STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE // S4E15 Sons of Mogh For a long time I have tried to walk the line between the Empire and the Federation. I told myself I could live in either world – that it was my choice. But the truth is I cannot go back to the Empire.

Worf had always struggled with his hair. His parents tried their best when he was a child, going so far as to consult a xeno-biologist so they knew exactly what he needed. But they simply didn't have access to the products he needed. Even the brushes and combs they had couldn't force their way through his hair, usually snapping after only a week.

So Worf straightened it and cut it short. He wasn't a big fan of the style but at least it was presentable. Until one day, during a resupply at a Star Base, a package arrived for him. Inside it was stuffed with pots and vials containing more oils, conditioners, and styling creams than he knows what to do with. Luckily there's also a Pad with every tutorial he could ever need, as well as a wide variety of brushes and combs that have been carved out of targ bones. The only thing that identifies the sender is a single note:

'No brother of mine is having a bob cut'

I was ranting to my wife yesterday about the similarities between Worf and Finn the Human (grew up as the only Klingon/Human, without any access to that culture, using secondhand knowledge to understand that part of their identity and getting a warped understanding, but still sometimes looked to as an example by others).

She adds that Simon is kind of like Kurn, if Kurn didn’t wipe his mind….. then we remembered Fionna and Cake Season 1 and screamed.

Rest in peace, Tony Todd. Most people knew you for Candyman, but not me. On Star Trek, you were the honorable brother of Worf and the Jake Sisko who lost his future to grief. In Transformers, you were the ultimate villain in The Fallen and the tragic Decepticon Dreadwing. And there are probably lots of other people that knows you for things beyond this, and I don’t think people will forget you.
