I love spop (she-ra and the princesses of power) so much because it IS a cartoon with all the bright colours and magic of a kids cartoon, but from the VERY FIRST EPISODE it deals with topics like war, propaganda, and taught bias, and progresses into teaching about love and hope and not giving up. Its sort of a comfot show for me (despite some of the sad episodes in later seasons)

Losers Duet

I re-read this duet at least twice a year. I absolutely love them. The way each of the boys has their own trauma and Jess basically helps each of them work through it. ... a lot of theirs are similar to my own, which made it hit the feels that much harder. That ANDDDDD the spice is this book is top teir. It's definitely not for everyone, but good lord it's good.

Harley Laroux is one of my favorite authors, I've read all their work, but Losers is one that just means the most to me. So much so, I tattooed the "keep chasing the next sunrise".

Squad is a young-adult coming-of-age graphic novel with a bit of a supernatural twist. Becca is the new girl in school. She's always struggled to fit in, but finds a spot with the popular girls after one of their group takes interest in her. The popular girls at school have a secret, though; they're actually a pack of werewolves who hunt down and kill misbehaving boys.

The conflict mirrors usual high-school drama, but they're werewolves. They disagree about who they're allowed to kill and eat. They fight over who should be the leader of the pack. Becca questions if she should even be part of the pack. And, what's going to happen when they graduate and head off to different colleges?

My only complaint is that this book moves really fast. It's a graphic novel, so it's expected to be shorter than most novels, but I felt that there was so much missing from the story. Most of the characters were left without a proper ending. I would love a sequel that expands on the characters and their setting.
