DELTARUNE LIGHT WORLD AU

Heavily inspired by the light world lancer AU by @minart-was-taken

and since they got a bunch of deltarune questions at once tehy stopped responding to that

and essentially I asked if I could make a post about what Ithink could happen about the AU with some characters (mainly jackenstein-)

and they said something that was along the lines of “make your own. I don’t own the idea of a light world AU” (which after about 10 minutes of thinking about it )

i came with an original idea for a light world AU

THE LIGHT FOUNTAIN AU (or “light world jevil” (JOKE NOT THE REAL TITLE))

(The name is inspired by that old pre-chapter 2 Paper Trail deltarune comic where ralsei believed their were Light Fountains to balance with Dark Fountains ) )

basically

A light fountain is what happens if a darkner (or darkners) manages to focus every soul type into a blade (justice, kindness, integrity, bravery, the other 2 & determination)

(Each type can be put into the blade by different darkners )

and so

jevil (whose in castle town ) overhears seam talking to ralsei about the light fountain (which was a myth amongst darkners ) and exudes “why not, not” and tries it out

In the middle of castle town

and while nobody else really knows what’s going on they know anything a deranged jester with a scythe is doing probably isn’t good

and they unintentionally help jevil create a fountain

a sense of determination to cause chaos

a sense of justice to stop jevil from doing something that could be really bad for the balance of light & dark

a sense of kindness to assist the others in their mission

a sense of bravery to help despite the fear within

a sense of integrity to keep fighting despite the hardships that one jester can throw

a sense of perseverance for when things are going though

and a sense of patience for when things go on and on

…this all happened in like 5 minutes

Either way some (Tenna, Jackenstein, seam, ralsei, Lancer, Elnina & lanino, roulxs ) grabbed jevil’s devilsKnife briefly filling it with each soul type (no this doenst have any major impact beyond unintentionally assisting Jevil with creating a Light Fountain )

and the Founatin forms.

and launches everyone into the light world (and while it’d probably make more sense to have them all pour out of the closet. I imagine they all just start falling out of the sky )

and after struggling to adjust

some go back to castle town (mainly the basic recruits, hathys pippins, rudinns, tasques, shadowguys, werewires, cuptains, organniks etc etc ) while others begin to explore the world they’ve seen so much and yet so little of

Some of this is inspired by light world lancer (as I said it’s a huge inspiration for this and while I’ll try to be as original as possible without screwing over canon or copying Light World lancer too much some bits might be a bit similar )

what most of the darkners are up to now

-Queen finds noelle again (noelle definitely faints-)

-C. Round steals the bowl of milk alphys leaves in the alley

-Tasque Manager also drank from the bowl before C. Round took it

but is working on rounding up the Tasque’s who ran off across town

-Tenna met Mettaton and got along pretty well (not exactly a SHIP but it’s more then a regular friendship )

-spamton was also there when the light fountain was made. Yeah he’s back to living in a dumpster (specifically swatch’s dumpster )

-speaking of Swatch he got a job at QC’s (or whatever the diner was called)

-Ramb & Mini Kris (or Sword_- (I forgot the actual full name so I’ll just use Mini Kris or Sword_ ) ) they also were there

local cryptid those two, a mini pixel version of the local human dragging around a (no longer stone) British dog plug man thing

-The Mikes are simply following Tenna Around (essentially pulling double shifts since the light world doesn’t have as the same ‘TV magic’ TV World did )

-The Watercooler is… somewhere… probably the church

-Jackenstein wandered towards the church and started helping Alvin out (he’s still ginormous so it’s a bit odd but he’s welcome )

-Lancer just hangs out with Susie more often

-King… kinda immediately got thrown in jail for attempted assault … (to be fair getting angry about being mocked for having a second stomach mouth with a grapple tongue kicked is kinda hard to avoid especially when getting mocked by a child/teen)

-Elnina & Lanino decided to (try to) open a TV Station…

They somehow managed to do it… but are a bit understaffed

-The Original Starwalker he decided to take a break in the polycule but is supportive (as supportive as a star with legs who gets pissed at most things can be )

-Roulxs was simply making sure lancer’s ok with Queen following noelle around & King in jail(again) and then- Starwalker invited him into the polycule… Elnina & Lanino are a bit surprised by that but it ends up working out

-Sweet Cap’n Cakes …they simply kept doing what they were, making music (they got a grudge with carol on day one. considering her a “worse queen but with slightly less power” )

-WereWereWire, Got hired at sans’s Store. Restocks shelves

-Maus Wheel all the Maus have infested town they particularly like the librarby & the school

-Top Chef, also got hired at QC’s

and lastly (for now) Jevil

oddly enough being outside his little freedom… he’s still teleporting around town causing chaos, although …far less then usual

the light has an oddly calming affect on him, he’s still insane and dangerous but he isn’t gonna level hometown anytime soon.

Comfort

Ralsie spun around in his flamboyant green wedding gown. Trying to maintain his cool as the bird touched up on his blush and eyeshadow, and the doe snipping off the end of the pearly white fire emblem at the hem of his skirt.

“Woah,” Noelle’s mouth fell agape at seeing the bird work the rest of his magic. “I thought you were kidding!” She chuckled upon recalling that moment theday prior to the wedding. “Your blending, highlights, and shading are absolutely phenomenal!”

“My dear Noelle, of course Im good at it!” He remarked, casting a brisk questioning glance at his friend. All while multitasking with his customers face. “….Where exactly do you think get my EXCELLENT skills come from?” He asked intriguingly.

“Oh- um…!” She stuttered, trying her best to find her next words.

“GUYS! EVERYONE IS COMING IN LIKE CRAZY! HURRY UP!!” Susie shouted through the door, thankfully saving the doe from answering Berdly’s question.

Turning the groom to face the mirror, the goats eyes widened in complete awestruck silence, seeing his new self in the mirror no longer felt like who he was before Kris’s confession. “I… I… don’t know what to say…” Ralsies eyes went misty, but he blinked them away before he could ruin his look.

“You’re quite welcome! Now scurry on quickly now dear friend of mine, your presence is needed!” The bird rushed him out the door before he could think to stall further, the doors to the church opened wide and claps and cheers welcomed him.

Everything was happening so fast, Ralsie couldn’t quite believe it was real, in the light world without issue; a little spade prince messily tossing daisy petals on the church carpet. When Lancers attention finally went to him, he stood on his best composure - his tall five-five teenage plump frame quite impressive, the whole town seemed to gossip like crazy when it came to the spades playful and outgoing attitude.

“Your highness, shall we take this lovely stroll to your spouse?” He said quite formally, offering a hand that the goat took with a kind and nostalgic smile. “Quite the charmer, aren’t you little spade?” Ralsie played along as the choir sang, and a little ballad played in the organ, getting quieter the closer the goat neared.

They stopped, and Lancer rushed back to his chair with Roxuls before the goat could thank him. Without saying a a word, they still somehow spoke volumes to their soon-to be husband, Ralsie put a reassuring hand on their shoulder - a firm bit gentle comfort that spoke louder than words.

It was as if they knew, everything would be alright. Without saying everything that’s happened so far, they eased into the dark prince touch - getting up and intertwined their hands in Ralsies. And they embraced quickly, the prince adjusted his partners bangs, admiring their ruby red eyes with a soft smile the human returned with a sigh of relief. “First of all, thank you all for coming to this very special day…” Father Alvin started as he read his script.

“An occasion full light and hope, an event filled with love and joy! Together, we celebrate the first human and monster marriage between Prince Ralsie and Kris Dreemur!”

The audience cheered, some grew teary eyed as they watched this magnificent scene unfold before them intently. While others, or more like one. Carol Holiday did a sarcastic slow clap, rolling her eyes - an action that earned a bonk on the head with officer Undyne’s baton. “You’re lucky your daughter went easy on your criminally record.” She chided. “…now sit back!”

Out of boredom and full of disappointment did Carol tsk, and obliged.

Kris felt Carols disapproving glare, a chill ran down their spine. Despite knowing she had no power over them anymore, it still made their stomach churn with regret. “Marriage is a symbol of love, commitment, and unity between two people who have decided to journey through life together.” Ralsie said along with Alvin, putting his forehead against the humans. “(So don’t worry, I’ll be here for when times grow cold and dark.)” He whispered kindly.

“(Just like you and Susie did for me.)”

They nodded, trying to calm their racing heart so they can listen to the final vows. “Let us bow our head in prayer.”

Together, they guided each-other through prayer - making a couple corrections along the way.

“Amen.” Everyone finished in unison.

“Now, you two… please exchange your vows.” Urged Father Alvin.

“I… Kris Dreemur, promise to take my prince paws, and…” They got down on one knee, lifting their head up to stare into their princes beautiful pink eyes. “Honor him, protect him every step of the way whether in joy, sorrow, poverty, health or sickness. And though we may have our disagreements… I’ll be here by your side.”

“And I’m ALWAYS willing to listen when I can.”

“I… Prince Ralsie, vow to work with you every step of the way, making sure to love myself just as you love me.” He said warmly, caressing Kris’s cheek. “Being the kindest person I can be, with a promise to never leave your side… whether in joy, sorrow, poverty, health or sickness.”

“And always care for you when you call my name.”

Susie cautiously scurried over to the duo with two golden rings that Ralsie and Kris gladly took, putting the ring on their middle fingers.

“The rings, are a symbol of unending love. And the promises you make to eachother. So Kris Dreemur, are you willing to take this lovely prince as your husband?”

They nodded affirmatively.

“And Prince Ralsie, do you take this human as your spouse?”

“Of course.” He replied.

“Then.. by the authority of the angel, I now pronounce you Spouse and Husband! May the angel protect your marriage and lives, you may now kiss the groom!” Ralsie took Kris by surprise by pulling them in by the waist first, pressing his lips on theirs, warmth rushed through their venins as they returned the kiss.

Everyone in the church erupted into applause and cheers.

Coolest kid on the playground!! Watch out!!

Lancer's review of the light world so far:

- School sukz but girldad says he gotta go -100 points

- The playground is awesome sauce. #NeverStopDigging +40 points

- Nobody has punted him like a footedball -20 points

- Got candy for promising to not cuss anymore +3 points

- The big thing in the sky hurts his eyes +45 points

Additional point: I dont think this is canon for the "main au" but I love Lancer like anybody else who's been made aware of him like some kind of memetic disease-- So he can have his own au of the au. Au² where everyone can go to the light world!!!!!!!

how is tenna doing in your light world au??

Tenna visits his fans and employees at Castle town, but lives in Hometown! It's been an adjustment but ultimately great for him and his dear viewer. Tenna's next goal is to get a TV-station built in hometown so he can broadcast to the lightner world, but so far his attempts have gotten him banned from town hall. Toriel finds Carol's decision an abuse of power and recently started a petition to make her reconsider. It has 5 names so far. Very exciting! AU Explanation
