Galen Marek headcanon

If Galen Marek/Starkiller was born prior to the clone wars.

Galen would be 3 when he came to the temple after his parent's deaths.

Quinlan Vos would be the one to bring him to the temple and train him.

Marek would be frustratingly rebellious independent, autonomous, defiant and free-thinking.

Galen would've been hated by Mace Windu.

Galen would completely ignore the Jedi code's ban on romantic relationships, and attachments.

Many of the female Jedi would adore Galen in different ways.

Whenever Windu gives Anakin a hard time, Galen would stick up for him.

After Shmi's death, Galen would be there for Anakin even though he wouldn't be told what happened.

On Geonosis, Galen would save Jango's life, resulting in Fett owing him one.

With Yoda's direct permission, Galen would thoroughly study and successfully master Vaapad, much to Mace's infuriation considering what happened to Depa when he taught her the form.

Mace would eventually respect Galen to a degree, but never admit it even to himself.

Despite disliking each other, Mace & Galen would work surprisingly well together.

Until order 66, Galen would respect the clones, look out for them, and treat them like family.

Galen would work with the Bad Batch instead of commanding a battalion, since half of the Council doesn't trust a wildcard like him with his own division.

Marek would call the Council out on denying him his own division after finding out they gave one to Pong Krell of all Jedi.

After Ahsoka's trial, Jedi Knight Galen would also leave the Order and encourage others to do the same, but stick with the squad.

After seeing and sensing how much it hurt everyone, Galen would confront the Council about faking Obi-Wan's death.

During Operation Knightfall, Galen would use the Rogue Shadow to evacuate as many younglings as it could carry while covering their escape.

Marek would cut down more than half of the troops attacking the temple, by himself, considerably reducing the Jedi casualties.

Galen would have a fierce confrontation with Anakin/Vader, and win.

Proxy and the temple training droids would also be used to defend the temple and aid in evacuation.

The temple guards were able to help with the defence because Galen killed the would-be Grand Inquisitor before he could strike down any of his brethren.

Galen would go with Yoda to confront Sidious.

I finally calculated when Galen Marek was born since no one seems to know. Judging from his appearance a child, we can assume he’s max like 4 or something. We also know that Kento Marek his father died 18bby. That would mean Galen was born in 22BBY. At the latest 21bby.

Alternate Universe- What if Anakin's mother survived and Anakin never went dark side. Padme has the twins on Tatooine and survives. Anakin tries to help the surviving Jedi, while still keeping his family secret. Meanwhile Darth Sidious has been crowned emperor and is going after the remaining Jedi. Rumors have it he's looking for a new apprentice. Anakin gets to be a daddy.

Chapter 49 - Back and Gone

Anakin worried for his son.  He’d never seen anything like that before, and he wanted to go into protective dad mode and insist Luke get checked out immediately, but there wasn’t time for that.  Aco-Ness was standing there, holding up the ship’s Mainframe that was the last thing his son interacted with while under the effects of… whatever made his eyes glow.  

“Dad, we have to get back to the ship.  Before… He…” Luke waved in the direction Vader was buried under.  

“Right.  Let’s go.” Anakin and Obi-Wan helped Luke up while Aco-Ness followed them with the device.  

Once back, Anakin took the mainframe from the pirate and went right to work installing it.  “Padawan, hand me that…”  

Before he even finished the sentence, Galen passed him the tool he needed.  Their Master-Padawan Bond was growing stronger.  

“Thanks,” Anakin sent him feelings of gratitude, which made the young man blush with pride.  

“You know, I never expected to see a bunch of Pirates group hug like that.  They’re still at it, you know.”  Galen looked over his shoulder and into the next room.  

“Yeah, they are really happy to have Aco-Ness back.  He’s their crew-mate, their family.” Anakin knew how easy a crewmate could become like family.  “And they were really worried about him.  There we go, how about you go push that startup key for me.” Galen ran over and waited with his hand over the key while Anakin counted down.  “Three, Two, One.”  

As both men pressed their keys, lights started to come on all across the panel.  Anakin ran over and hugged his Padawan in triumph.  “WEEWH! We’re up and running, everybody!” He announced loud enough for the next room to hear.

Triumphant voices hollered back.

“Huh? Where am I?” A female voice came out of one of the ship’s speakers.  

“TX.  It is I, Huyang.  These are my Jedi masters.  They needed to transfer your mainframe to this vessel to make it functional.  It’s a long story, but one I’m sure you’ll find satisfaction in hearing.”  The droid walked in speaking to the ship.

“A working hyperdrive.   A Navicomputer that doesn’t need error calculations.  Oh, I feel out of the factory again!  This is wonderful.”  The ship replied.  

Anakin smiled.  “Yes, glad to do it.  What did you say her name was?  TX Stormchaser, I’m glad to meet you.”

“No, That classification was to the old bucket of bolts that was me before.  This is another ship, and system analysis says that the core components to three other ships were installed to get me functional again.  I need a new classification.”

“Oh…Um…” Anakin and the others looked at each other for an idea.  

“How about Rogue Shadow.” Juno Eclipse suggested, then shrugged.  “The name’s always stuck on my tongue, and I always thought I’d name a ship that, If I ever got the chance to name a ship, that is.”

“Ooh.  Well, I like that name.  I’m updating my classification as we speak.” The girl smiled proudly.  “What are your orders?  Database says the Jedi are stationed on Coruscant.  Would you like me to return you to grid coordinates L-Nine, point zero, zero, zero?”  

Several voices in the room rushed to call out at once, “NO!”

I'm thinking of writing a fanfic about Galen Marek.

Retconning him back into current continuity, and finishing his story.

Would people be interested in that...? Or just me?

Hello Everyone, I’ve posted chapter 28 to Return of the Survivors.  Below is a small selection.  Please click the link to read more.

Story Summary:  Alternate Universe- What if Anakin's mother survived and Anakin never went dark side. Padme has the twins on Tatooine and survives. Chapter 28 - Story Tellers

News spreads fast amongst the Jedi Order.  Especially news of newly discovered survivors of the purge, two of them, in fact.  Anakin was asked to meet them at the community center and help get them settled in, and since one of them was a boy Luke’s age, he picked his son up early from his classes and brought him too.  

"Hello Kento.  And you must be Galen."  Anakin bowed to greet the no longer ex-Jedi and his son.

Galen laughed.  His father blushed and apologized, “You must forgive us, we haven’t had the time to learn proper Jedi manners yet.”

Anakin smiled, “No problem.  This is my son Luke.  Luke, this is Galen.  I want you to show him around while I talk to his father,” said Anakin.  

“Hi Galen.  Did you really live with the Wookiees?  What was it like?” The inquisitive Luke started drilling him with questions.

Anakin watched as the two seven year olds disappeared down the hallway.  “They’ll be friends in no time.  How are you finding Tatooine?”

“It’s very different from Kashyyyk, but to Galen it’s like a whole new world.  He’s eager to explore,” Kento answered him.  

“We haven’t had a lot of returns, even after the change to the code.  Why did you want to return to the Jedi lifestyle?”

“Kashyyyk was getting dangerous.  More and more slavers were coming, and if it were just me, I'd have stayed to help them.  You know that's how my wife died. My dear Mallie." Kenton had tears in his eyes.  "But it isn't just me. I have to do what's best for Galen.  We're just lucky you're people were going to Kashyyyk for a supply run when they were."

"Yes, the Wookiees have always been good allies.  I wish we could help them more.  And I understand your reasons. As a father, they are the center of your world."

"Yes, I heard about your story.  I must say I am in awe. To face down the masters after having a secret attachment is brave. I don't think I could have done that. Just facing my former master, Master Zahn, would've been hard enough."

"Ah. You know Master Zahn is here today.  You should go talk to him." Anakin suggested.

"Oh no!  I don't think I'm brave enough yet."

"I think he'll be more understanding than you think.  You know he almost died in the purge.  When I went to the temple I managed to rescue a few Jedi.  I pulled him from the room of a thousand fountains, all the way to the hanger.  He was badly injured, and we didn't know if he would survive, but he proved tougher than a Bantha."

Kento gave a nervous laugh.  “I bet.”

“Lets see, you’ve had your bedtime snack, you’ve brushed your teeth, put on your pajamas.” Bail listed, as he tried to remember the routine his wife had given him.  It was usually Breha who put their daughter to bed at night, but she had to work tonight, so he’d volunteered to take over.  “What’s next?  I’m forgetting something.  Was I supposed to make your bed again?”

Five year old Mara laughed.  “No daddy, you’re supposed to give me a kiss,” she reminded her father.  

“Oh yes.  Why I’d forget my head if it weren’t attached.  Mwah.  Love you dear.”  

“Love you daddy.”  Bail went to turn out the light.  “Daddy can you tell me a story?”

“A bedtime story?  Sure I can.”  Bail made his way back to the bed, picking up a chair along the way.  “What sort of story do you want to hear?”  

“About how you got me.  My Adoshin,” Mara suggested.

“One of my favorites!” Bail sat beside the girl’s bed and started telling his story.  “In the beginning the Queen and Viceroy of Alderaan were very unhappy.  They had no children and no one to share their love with.  There was a war and though the Queen and Viceroy tried to do the right thing, it was getting harder and harder to lead a rebellion and a planet."...

A Premonition

The boy before him now almost made the future he saw of him impossible, like there was no possible way that this sweet and kind child could ever be twisted and molded into something so Dark. But—the Dark side had its many ways of changing even the wisest and purest of people, as it does nothing but corrupt and take without heeding any mind to the consequences.

It brings nothing but distrust and ruin, to both the people affected by and the one using it, but V’alor has faith, despite the dark future of the boy. He sees none of it now, none but the Light guiding him to a better future, one where Galen could live not knowing the rot and despair the Dark side gives despite the grand power it offers and tempts many with.

Once, perhaps, V’alor had entertained the thought to use it, to give in. But Master Ti had talked to him then, and she did not judge nor berate him, but merely asked if it was what he really wanted for himself, if suffering despite the power he’d gain from using the Dark side is the future he wants. And V’alor had not hesitated to answer.

“Too many Jedi have died in one day, too many Lights have been put out that it’s getting far too Dark to see,” he had said, as he stared off absently into the sky. “And I’m afraid of the Dark, Master. How could I follow and give in to something I fear?”

She had looked solemnly at him then, but—she understood him. And although she wanted to say something else that day, she didn’t. Instead, she had silently sat right next to him, soothing him just as he offered her a shoulder to lean on.
