Captain Chigda meets Wish Master Kuroda's baby, Liroda!
Part of an AU :3
Kuroda 黒田 (Odd Taxi)
Having recently watched the series, of course my favorite supporting character is the dude who’s voiced by the same guy that’s known for being gaming’s prominent Yakuza Dad.
wish masters and their captains
Great, I was trying to verify my headcanon about Chigda's age and what I found was even more confusing timeline conundrum...
What's really tricky is that we don't know for sure when the Aurosa bloomed in those years. One readable mentions that Aurosa struggled to bloom during the war of Heavens:
This was the final moment of peace before the great war between The Gods and The Dark. Beneath the calm, a subtle but growing sense of dread had already taken root. The Aurosa’s blooming season had come, yet it remained closed tight, while dangerous vines—thriving where they shouldn’t—began to sow chaos.
It was back when The Wishing One was nowhere to be found, already taken the form of the Silvergale.
Nunabo said: What's more, we found ancient records showing similar vine mutations occurring at the Sacred Battle in the Age of Divinity. (...) More importantly, back then, the Aurosa also didn't bloom, preventing the ceremony from occurring!
Giovanni clearly sets the time period that they were defeated: I learned everything about the Desperate Vines. During the Age of Divinity, the Sacred Knight managed to defeat them, returning them to normal.
When the unnamed Sprite and Chigda joined the Paladins, the Sprite was excited to meet Heurta and mentioned the Desperate Vines: Whether it’s the Desperate Vines or The Dark, I’m ready to charge forward with all the courage I can muster!
However! He calls Kuroda a Stylist - and Whimancy was established during the War against the Dark, thanks to the Eight: After all, my captain is none other than the legendary Kuroda, the Faewish Sprite stylist I’ve admired since the day I first woke!
Kuroda wrote a letter to Heurta after defeating the Vines, mentioning his plan to run for the position of a Wish Master.
The Desperate Vines have been dealt with. You have now fully completed The Wishing One’s task. I suppose it’s time for us to say our goodbyes, for I know you have many important matters to attend to. (...) I believe it’s time for you to venture out and ensure that more delicious wishes fill the world while I remain here, running for the position of Wish Master to safeguard those wishes. It’s the only way I can honor your wish back then.
So the timeline is not timelining. Between the end of the Age of Divinity - when Heurta supposedly defeated the Desperate Vines - and acquiring Whim by the Eight is supposed to be Veilfall - a time of natural disasters that struck Miraland.
It was supposed to be the time when Chigda came back with Delicious Orbs and accused Kuroda of treason: When the natural disaster struck, he was still a Paladin... Everyone was starving, so Kuroda went out to search for Wishing Orbs with the Paladins, but only Chigda came back.
So Kuroda was already a "legendary Stylist", but also the Vines have not been defeated yet? So immediately after defeating the Vines Kuroda runs for the position of the Wish Master, but he did not become one yet when the Veilfall happened?
And most importantly, where does it put the Aurosa blooming in this situation?
"That's quite true. They are miracles. And that's the answer, isn't it?"
