On the hottest day in the history of Lubbock (ok maybe that’s not totally true, but 114 is kinda hot 🥵) KK , my adorable cooking student, and I made stuffed bell peppers! 🌶🧀🥩🥫🍽 We used the @thepioneerwoman recipe as a base and then KK made some key decisions to make it her own! We also discussed how we could add or take away things to make it Italian or Mexican themed! 🇮🇹 🇲🇽 I’ve really been trying to teach her recipes that she can memorize and use without notes. That’s how @mamava42 taught me, and it’s faired me well all these years so I’m just passing it along to the next generation! 📖 🤔🤗 We tasted as we went, a lesson all cooks must know, and KK did a great job adjusting the seasonings to make it perfect! This young lady has really come a long way and her knife skills and knowledge are really growing!
