I got some free time, so I'm practicing without stepping too far out of my comfort zone :)
(part 1) (can't believe it's been a full year and a half since I started this train of thought -_-" ) so they find a house and it's...old. Old and surrounded by weeds tall enough to be home to some very wild, very angry cats. But the house isn't tilted and the roof isn't caved in so it can't be that bad, Karin figures. Once they do something about the cats.
Suigetsu suggests stuffing them into a sack and dumping them in the mountains, Karin thinks about luring them away with food. In the end they use a bottle of catnip (that Sasuke carries for reasons he will not disclose) and the cats become Sasuke's loyal followers, trailing after him with suspicion turned fondness in their eyes. "Just like you Suigetsu" Karin laughs and then dodges as he swings at her with his blade. Suigetsu, of course, was tasked with trimming the weeds and is not happy about it. His blade was made for better things, he insists and everyone just rolls their eyes. Renovations take time because they're a group of renegade ninja whose adventures take them all over the place and none of them have fixed anything house-related in their lives before ("it can't be that hard" Suigetsu said at first and then the water pipes burst) but eventually after a lot of bickering between Karin and Suigetsu and many, many sighs from Sasuke the house begins to take a solid shape again. It's Juugo that brings everyone's ideas together into something coherent and he does it in that quiet, unobtrusive way he has about him and one day, they get back to the house and realize it has turned into a home.
A little late, but got something written for the Fools In Love event hosted by @multisaku-rarepair-cove
JuugoSaku was the pairing and prompt was High Noon/Midnight

What is Juugo’s relationship with his parents? Is there any strain due to his lack of control over his monster form? What about his sisters?
Leonie and Arlo are very doting of all three of their children, but Juugo always got a little extra attention because the twins tended to pair up and he was by himself.
So whether it was being his mother’s muse for paintings in the aviary or learning as the heir apparent, they made sure he felt just as special as his sisters.
His lack of control over his transformation was inherited from his father, who still had to use his Uzumaki attendants sealing technique to control it. Depending on the AU, it changes from him being kidnapped by his shady uncle or to him going looking for this uncle because he mastered the transformation without needing the help of seals, but either way his lack of control was never a problem for his family so much as it was for him. Really, it would only be his mother that would be hypothetically in danger. Which does each at him because that’s his mom
Him and his sisters (Juri and Junko) get along really well, minus the typical sibling roughhousing and rivalry, and that’s why he had a timer to figure his stuff out before they came to find him/try to bring him home. He’s a good person and they refuse to let him think negatively of himself over something that’s not his fault. They also think he should return home with Kimimaro to act as the heir he is
