Hello!!! I follow you and I know you’re a fan of d&d podcasts, so I have a question for you and the rest of your followers. I’m allowed to listen to podcasts at work but only out loud, so if they’re explicit (sex, swearing, lots of gore, etc) I cant have it. Any recommendations? It doesn’t even have to be strictly d&d.
hmmm i can’t think of many strictly dnd ones that don’t swear or have a lot of nsfw jokes, haha. the only one i can possibly suggest is Join the Party: i listened to the first few episodes in my recollection, it wasn’t as raunchy or swear-y as some of the others. don’t hold me to that though. you might wanna listen to an episode or two before deciding.
some other podcasts that spring to mind:
Friends at the Table - this is still actual-play but not dnd. they play a ton of different roleplaying games. it’s a show that’s heavily focused on worldbuilding so it has a much different vibe than, say, TAZ or NADDPOD. it’s slower paced, for starters, but imo there’s not at much swearing or explicit stuff from the storylines i’ve listened to. i don’t know if i’d call it completely SFW but for actual-play podcasts, imo it’s your best bet!
Oh No, Ross and Carrie! - this is the first thing that came to mind. Ross and Carrie investigate various paranormal and religious claims. some of the episodes (like uhhh the one where they drink urine) probably aren’t SFW, but most (in my estimation) are. usually the topic of the episodes will let you know if it’s workplace appropriate.
in mcelroy land, both Wonderful and Still Buffering are pretty wholesome and likely SFW, though i haven’t listened to them in a long time so you might wanna test-listen to a few eps before playing at work.
if any of my followers have SFW podcast suggestions, please comment! (don’t message me if you can at all help it though)
