When real life and Sim life connect...
Today was a special day, on a personal level. This morning, I got to take my daughter, who's turning 4 this Christmas, to school for the first time. In The Netherlands, where we live, kids start school in a reception/kindergarden type class at 4 years old but prior to their 4th birthday they get to for a few times to "test the waters" so to speak.
Now, the funny part of all this is that at my children's school, all three of these reception classes have garden/critter related names. One is called The Ant's Nest, another The Butterfly Garden and this class, the one my son was placed in 4,5 years ago and my daughter got to go to today is called... THE BEEHIVE!
Now, if you haven't been following me for long time, this won't seem all that special to you, but I was flabbergasted when I first realised this. See, "The Beehive" is the name of my very own Sims school. My first ever TS3 build and the place from which my whole town grew. The place that was responsible for me naming the town Honeycomb Valley and, as a result, naming the story A Taste of Honey. My school that existed many years before my eldest child was even born.
A funny coincidence or a weird twist of fate?
