Such a chill day yesterday was! From start to finish I felt zero anxiety, no overwhelming stress, and only pleasant work/life balance and all the happy smiles. Strange how rare a day like that is, though they’re getting far more common the more I relax into this quarantine lifestyle.
I neglected to mention that thanks to @zerocarb I made Keto Chow cookies on Sunday and they turned out AMAZING. She’s right though, the batter is far superior to the cookies, but the cookies are great too. I used this recipe using Salted Caramel Keto Chow and Lily’s chocolate chips. I added it into MFP, btw, you’re welcome. I now need to exhibit will power in not eating them all in one sitting.
Kevin’s way stressed about upcoming exams so I’ve taken over all erp, house, and food responsibilities so he can focus on cramming his brain with all the knowledge and yesterday’s dinner was such a breeze thanks to our sous vide. If I haven’t mentioned it before, I HIGHLY encourage anyone who enjoys eating tasty meats to get one. I sent my sister a Marco Polo instructional video on the sous vide which is where the screenshot came from.
I threw the chicken in around 3 p.m. then at 5 p.m., when work was over, I turned on the oven to pre-heat then went out into the garage with erp to get my skwatz in. When I was done 40 minutes later I threw the broccoli in the oven before I took the chicken out of the pot to sear them on the stove top while the broccoli was finishing up. Everything was complete around the same time and it took minimal effort from me to make a tasty and healthy meal.
Ignoring the awful outfit combination of my comfy house dress paired with squat shoes, I’m surprised by how much I’m not hating on my thighs lately. Sure, they’re always going to be thick, but I’m impressed with how much I don’t mind seeing them while I review my form in my lift videos. Love that I’m seeing my thighs from the perspective of being powerful and strong instead of the negative mindset I’ve always had of them.
