I love BruHal being the "the Moon" and "the Sun" relationship here
But I don't think the term 'Moon' and 'Sun' is explored enough, lowkey
It's not just 'grumpy and smart' x 'sunshine and airhead' kind of thing, it's a little too simple, and WAY OFF from their personalities, sometimes. And actually, I think both Bruce and Hal can be either figure, depending on the perspective from which you view them.
I prefer those terms to be like this, which is heavily inspired by Ancient Asian literature and culture, btw haha:
The Moon: A comfortable companion only to those lost under the vast nightsky. Beautiful, but cold, and fleeting. The kind of unreachable beauty that is more dangerous to man than soothing. Many will try to reach for the moon's reflection in the water and die trying to hug it. Unreachable ideals, hollow promises, and deceitful beauty. Yet, many still seek the moon, anyway, betting away their life for someone to be forgiving and understanding to them during their weakest moments. The moonlight is dim, of course it is, but any light, no matter how fleeting and small, is still hope.
The Sun: A religion. The source of Life. The one above All. Needed by All. Omnivolent. Omniscient. Omniscient. Warm and forgiving. Yet, haunting. No one can escape the sun. It will rise first in the morning, always. Warm to the point of burning. The sun can blind you, burn you, punish you, but you would still need it. The moment the sun sets and you're embraced by the darkness, you yearn for the heat of the sun again. But the sun does not belong to you, does it? It belongs to everyone, every living being, every blade of grass, and every insect out there just as much as it belongs to you. You can never have the sun all for yourself. No one can. Even in your selfish thoughts. The Sun is your religion, not your companion.
Something something like that.
You guys get it, right?
Bruce and Hal can be either haha
