Do I think Kenji actually would have punched Ben, I’m not sure. But I feel like it could have added to the drama of season 4

the delusion... it's coming back. it's coming back strong
I keep seeing people on TikTok and here saying that they thought Chaos Theory wasn’t a good show, and maybe I’m blinded by nostalgia and the fact that I love the Nublar 6 so much that I’ll watch anything about them, but let me give my opinion on the show:
Obviously Camp Cretaceous fell off a little bit after season 3, but seasons 4 and 5 had a lot of good moments and they were still well done.
Chaos Theory season 1 showed the impact of the events of the first show and the effects of dinosaurs being on the mainland. Showing the campers as young adults made them feel almost real, and while some of their character development was forgotten, it was enjoyable to watch them grow more as adults.
I personally didn’t enjoy season 2 all that much, but it was a good bridge into season 3 and allowed for more character development and it pushed the plot further. Season 3 introduced new characters, it created new relationship dynamics, and it changed old ones, and while it had its less than amazing moments, the season was still good.
Lastly, season 4 tied into Jurassic World Dominion so well. I felt like the ending was a satisfying way to wrap up the Nublar Six’s story. I also enjoyed the tension that came from Ben being hurt. It wasn’t the best season, but it was pretty good.
Really, my main issue with the show was Brooklynn. I felt like the writers forgot about the depth of her character and took her “negative” traits too far. Yes, in Camp Cretaceous she was headstrong and ambitious and slightly reckless (going into Hap’s hut, taking over when Sammy wanted to explore the construction site, Wu’s laptop, etc.) but if anything she’s always been one to drag her friends along with her for her adventures, not leave them behind time and time again. I think the writers wanted to give her the character development of being a bad friend so driven to solve the mystery and then learn the error of her ways, but they didn’t execute it properly and instead they just made her unlikable.
Long story short: I think people are hating too hard on Chaos Theory because we all had our hopes up that it would be better than Camp Cretaceous, but the last two seasons in CC weren’t amazing, so it makes sense that CT wouldn’t be a perfect 10/10. However, CT had good seasons, an interesting plot, and decent character development, BUT they really dropped the ball on Brooklynn’s character which overall declined the quality of the show.
There’s just smth abt Brooklynns hair over time that really caught my attention
In CC she always had pink hair, even in the end during the video call, which isn’t much change.
In CT Yaz mentions on the video call that Brooklynns hair coming out purple was oh accident, so she obviously intended to dye it pink once again.
I feel like that part of it could also resemble the fact that Brooklynn has changed but she isn’t exactly willing to admit it
After her arm left the chat I think there was also some realization there, so resembled through her hair.
Brooklynn never intended to stay “dead” for as long as she did. Yes, she did go undercover afterwards, but even before that there wasn’t much of a need for her too look different as she was just hiding at Ronnie’s.
I think her dying her hair blue also resembles the fact she’s realized she has changed. She’s come to terms, even if it’s negative, but more change has happened. She isn’t trying to dye it pink Idfk how pink would be blue on accident, but yeah.
Sorry if I sounded like an old man idk how to word it interestingly 🥀🥀🥀🥀
but yeah that’s one of my thoughts I’ve had since season 2
