded dark grey sweaters. They had a collar which went up from the collarbone to the neck, but the neck was loose. You could close it with black buttons. Chen had also layed eyes on something really nice. It was an army green blouse. ‘These things are so much better than what we have seen so far’, you mumbled. ‘What should I try on?’, he asked. ‘That thing you are holding and this sweater. Oh, and over there you’ve got a shirt that would go well under that green thing. That is more suitable for a party, but just in case that doesn’t work out we’ll try the sweater’, you said. ‘Go to the fitting rooms and then we’re hopefully done for the day.’
‘You’ve got one on already ChenChen?’, you asked him through the curtain. The curtain was slowly opened and he stepped out. He was wearing the t-shirt with the green blouse. ‘Why did you button it up?’, you laughed as you stood up to unbutton his blouse again. ‘Isn’t that what these things are for? For buttoning them up?’, he asked confused. ‘Yes, but then you woul have to wear a shirt underneath it, and look at this…’, you stepped aside so he could check himself in the mirror, ‘…it looks really nice, Chen!’, you yelled estaticly, happy you had finally found something for the party later on that day. He tilted his head slightly and nodded in agreement. ‘I’ll buy this then’, he decided. You sighed in relief and closed the curtain again, so he could change back into his normal clothes. He came out, went to put back the grey sweater and bought the t-shirt and blouse.
You sighed in relief when you stood in front of the shop. ‘So, what should we do now?’, you asked. ‘We still have almost an our before we have to start preparing for tonight.’ ‘You remember what I wanted for my birthday?’, Chen suddenly said after a long pause. You looked at him surprised, but he was searching for something in the shopping mall. ‘You didn’t tell me remember…’, you said, while giving him a questioning look. He turned towards you, grabbed your wrist and pulled you to another side of the shopping mall.
‘Chen, what are you doing? Where are you taking me?’, you asked him. He looked at you, but he gave you a glance you had never seen before. Flabbergasted as you were, you obliged and followed him. He let out a little shy laugh and slowed down a little, before turning towards you. ‘Let’s take pictures in that photobooth over there.’
You followed him into the photobooth and he prepared the booth for the pictures. you sat down beside him and turned to face him. ‘So, how are we going to take the pictures?’, you asked him. ‘First a nice, funny pic? Maybe some really crazy pictures as the second, third and fourth?’, he asked in reply. ‘That sounds good’, and you reached for the ‘take-a-picture’-button.
You smiled at the camera, saw Chen doing the same and leaned a bit towards him. Then the picture was taken. Chen changed his expression into a duckface and seductively looked straight into the camera. In addition to that, you widened your eyes, opened your mouth, one hand covering it and the other pointing to his oh so seductive duckface. He laughed, leaned back and lifted one hand to caress your cheek. You closed your eyes and pretended to scream, also moving away from Chen, when the third photo was taken.
After the flash from the third photo, Chen immediately pulled you close. He looked you straight in the eye. ‘You really don’t remember what I wanted for my birthday?’, he whispered carefully. You looked at him, still not able to comprehend what he was talking about.
Just before the last flash, he closed his eyes and pressed his lips softly against yours. After a while you relaxed a little and you eventually slowly pulled back. You looked at him with wide eyes. ‘I love you, __. I’ve been feeling it for a while now, but I wasn’t really able to put my finger on it. But I’m sure.’ You closed your eyes, to comprehend what he was saying. When you opened them again, you saw Chen being a little less confident than usual.
‘So… When you just said you wanted me, or at least my friendship… I actually could have expected this…’, you asked him. He nodded and there was nothing left of the cocky, confident Chen.
You looked at him, to, for one last time, determine whether he was serious or just joking around with you. He seemed very serious. You took his wrist. ‘Chen…’, you calmly said. There was no response. He was still looking down, ashamed and afraid of what he got himself into. ‘Chen’, you tried again, a little more urgent this time. He slowly lifted up his head to look at you. You smiled at him.
‘I love you too’
