Doey, kissy and dog day with a player who has a broken arm from the train. The player while with a broken arm refuses rest and continues on like its not broken. Poppy also thinks it's not a big deal. Fueling players lack of self care. Somehow they carried dog day to safe haven.

Doey, Kissy and Dogday & Player with a broken arm

Doey

★ Doey immediately notices the awkward way the player is holding their arm. He's concerned but decides to trust the Player's judgment for now. He can worry about you later.

★ When you get to Safe Haven, Doey points to your arm. "Looks like you've had a pretty bad fall, friend!" the Medic shifts his attention from Kissy to your arm. You wave him off. "It's nothing, just a scratch."

★ He doesn't believe that in the slightest. Even though you have things to do, that injury will need to be addressed. Despite the Player's best efforts, it's obvious you're in pain.

★ So, being the responsible adult person he is, Doey picks you up by your shoulders and carries you to the medic. Protest all you want, he's not letting you get out of it!

Kissy

★ She notices what happened to your arm as soon as you meet again. With concern for your well being, Kissy shakes her head and looks at Poppy, who seems more focused on her plan.

★ Even though she isn't exactly a doctor, she tries her best to remedy the situation. Her approach is to use a makeshift splint to keep the area from moving. Later, when she gets hurt, you take it off and give it to her.

★ When you finally give in and relax, she puts her good arm around your shoulders before leaning on your side. Congratulations, you're a pillow now! Can't go anywhere if she falls asleep on you. (She knows what she's doing)

Dogday

★ Dogday feels incredibly guilty for needing to be carried out of the Playhouse's prison. You struggle to stay up as the smiling critters follow behind you. Though, somehow you both made it out alive.

★ He argues with Poppy over her pushing you too much. Sure, you might be able to take it now. But what's the point if you end up dead? It's bound to happen if you aren't careful.

★ In the Safe Haven he asks you to rest with him and Kissy. Despite you clearly needing to take a break, you remain committed to the idea of continuing. Fortunately for both of you Doey steps in.

Instead of carrying out Poppy's plans, if Reader stood up to the prototype alone and died with the prototype to save Doey and the other dolls of safe haven, what would be Doey, Poppy, and Kissy's reaction?

Reader firmly promised to leave the factory with the prototype before stepping forward, but the promise was ultimately broken.

If you feel bad about this, you can ignore it completely.

Player who died with the prototype

Doey

★You lied to him. He trusted you, trusted that you could save them all from the Prototype. That you and all his friends could be free. But after everything you've been through, you finally ran out of luck. The player left and didn't come back.

★ Holding one of the Player’s belongings they left behind. A scarf, glove or earring. Something insignificant then but precious now. He has an internal argument about what happened to you. "Why did they lie? Why did they leave? I could’ve stopped them. We should’ve stopped them."

★ He remembers their smile, their determination to help, the way they trusted him to keep everyone safe. And how, in the end, he couldn’t save them. They promised. They promised they’d come back. But they didn’t.

★ Doey clings to your promise, even though he knows it is broken. They will all leave the factory someday, but you won't be there to see it. Now that the Prototype is gone, they're free. He just wishes you could've been free with him.

Poppy

★ Poppys first reaction is anger. She’s furious that the Player didn’t listen to her, that they chose to go alone despite her having a plan. "You should have followed my plan. Why didn’t you listen?!" She mutters to herself as she paces around the Safe Haven.

★ Even though she is angry at you, she can't deny the sense of relief that floods her porcelain body. The Prototype, her biggest threat, is gone. Though that relief quickly feels like a knife twisting in her chest. Because it came at the cost of your life.

★ As time moves on, she tries to rationalize what happened. “They knew what they were doing.” Poppy thinks. “The Prototype was too dangerous to let live, it had to end like this.” But even then, a small voice in the back of her head tells her otherwise.

Kissy

★ At first, she's numb. Standing still and not knowing how to feel. The reality of it doesn’t sink in until much later, when she’s back in Safe Haven with the others. Surrounded by toys alive because of the Player’s decision. It hits her all at once.

★ She breaks down away from the others, in a quiet corner of the Safe Haven. Back against a wall as she covers her eyes with a hand and begins to cry. Sobs barely audible but still loud enough to gain the attention of poppy. Who comforts kissy to the best of her ability.

★ Though she knows it was the Player’s choice, she can't help but feel responsible. Replaying the moments leading up to the players decision in her head. Wondering if she could have done anything to stop you. Every time, she reaches the same conclusion, she couldn't.

I'm back at it again with the Poppy Playtime fluff because chapter 4 broke me, and I need Doey and Kissy to be happy QvQ

Doey and Kissy friendship head canons

★ In quieter moments, they sit side by side and just enjoy each other's company. No words need to be said. They sometimes re-read books they have read a hundred times before and try to forget about all of the problems they have. It usually works!

★ When there's food, Doey makes sure to save her something. Occasionally not eating himself to make sure her needs are met. When he comes across something special, like a can of peaches or corn, he sets it aside for her to have later.

★ Doey is usually calm and composed, but when he gets mad, it's typically because something or someone has gone too far. It's rare these days but in those instances when his frustration boils over, it's never pretty.

★ Que Kissy, she's well aware of his temper. When something threatens her, or any of his other friends, it's hard for him calm down. Thankfully, through the years she's found ways to intervene. Like listening to him vents his frustrations or wrapping her arms around him to help soothe his nerves.

★ Doey and Kissy organize game nights with the other toys. Doey gathers everyone who wants to join in a cozy corner of Safe Haven and brings out various board games he's found around the factory. Sometimes they even make new rules to keep things interesting.

★ Charades is another game they play, however Doey has been banned from doing anything but guess. He's just too good at it! It wouldn't be fair if he kept giving people easy points. No, he's not sad about it. If anything, it's a complement!

★ While scavenging, Doey looks around the factory for things the smaller toys can turn into something pretty. He stumbles upon a half decent set of wooden blocks? They can be painted to look like buildings! It gives the smaller toys something to do and Kissy gets a new toy to play with.

★ Kissy cares very much for Doey, obviously, he is one of her closest friends and she couldn't be more grateful for him. And she knows he feels the same way. But the reality of their situation always lingers in the background, making the moments of happiness they share bittersweet.
