Thecka did the responsible thing. She texted the group chat the second she saw some strangers in costume apparently casing a joint. Nobody could deny she did that.
She also did the responsible thing in changing into her hero costume and going up behind them to see if she could overhear what was going on.
Unfortunately, that was where her luck ran out. Apparently the guy without a costume had super hearing.
Which is why she was without her team and thrown clear across a roof after she went to punch them.
Ego bruised more than her skin, she got up. "Whatever crime you're planning, you won't get away with it," Knockback said, hoping to buy some time.
"Crime?" the boy without a costume said. "We're not planning a crime."
"Right, and you were casing the joint to help figure out what you're getting grandma for her birthday," Knockback snarked.
The boy looked over at the girl with a muscle shirt and lasso, then at the guy in the armored suit. The guy in the armored suit said, "We're not casing it! I mean, okay, we think there are some supervillains operating out of there, but, well, we weren't the ones planning on committing a crime!"
That caused Knockout to pause. "Wait, what? You're heroes? I've never heard of you, though, nor seen you at Aegis."
"We're from out of town," the boy in the t-shirt said.
And that was when Dashing teleported in with the rest of the Consequences.
