Had the best single malt Irish whiskey last night along with some delicious bites thanks to @knappoguewhiskey and @blackpigcle. . @knappoguewhiskey is made with malted barley. "Malted" means that the barley has been germinated and then had its growth halted by heat. It's then dried in ovens without the use of peat. This means that there isn't any heavy smoky flavor and it's really smooth. . The 12 year is under $40 which is a great value! It mixed well in cocktails but was also perfect straight up. . We were served three kick ass apps, all so good I couldn't pick a favorite. 🔸️Crab on a rice crisp with caviar 🔸️Pork belly with beet glaze + pickled apple 🔸️Celery root cakes with pear butter and charred leek mascarpone Every bite was perfection.
