Another of Mossdeep's former specialties, the Dive Ball is another aquatic Ball for underwater Pokémon! In Generation 3, it was introduced for the new underwater encounters, for which it had a very strong 3.5x catch modifier. Since those have been phased out, it has been changed- first to any encounters while surfing, diving, or fishing, and then with the advent of Pokémon in the field, to any battle where a Pokémon is in or on top of the water. While a little more situational than the broader Net Ball, it's sleek watery design makes it stand out! Does it stand out enough though?
The Level Ball is one of the last of Kurt's specialty Balls we have to vote on- and it's a shame it's so uncommon because this could be a valuable tool for Pokédex completionists! This Ball works better the higher levelled your Pokémon is compared to the one your trying to catch is- with absurd efficiency. If your Pokémon is at least four times the level of the target, it has the highest multiplier of any Ball- 8x! This is tied with the Love Ball, albeit with a much less strict requirement. If the target is between two and four times the level of the target, it still has a 4x multiplier- and for any target of a lower level at all, it still matches the Ultra Ball with 2x! Unfortunately, it remains elusive for most trainers, being only available in select few locations and ways. But that only serves to make it more memorable!

Pokemon Card of the Day #2135: Level Ball (Ancient Origins)
Level Ball was a returning Item card. It was originally released in the Next Destinies set, but rotated out for a while before returning in Ancient Origins. And no, this one didn’t get banned from Expanded like the last two cards, so don’t worry about that.
Level Ball let you search your deck for a Pokemon with 90 HP or less and put it into your hand. You’d think that it wouldn’t be that great in the era of so many Pokemon with huge HP, but it had quite a few spots despite that. Night March, for the time that it was still legal, loved having Level Ball around for its low-HP Pokemon. Vespiquen could also make good use of it. Decks that needed to get Pokemon out to evolve were good candidates. Greninja decks could get Froakie and Frogadier (as well as potential Octillery or Starmie techs), but the star of that group was the Grass decks. Easy access to Rowlet, Dartrix, Oddish, and Gloom was great for those relying on Forest of Giant Plants to evolve. There were plenty of good decks where Level Ball was useful, and you’d want copies of it wherever you relied on Pokemon with somewhat low HP in some capacity.
