This weekend I had two cake/cupcake orders. I thought it was a tad funny because they were both for 6-inch cakes with some cupcakes. The first was an owl theme for a girl’s first birthday. The mom was going for a scrapbook look, so I copied the little triangle banner idea from the invitations she used. I think the little details (like pearls as flower centers) helped with this cake to get the theme correct! There were 12 owl cupcakes and 12 pink and white with pearl cupcakes to top off the mini cake.

The next order was for a 70th birthday for a mother-in-law who loves animal print. She wanted to get something with neutrals and leopard. The black bow adds some pizazz to the leopard and the 6 cupcakes complement the mini cake.

Both were a huge hit!

Leopard Wedding Cake for Brooke & Matt

More pictures to follow, but here's a little peak of what could arguably be called the most awesome wedding cake ever! We hand-painted this leopard pattern on this lovely 3-tier cake, and added a special antique brooch for a little bit of sparkle, too. When I get married (again!), I'll definitely have this at my wedding, too! (My very patient husband probably just rolled his eyes, but he knows I'll keep him forever. xo)
