the other thing i have against aging down the adult human cast of TMNT [primarily Casey and April, but I'm aware its been done to Karai and even Baxter Stockman too] is like?

The fuck do you get out of making these characters kids that you can't get from them being adults? Other than romantic bullshit? Or more scenes inside of schools?

As far as I'm aware of aging down Casey and April doesn't really do much but reduce the kinda shit they can do story wise.

And also... there's literally human teen characters that are allies of the turtles could be used instead of de-aging Casey and April for similar age turtle peers. Keno and Angel are right fucking there with plenty of room for new character interactions and exploration for them.

In the Rise comics a character that might be the Rise version of Keno was  introduced

Keno is a character from the 1990′s film series who was a friend of April & the Turtles so it’s kind of cool to see that he has a Rise counterpart & not only that but he also works for Donnie’s favourite Pizza place.

Donnie: Let’s get us some of my favourite! Tony Lou's Pizza!

Which I think might be a fun reference to how the Keno’s actor originally started out as a stunt double for Donnie in the first film of the 1990′s film series but the producers liked him so much that they offered him a role as his own character in the sequel 

Something that’s interesting about Rise is that there are a lot of nods to previous iterations of TMNT so the fact that the comics character is wearing a similar jacket to Keno & that the comics gave him a slight connection to Donnie makes me think that even though he isn’t really named the character that we seen in the comics is the Rise version of Keno.

OK, I have an idea for Keno!

Since we haven't seen him at all in rotTMNT, I have decided to make my own version!

I was thinking maybe he could be in league with the witches, but he's a wizard who hangs out with April. She literally has no idea whatsoever that he's magical and such, but once she introduces him to the guys and girls, his magic is everywhere. Everyone is impressed but Winnie, who is very frightened, seeing as she's had several incidents with wizards and witches who just so happened to be there.
