Coping with Chaos Theory ending with an au where the campers were never able to get off of Isla Nublar and had to just keep surviving on the island.

…right until years later when the volcano started erupting and getting off the island suddenly became very important.

Eventually the campers started to outgrow their old clothes, or they just got too torn up, so they had to find something to replace them. But basically all that was available was Jurassic World merch, and after everything they’d been through with the hybrids and the park and Wu leaving them for dead, they didn’t have the most positive feelings towards the park anymore so they covered up the logos.

The only articles of clothing that weren’t from gift shops were Brookylns old jacket which still (sort of) fit her, Kenji’s pants which were his dads from the pent house that he started wearing once he was old enough that they fit, and Ben’s vest which he found in Owen Brady’s shack and thought looked cool.

Yaz’s ankle wasn’t able to fully heal right without access to proper medical equipment, so she does still need to have a makeshift brace on it. She can still run away from danger when need be, but if she over exerts it she’ll be out of commission for a few days after. Everyone got other minor injuries over the years, hence all the scars, but I think after all that time they’d have figured out which plants in the jungle would be able to help with aches and pains.

Although I didn’t draw her they still absolutely have Bumpy as part of their pack and she’s gotten them out of more than a few close calls. I think it’d be fun if they’d befriended one or two other dinos as well but I haven’t decided what yet.

The campers got even closer and more trauma bonded to each other. They’re practically inseparable, mostly moving as a unit. They can still go out on solo missions, but if it lasts more than a couple hours everyone gets really antsy. I’d want them to have the same ‘I’ll kill I’ll lie I’ll blackmail I’ll do anything to keep you safe’ energy that the gang has in the later half of Chaos Theory but the whole time. If they got back to the mainland this time around I don’t think they’d be able to live apart anymore.

And there’s no way they’d leave Bumpy, if they’re going she’s going too. Which means when the volcano starts erupting and all the mercenary guys from Fallen Kingdom show up the campers have to make sure they steal a boat big enough for Bumpy to come, which is easier said than done.

So yeah! It was super fun drawing this, as doing Camp Cretaceous/Chaos Theory art always is! I can’t believe the show is over, I already want to go back and rewatch it all.

Happy pride month!!! Here are some Camp Cretaceous head cannons!

Yaz was in Texas for something when they all got back home, so she went to Sammy’s ranch for the first time. She was so nervous to meet her girlfriend’s family, but before she even knocked on the door Mr. and Mrs. Gutierrez ran out and practically tackled her in a hug and Yaz realized that Sammy’s entire family was just like her: welcoming and kind and amazing.

One time they were all playing Cards Against Humanity and Kenji mispronounced a word so horrifically that the group bullied him for the rest of the game. To this day, someone will randomly text him/the group chat “do you remember when Kenji couldn’t say ‘Lithuania?’”

Brooklynn had a secret TikTok account where she made edits of shows/movies she liked (mainly Hunger Games)

Kenji would never admit it but he LOVES the Twilight movies. He made Yaz watch them one time and now she also secretly likes them

Kenji found out that Build-A-Bear had dinosaur stuffed animals, so he went and made Ben an ankylosaurus, Ben teared up a little when Kenji gave it to him

They have like 100 different group chats for random shit with any combination of them. Yaz, Sammy, and Ben’s is titled either “a tricycle needs a third wheel” or “two girls and their son.” Kenji named the gc with him, Darius, and Ben “the boyz r back.”

When they got their settlement money from Jurassic World after filing the biggest lawsuits ever, they all took a trip to Disney World, they avoided Animal Kingdom for obvious reasons

Darius packed up every dinosaur toy/stuffed animal in his room when he got back home except for the last one his dad ever bought him

About ten years after everything (CC and Chaos Theory) someone approached them and asked to write a book about what happened to them. Everyone agreed and pretty much used it as a way to reminisce and tell stories about their time on the island and on their adventures in Chaos Theory. It became a bestseller
