Jaime Lannister, former captive of Robb Stark, was lost.

All in all, the North was almost pleasant in the summer, even if he couldn’t take much time to truly appreciate it. No, he had been on the run for almost a week after killing his guards and it was finally catching up to him. But he had to keep going. He was a Kingsguard and a Lannister, and he would not be captured by that boy again.

Dirty, tired, and hungry, the knight spotted what could be a garden- or a godswood, but he doubted it was that. After a brief internal debate, he decides to risk the possibility of getting caught. A garden meant the chance of an orchard, and the chance of food other than what the forests seemed worth it. At the worst, he would be held while a raven was sent and could use the time to escape again. At the best, his father’s men occupied the place.

Once inside the boundaries of the garden, Jaime kneels by a tree to catch his breath.

He stands upon crimson snow, the white tainted with blood of the dozen infected that now lay littered around him.

He and Tommy had been on patrol when they'd found the hoarde gathering outside a small shack. Tommy had decided it was just some animal taking shelter, and yet it had not been the whimpering of an animal that they had heard as the last runner fell, but that of a woman.

They'd made it inside eventually- she'd barricaded the door well enough-, only to be faced with the barrell of a rifle.

"Easy, easy now..." Joel says, holding his hands up. "We ain't gonna hurt you."

Every morning, he waited by the school gates for her to walk to class. And every day, he walked her home. It was like that for five years before they reached the year they were to graduate.

Jaime and Beth had been best friends for as long as they could remember, but never more than that. People often teased and joked, but they were happy. Why did they need to risk their friendship in that way?

"Hey," he smiled. It was the first day of their final week and as always, he was waiting for her by the gates. "How are you?"

Protector II Brienne & Elizabeth

She swayed in the saddle, body tired from the long journey she had just made. A sail from Tarth to Storm's End, then on horseback to Casterly Rock. She'd been traversing Westeros for close to two months.

Brienne was weary.

However, her destination was in sight.

She'd never looked upon the place herself, but Ser Jaime had regaled many a tale of his childhood home whilst she had escorted him from Harrenhal to King's Landing. The keep was truly magnificent, he had told it true. But it was not somewhere she had wanted to be. Not in this capacity, at least.

She was here to serve as protector for Elizabeth Carroll, the new lady Ser Jaime had wed. He had finally agreed in exchange for Tyrion's life and Brienne's father, the Evenstar, had been insistent that Brienne take up residence with the young girl. She had argued but to no avail.

Lannister guards waited her at the gates. After explaining who she was and showing the sword Ser Jaime had gifted her, to prove her identity, she was granted entry.

Lady Elizabeth was already awaiting her in the large hall.

"My lady," Brienne dropped to one knee. "My name is Brienne Tarth. I am here to swear my sword and my life to you."

Had a bat flying around at work once. It was like that episode of the office. I thought I was not scared by them before that. I was wrong.

That’s me right now...I was always all "awww look at that lil bat!" whenever I saw them online and thought they were adorable. Then I had a little thing fly in my room and damn near screamed...that was fun. I gave the dog back to mom for the night though since I don't trust dog not to try to play with or hunt the bat. Of course, I'm also very confused as to how the fuck this flying mouse got in my house....
