Hi! Question for King's Game Au, if you don't mind.

It's your choice if he will or not, but does Wukong place a circlet on Macaque?

Because I easily can see Wukong doing that as a means to keep Macaque from leaving him again.

He does actually get a circlet, after Wukong becomes the Jade Emperor just really nail the message home that he wasn't getting away from Wukong ever again.

I think it was stated on the original post of Jade Emperor Wukong, it isn't now, must've forgotten ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯, but it's pain crowns for the whole family!

First Macaque & the eclipse twins because they were there when he made his power grab, and then after their universe stabilizing business in the pillar is done, MK and Chao-Xing, who basically come out of the pillar like:

They were gone for five minutes and this shit happened.

Wukong is a twisted guy, so he coerces them to put the circlet of themselves, by threatening to kill their non monkey loved ones, and then uses the crowns to knock them out for ease of travel.

He also forced Macaque to put the crowns on baby Rumble and Savage, I say baby but they are like 10-11 at that point.

He didn't activate it on the lil babies, none of this is their fault, they weren't even born yet, but he did activate Macaque's for a minute, both to punish him and to be an example for Rumble and Savage to not go against him.

So yeah circlet very much happens and the whole family is stuck with them for.... a while.

I have a headcanon that is mildly confirmed by the scene where Wukong is saved by Macaque from the Thousand Eyed Demons control.

In that scene if you slow it down, right as Wukong gets up you can see by the tears in his eyes that he still feels sad about the memory.

I have a headcanon that Wukong was Big Sad TM about killing Macaque. In my specific flavor of this headcanon, their battle takes place at the tail end of the journey, Wukong kills Macaque, realizes what he’s done and curls up next to his corpse until the Pilgrims find him in a crater made by their fight curled up to Macaques corpse, in shock with tears falling.

They probably don’t find them for a while considering how well matched him and Macaque were in his debut episode(I don’t think Wukong would use the level of force he used while possessed, especially not unless it was life or death and even especially against someone he considered a friend/lover-coded ally.)

Going even deeper I think his circlet was active during their fight, I don’t quite know enough about Tripitaka in the LMK universe to make an official judgement on his character in this and I haven’t read JTTW yet but it’s most likely Tripitaka trying to stop Wukong from fighting(which inadvertently(AND ACCIDENTALLY IN THIS CASE) contributes to Wukong killing Macaque as he was able to focus completely on restraint.)

does anyone have an idea for the MK wears The circlet fanfic? rn, the main problem (and only problem) is that we're still trying to figure out how/why MK has the circlet
