Dsdfghj I just realised I don't think I've seen anyone mention that at the Yotsuba house party, Higuchi was present and Higuchi was Kira at the time so that means Rem should have been there as well. She must have been standing there literally the whole time, watching these assholes get drunk and Misa and her team at work and then witnessing Matsuda yeet himself off the fucking balcony, and Obata didn't draw her in for so much as a reaction shot once.

I feel like both she and we got short-changed.

I think its hilarious that everyone who knowingly helps Light as Kira has some deep trauma that makes them especially vulnerable to like Kira (Misa's parents, Kiyomi's being seemingly very socially isolated and lonely seeing as Light is supposedly the only person she's ever looked up to, and Mikami with his bullying and dead mom) EXCEPT Higuchi, who's just in it to get his money up. No trauma, no angst, not even Light's juvenile moral code, pure cash incentive. He truly was the most dangerous Kira (imo) and was only held back by the pack that he was basically a pawn of a pawn.

the yotsuba group are funny because you hear “the villains for this arc are eight businessmen who are far less extraordinary than L and light” and you’d expect them to be eight, you know, normal businessmen. but no. they’re a wannabe punk, an effeminate guy with long hair and a heart ring, morpheus from the matrix, a surfer with long (possibly dyed?) hair, and a wannabe emo (possibly dyed hair x2) who was a literature major and is also the illegitimate son of the company president while being in charge of the marketing department? the walking scandal is running the department that handles reputation? ok. oh and there are three other guys who at least look the part but are demonstrably strange in other ways. come work for the yotsuba corporation, we are a normal company with normal executives
