Some lore about Liliss, of one the Ancestors, from my Winx "AU".
But first: in my AU the title "Ancestors" is a status, a legacy. It is given to the most remarkable witches from the Morningstar's family line, so powerful that they remind you of the very first witches in the world, mothers of all witches: "The Ancestors". The og Ancestors were three sisters from planet Earth who were blessed by The Great Phoenix, mother creator of Whisperia. They recevied their powers, ice, darkness and storms, thus the first witches were born three thousands of years ago. (It's a long story for another day).
Liliss, Belladonna, Tharma, Griffin and the Trix are all descendants of these three first witches.
Being referred to as "Ancestors" is a remarkable honor amongst The Witch Society and Belladonna, Liliss and Tharma are one of the few sisters to have achieved the title in centuries.
That’s why they are known as the "Ancestors" all around the Magic Dimension, but they're not the very first witches. Just direct descendants
- Liliss was born in Whisperia, the planet of witches, she is the youngest sister and the leader of the trio. She didn’t want to be the leader, but her parents decided for her, passing her down the title of Covenhead as she had always been a prodigy, the true gifted child in magic. Very powerful, darkness is second nature to her with perfect control of her craft. She's maybe the most powerful witch of the trio and Belladonna is pissed.
- Sultry, classy and deadly beautiful. A perfect hourglass body, golden irises, red plump lips and a cascade of black locks. She's gorgeous and she knows it. She uses her charme and wits to get what she wants, the perfect femme fatale ready to put you under her spell. You'll do her bidding, making her every wish come true. Liliss doesn't need violence, threats nor to raise her voice, it's an hypnotic sweet lullaby and in a bat of an eye you are in her web. For life.
- She has a close bond with Tharma, her "sweet" middle sister. She is on thin ice with Belladonna and can't stand each others. The only reason the two stick together is power. That’s it. They're polar opposites.
- She has a former husband, the warlock Amos, and a daughter, Griffin. She never loved Amos and he never loved her, but they were friends and their wedding was only for benefits and circumstances. They divorced quickly just right after Griffin was born and the child was put under her dad's care. Thank the Dragon, Amos was an exceptional father but Liliss eventually played an important role as a magic teacher and mentor. Liliss respects and is proud of her daughter Griffin, she sees her as a remarkable witch with tons of potential, she puts a lot of trust in her and holds her in high regards. You could say she almost cares about her.
- She wasn’t 100% on board with the "creation" of Valtor, that was Belladonna's idea, but she eventually ended up playing the biggest role. She defines it as the worst thing she has ever done (remorse?) and she still gets sick to her stomach to these days. For the first years of Valtor's existence she couldn't even look at him without feeling profound disgust. A thing like that should've never been concieved.
- But the end justifies the means, and "Valtor's creation" was a crazy feat who cemented her and her sisters as one of the most powerful witches to ever exist and gained them praise from the entire witch society, people thought they had created life, a human being, out a simple fragment. That wasn’t the entire truth, only the Great Dragon can create life, what they really did was way more twisted. And now they had a piece of the Dragon Flame by their side. Forever.
- She didn’t play a role in Valtor's upbringing until he was a late teenager. Till then she mostly ignored him and minded her business.
- Apart from being a Covenhead, in her everyday life she's a socialite and art collector. She's an art nerd, her home (and her sisters) is full of prestigious art pieces and she's always buying more and discovering new artists. The house's corridors look like full blown art galleries and she loves having art exhibitions. Art is the only thing that makes her really happy. Being a covenhead and a powerful witch wasn’t her childhood dream
- Everybody respects Liliss in Whisperia. She's powerful and a covenhead, every young witch sees her as a role model. A lot of expectations and pressure were placed on Liliss since she was little, being a prodigy kid has its faults and the Lady of Darkness might be a bit of a people pleaser. That was her "downfall" in the past when she was a naive young witch, but adult Liliss knows that people can turn their back on you real fast if you stop feeding them what they want. And now she know how to use it at her advantage.
- She's a romantic at heart. Her greatest weakness? Love and certain former king of Domino... Argante, Marion's father.
- She was imprisoned in Obsidian after Domino's downfall. She will get her revenge. First things she has to contact her dear descendant Darcy✨️
