🌍 Of all the things we’ve ever done at @tkflt, my favorite has been supporting @kefaproject. The Kefa Project (pronounced kay-fuh) is a non-profit organization that works in Rwanda to empower at-risk youth through sports. They work on community teams to prevent child homelessness, promote education, and they invest in kids so they can discover their talents and pursue their passions and dreams in life. They also run a boarding soccer academy for formerly homeless kids to reach their full potential physically, spiritually, and educationally. Their kids are amazing, and they are going to change the world (: . 👟 Since about this time last year, @tkflt has supported the Kefa Project by donating a portion of every Take Flight® shoe sale to them. Relatively speaking, our donations to Kefa are pretty meager, but I know they value them, and we are committed to continuing to help them achieve their mission, which quite frankly is waaaaay cooler than making clothing and shoes for Parkour lol. And don’t get me wrong - Parkour is awesome, and in my opinion the sport itself is life changing! I just think helping at risk-youth is a more valuable endeavor. We all play a part though : ) . ❤ I love sports, and I have a soft spot for kids. So when I set out to find an organization to support through Take Flight, Kefa just felt right. A big influence on my decision was also that they are a smaller organization, so every dollar counts to them. If you’d like to support them too, or if you'd just like to learn more about them, head on over to KefaProject.org.
