Summary: Bucky would have some piece of mind if he could teach Y/n how to use more than a hand gun. . . But does he remember she grew up in a world surround by guns?
Authors Note: So this chapter is on the shortish side for this series, but its basically showing Bucky she's not helpless, also giving your readers an idea that she can take care of herself. That Y/n is badass. It also a filler for in-between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving chapter is done I just have to type it. I'm sorry this chapter and the next (Thanksgiving) were not posted in November life just got super busy and I haven't had time so now I'm in a crunch because I am writing also the Christmas chapter, plus a New Years. Plus I have like I think 5 Stranger Things Christmas ones that are all dialog and I just need to finish them and then type them.
“Breakfast in bed?” Y/n raised a brow watching Bucky enter the bedroom with a tray full of food. Y/n rubbed her eyes to help herself wake up, pushing herself to sit up. It had been a rough early morning that had involved Moxley waking them up, which saved their lives. Then having to pack a bag and make the trip to Bucky's mansion around 3:00 AM. So obviously they slept in.
“Of course. “ Bucky smiled, it was a sight to see her in his bed. He sat the tray over her legs. Bucky had gone full out eggs, toast, bacon, waffles and orange juice. Y/n was impressed, looking over all the food as Bucky picked up a piece of bacon and turned to Moxley who was on the bed. He had followed Bucky earlier to see what he was doing, but after he realized Bucky was going to be in the kitchen for a while, Mox went back upstairs and laid on the bed against Y/n's legs. “Sit. Good boy.”
“He's learning fast.” Y/n commented feeling like a proud mom.
“He is, so I was wanting to talk to you about something.” Bucky agreed before taking a seat on the bed beside her legs.
“Is it about how you didn't just buy doubles of everything for Mox, but you bought even more?” Y/n teased him, knowing that it wasn't it but it would lighten the mood considering his serious expression.
Bucky laughed bashfully. “No.”
Y/n Bit off a piece of toast before having him continue. “What’d you wanna talk about?”
Bucky was nervous to ask her this because he didn't want her to take it the wrong way. “I would like to teach you to use more than just a handgun. “
“Bucky-” Y/n was taken back and trying not to laugh. Did he forget that her family runs guns? Does he really think she only knows how to use a handgun?
“For your safety. Being in my world - I’d feel better if you knew how to use more weapons than just a handgun. Please.” He cut her off, pleading with his eyes for her to give in.
Y/n couldn’t say no to the face he was giving her and what could it hurt to placate him and let him ‘teach’ her how to use other weapons. So with a sigh. “Okay. When?”
“Today.” Bucky didn’t want to wait and leave anything to chance.
“Sounds good.” Y/n leaned forward and kissed him before getting back to eating. This was going to be interesting, she thought.

That late afternoon Y/n, Bucky, Steve, Sam, Natasha, and CLint were all out on Bucky's back lawn. Weapons of all sorts were spread out around on tables. And Y/n recognized most of them.
“He does remember she’s a grade A shot right?” Sam leaned in towards Steve, he was confused on why Bucky wanted to do this. The girl could obviously handle herself.
“He’s just taking precautions.” Steve understood with their world wanting Y/n to have a better chance at surviving if something ever happened.
“$100 bucks says she ace’s all of these and beat’s his ass.” Sam was fully confident in this girl.
“Sam-”
“Oh come on Steve.” Sam whined.
“$100 ?” Steve tilted his head glancing at his close friend.
“Hmmmhmmm.” Sam hummed hoping he’d take it.
“You're on.” Steve shook hands, there was no way she could possibly be good at all of these.
Meanwhile Bucky had just finished explaining each weapon and how they work and what they're best for. “Okay, you think you're ready?”
“I’m ready.” Y/n nodded, sucking her lip into her mouth. Y/n was honestly surprised that all the weapons laid out she knew how to use. She had used them before, at least once.
Bucky nodded ready to help her at any point she might need him. “Okay, so I showed you how to use all these guns. So let's have you shoot one after another all in one go.”
Y/n loved the idea of basically rapid fire, one gun after another no breaks. She personally thought it was better for the situation, since she already knew all of these and didn’t need help. “Got it.”
So with that Bucky stepped back and Y/n picked up the first one and with that it started. One after another she shot the weapons and all either hit the target's center or just outside of it. Once the last one was shot it was dead silent.
Well till Sam spoke up amused and clearly enjoying the moment. “Told you. Pay up Rogers.”
As Steve pulled out his wallet Bucky wanted to test something so he pulled out a set of his infamous knives. He handed them to Y/n and she just smiled and threw them and they hit the same as the bullets had.
“Knives to?” Steve looked up astonished, while Sam laughed, continuing to be amused by the whole situation, Nat and Clint the same, and Bucky. Bucky was impressed and 100% sure he was falling in love all over again.
“I love this girl.” Nat smiled, now Bucky had a woman. One that could survive and thrive in their world. Exactly what he needed.
“I’m gonna get my bo out and some arrows.” Clint spoke up, making Steve, Sam, and Nat look at him. Clint shrugged. “What I’m curious. She’s hit the bullseye with everything else.”
While Clint went to get his bo and arrows out of his car Y/n turned to Bucky having noted his silence. “What?”
“You already knew how to use all these, didn't you?” Bucky's face wasn’t really readable, all Y/n knew was he didn’t look mad. Which was good, she didn’t want him to feel like she played him.
Y/n bit her lip and set down the last knife, turning back to Bucky reaching for his flesh hand. “Growing up in my world, you had to know what to do to defend yourself if business went south. At least with a weapon. My dad and brother wanted me to be able to defend myself.”
That he could understand, but . . . “But all of these?”
Y/n laughed at the expression on his face. “They run guns, remember."
She’s shot guns that normal people could never get their hands on.
Bucky raised a brow. “The knives?”
“Hobby.” Y/n shrugged.
“Try this.” Clint said, walking up to the happy couple. He handed Y/n the bo first.
“Nice.” Y/n couldn’t help, but admire Clint’s weapon.
“Thanks.” Clint responded with a smile. He stepped back to let her shoot leaving the arrows on the table near her.
Bucky took a step to the side to give her room as she notched an arrow and shot. And to no one’s surprise she hit the dead center of the target.
“Impressive.” Clint couldn’t help the large smile on his face. That was not an easy shot or a light weighted bo. That was a practiced shot.
“Thank you.” Y/n smiled, handing him back to his bo.
Bucky licked his lips fighting the smile that wanted to show. “They teach you that as well?”
“No, this was a hobby to.” Y.n ducked her head trying to hide her blushing cheeks after taking a glance at Bucky and seeing the twinkle in his eyes.
“So you didn’t need to be taught any of this?” Bucky took the few steps to be right next to her again.
“No, but you were really concerned and pleading so I gave in.” Y/n looked up at him through her lashes. She didn’t want him to worry and she figured if she just went with it it'd ease his nerves. And if he had a weapon she hadn’t used before she’d welcome his teachings.
“Well I feel better now.” Bucky let out a relieved breath. He would have had no problems teaching her to use them but her already knowing how and being such a good shot, it truly eased his mind.
“Good.” Y/n leaned up and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Hey Nat, would you like to come to girls night tomorrow?” Y/n turned to the redhead in question. Bucky blinked in surprise but it wasn’t in a bad way.
“Who else will be there?” Nat asked in slight shock and surprise. It was thoughtful of her to ask.
“Just my friend Wanda.” Y/n assured her, it would just be the 3 of them if she said yes.
Natasha thought about it for a moment and nodded with a smile on her face. “Sure. I’d love to.”
“Great!”
“That was nice of you.” Bucky whispered to her with warmth filling his eyes. It was so nice of her to want to involve Natasha in her and Wanda's girls night.
“I enjoy talking to Nat. I think her and Wanda could get along as well. Besides, she could use some female friends.” She shrugged, to Y/n it wasn’t that big of a deal but she saw it was to Natasha and that made Y/n happy.
“I’ll have a security system put in today.” He assured her hoping it’ll make her feel safer.
“Thank you.” She squeezed his hand, Y/n was appreciative that he wanted to make sure she’d feel safer in her apartment. It’s not that she didn’t feel safe but after the break in it’d be a smart idea and it would feel safer.
After packing up the weapons they went back inside to Bucky’s kitchen. Y/n sat on a bar stool while Bucky got them drinks.
“Y/n.” Bucky spoke up now that they were alone. Bucky wanted to ask her something that was on his mind.
“Hmmm.” Y/n hummed watching him walk over to her, setting down her glass of ice tea.
“How do you feel when you're here?” Bucky was anxious to ask this question but he had future plans and needed to know.
“Odd question.” Y/n took a sip from her glass as she thought of an answer to his question. She wanted to be honest with him, wondering where he was going with this. “I feel happy, at home, content, safe. Why do you ask?”
Bucky leaned forward on the counter top of the island, resting on his forearms looking at her with a soft expression. He didn’t want to pressure her. “I know you just moved into your place. But I wanna put it out there that you're always welcome here. And if you ever want to, you could always move in here.”
Now that Y/n wasn’t expecting. Move in? That's something that no ‘serious’ relationship partner had ever asked her. It was a big step and one that she found herself considering. “Is this your way of asking me to move in?”
Bucky nodded ‘yes’ and then ‘no’ and then ‘yes’ again. He didn’t not want her to move in but he also didn’t want to rush her, she just moved into her place. “I don’t want to rush things, or make you leave your place you only recently settled into. But I would love to have you here, some day. And if you feel safer here then even though it’s fast and you're welcome to move in.”
Y/n loved the excitement and joy that was growing on his face that he was obviously trying to not show to much of. She smiled at himlicking her bottom lip. “I’ll think on it.” Y/n saw his eyes dim just a fraction. She reached for his hands immediately. She didn’t want him to take it the wrong way. “I wanna move in eventually. It is fast, you're right. But our whole relationship has been fast. . . So I’ll think on it.”
“Thats all I ask.” The spark returned to his eyes. All he wanted was for her to consider it and know the option is open for when she feels the time is right.
“So I invited Sam and Steve to come join us. Is that okay?” Bucky planned to introduce her officially to two of his closest friends. They were going bowling and it seemed like a good time to have them meet her. Of course they had seen her and knew of her but a face to face meeting has not occurred yet.
“Of course. So I get to meet your friends today?” Y/n asked, smiling at the prospect of meeting his friends that he’s talked about so highly of.
“Two of my closest, yes.” He nodded, enjoying her excitement about meeting Steve and Sam.
When Bucky had picked her up and told her two of his friends were joining Y/n was excited and nervous, which she was syre was how Bucky felt meeting Wanda and Pietro. “Well you met two of my closest friends so only fair.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Bucky rolled his eyes playfully as he parked outside of the bowling alley. Their bowling alley.
He did notice Sam and Steve park not to far away. Of course they had followed, for they always do but Y/n didn’t know that they were always close by just in case and for now he’d keep it that way. They had discussed beforehand that Bucky would take Y/n inside and Sam and Steve would wait a few before entering and joining them.
“Afraid they’ll embarrass you?” Y/n teased nudging his shoulder.
“They’ll try.” Bucky grumbled as he got out of the car and walked around to open her door, before they headed inside.
“Hey fairs fair. When you meet my brother I’m sure he'll embarrass me.” Y/n told him honestly as they got in line to get shoe’s and a lane.
Her statement warmed Bucky more than he could ever express. She had plan’s of him meeting her family. That meant the world to him.
After they got their assigned land and shoes Bucky and Y/n got their bowling balls and sat down to change into their bowling shoes. About 5 minutes later two men approached their lane area.
“So this is the girl that's caught our grumpy Bucky’s attention?” Sam spoke up first, already getting on Bucky’s nerves. Steve smiled at Sam’s teasing of their friend. It was no secret that since Y/n came along Bucky wasn’t as broody to anyone that was close to Bucky.
“This asshole is Sam and the quiet one is Steve.” Bucky introduced them.
“Hi, it’s nice to finally meet both of you.” Y/n smiled, reaching out to shake both of their hands.
“You're telling me! Its been a while. We hear all about you but this guy just keeps putting off introductions.” Sam exclaimed, getting his fill of starting to tease his friend.
“It’s nice to formally meet you Y/n.” Steve smiled, greeting her back.
“Likewise.” Y/n nodded at him.
“So are we doing team’s or single?” Sam clapped his hands together ready to beat them all.
With that they started bowling all the while Steve and Sam got to know Y/n and shared stories of Bucky. And Y/n got to know them.
After her turn she went to sit by Steve while Sam and Bucky argued over bowling balls by the lanes.
“He smiles more since he met you.” Steve spoke up feeling the need to let her know about the impact she’s had on his bestfriends life and mood.
“I’m sure it’s not just me.” Y/n looked at Steve and she was shocked by his words.
“No, it is. I’ve known Buck since we were kids. I’ve never seen him this happy and it’s all been since he met you.” Steve told her further. He had truly never seen Bucky so happy and Steve knew it was this woman. From what he’s seen from before and from today getting to know her for himself, Steve truly could see how she really did care about Bucky. Steve approved of her the more he got to know her.
“Well, he’s made me happy to.” Y/n smiled bashfully and glanced towards Bucky's direction.
“He talks about you a lot. You’ve brought a light to him that I haven’t seen in a very long time. Thank you.” Steve smiled and gave her a nod of appreciation.
“He’s brought a light back to me to.” After everything that had cast a dark cloud over Y/n for so long, Bucky had cleared the storm over her with his light.
“I hope you both last a long time.” Steve didn’t mean for it to sound ominous, he just meant he hoped she’d stick around even after Bucky reveals the darker work they do to her in the future.
“I don’t plan on going nowhere.” Y/n stated strongly, she had no plan of leaving Bucky. And she felt Steve needed to know that.
“Even when things get tough?” All Steve wanted to do was kind of prove himself right that Y/n would stick around when she was let in on the illegal side of business.
“I dont scare easy.” Y/n told Steve, looking him in the eyes. If she was scared easy she would’ve never lasted as long as she did in Charming.
“Yeah. I thought so.” Steve sent her a smile. He knew by the look in her eyes and the conviction in her voice that he was right about her.
“You thought so?” Y/n raised a brow intrigued that he had already thought about this subject and her response to it.
“I think you’ll stick around. I called it, I truly believed that and I was right.” Steve told her honestly, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees.
Y/n studied Steve for a long moment before she felt her lip’s twitch up and a smile formed on her lip’s. She reached forward to grab her glass and took a sip of her drink. “I like you Steve Rogers.”
“Likewise Y/n Winston.” Steve let out a laugh, reaching forward and drinking from his own glass.
“We’re gonna be good friends.” Y/n felt that they’d have no problem getting along.
“Yes we are.” Steve nodded in agreement.
“What are you two talking about?” Bucky asked, walking back over towards where Steve and his girl were sitting and talking.
“Nothing concerning you.” Y/n teased as he walked right over to them.
“Oh really?” Bucky raised his brows in amusement.
“Come here, Y/n/n. Your turn girly.” Sam called her over, motioning with his arms waving her over.
Y/n laughed and stood up heading over to Sam to bowl her turn, but not before kissing Bucky on the cheek as she passed him.
Once she was over by Sam, Bucky took her seat next to Steve. “What’d you talk to her about?”
Steve laughed at Bucky’s protectiveness over Y/n. He found it endearing. “Just told her that she makes you happier than I’ve seen in awhile. Promise.”
“Hmmm Hmm.” Bucky hummed, he didn’t believe that was all they talked about but he also couldn’t deny his friend's statement either.
“You're really good at this.” Sam stated watching as Y/n bowled a strike.
“Well me and Bucky come here often. Muscle memory.” Y/n shrugged waiting for her ball to come back up.
“He’s falling in love with you. He may not have said it yet but I can tell.” Sam told her in a quieter voice so Bucky wouldn’t hear him.
“I’m falling in love with him to.” Y/n told Sam shyly admitting what she had felt happening for a while.
“Look, he doesn’t let people in easily so please try not to break his heart.” Sam glanced over to make sure Bucky wasn’t listening. Sam didn’t want Bucky to get his heart broken after opening it for the first time so deeply. Sam didn’t believe she’d break Bucky’s heart but he wanted her to know that he didn’t let people in easily or often.
“I won’t. I know how that feel’s. I’d never do that to someone.” Y/n told Sam honestly, and Sam could tell she was speaking truthfully by the look in her eyes.
“Good, good. And I’m sorry you’ve experienced that. I’m not trying to intimate you or-”
“You're just looking out for him. My friends did the same for me when he met them. I get it. Our friends are our family.” Y/n cut him off, she understood where Sam and Steve were coming from. Y/n knew Wanda and Pietro did the same. Bucky and her considered their friends their family and you protect your family.
“We are going to be great besties.” Sam smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders with a huge smile on his face.
“Over my dead body!” Bucky called having heard Sam’s declaration of friendship to his woman. Which caused the other 3 to laugh.

Summary: Girl's night with Natasha joining Wanda and Y/n, while guys night it also going on where Mox currently is. Then we have a Video chat with Opie about Thanksgiving plans. Bucky joins in on Y/n's Thanksgiving plans.
Authors Note: Sorry it took so long guys. It was done by Thanksgiving but I had zero time to type it up since then. Which pissed me off cause I worked so hard to get it done before the holiday and that didn't happen. Just like its past Christmas by this point and I'm not even done with hat one to even be able to type it. So the Next chapter should be hopefully soon and it'll evolve Christmas but I also don't want to rush it cause int he next chapter Jax and Bucky will meet! Thank you all for being patient!
“So how do you know her again?” Wanda asked as her and Y/n set up the stuff for girls night.
“I met her through Bucky. They’ve been friends a long time.” Y/n explained as she set out the snacks on the kitchen island. She was thankful that Wanda was helping her since she had only got home an hour before Wanda arrived.
“Its sweet of you to invite her.” Wanda also wouldn’t turn down them gaining another friend that wasn’t a male. Girl time was needed.
“I got the feeling she needs more friends of the female nature. She works with a lot of dudes. Plus she's, I don't know better words than cool and chill at the moment.” Y/n laughed and Wanda joined but understood what she was saying.
“Well I for one would be happy to have another female friend.”
“Pietro doesn’t count?” Y/n looked at her with a smirk.
“As much as he wished it did to join girls night. No.” Wanda answered seriously before they both broke and laughed.
A few minutes later the doorbell went off. “Hey Nat. Come on in.” Y/n opened the door and stepped aside to let her in. “Natasha, Wanda. Wanda, Natasha.”
Wanda smiled in greeting. “Nice to meet you. I hear you know Bucky?”
“I’ve known Barne’s for a long time. Sometimes it feels like to long.” Natasha joked, she felt at ease with just Wanda and Y/n around. Like she was free to be herself, which was rare in her line of work. Especially when just meeting someone. “So what do you ladies normally do? I brought fruit covered in chocolate.”
“Yummm. Did you have something in mind?” Y/n took the food to get it out on a plate.
“A few.” Nat smirked before dumping out one of the bags she brought on the counter and it had face masks, hair masks, and nail polish. She wanted to make a good impression and be a good addition to girls night.
“I approve.” Wanda stated as she looked over all the supplies.
Y/n nodded in agreement. “Then let's officially start girls night.”
The first thing they did was go to Y/n’s bathroom and get their hair wet over the bathtub which ended up causing a lot of laughter. They put the hair masks in after ringing out their hair a bit and they twisted it and clipped it up before going back to the living room to start on their nails.
“So where’s Mox tonight?” Wanda asked curiously as to where the pup was. She was missing the little guy.
“Bucky said he needed to be with the guys for guys' night since this was a woman only.” Y/n laughed remembering their conversation and how she planned to give Mox a facial and Bucky’s face just deadpanned.
“Mox has privileges other men aren’t granted.” She shook her head at Barnes' actions. Mox was the only man allowed at ladies night. Bucky was just jealous.
“Agreed.” Mox would be welcome anytime for ladies night Wanda agreed.
“I miss him but I have you ladies tonight.” Y/n sighed as she looked between 2 colors she wanted to do on her toes.
“Mox or Bucky?” Nat wiggled her brows teasing the Y/h/c-ed girl while Wanda laughed.
“I meant Mox. But I enjoy Bucky’s company to.” Y/n blushed, avoiding eye contact.
“I approve of him.” Nat and Y/n raised an eyebrow in question ot Wanda and she rolled her eyes. “Bucly, I mean. He puts your best interest first as far as I’ve seen and heard. Unlike someone else.” Wanda's voice trailed off in an annoyed tone.
“Yes. This ex I’ve vaguely heard about?” Nat looked back to Y/n with renewed interest to know more.
“Jax.” Wanda filled in which Natahsa sent her a nod in thanks for the name.
“Jax, you left back in Charming? It sounds anything but.” She referred to the town and honestly she wasn’t wrong.
“It is. And yes, Bucky is different, better, no comparison when it comes to the relationship.” There was no comparing her relationship with Jax and her relationship to Bucky. They were drastically different.
“God.” Wanda said with a clipped tone. She hated what Jax had put her through emotionally.
Natasha raised a brow the whole night she hadn’t heard Wanda sound so angry till now. “Do I need to fly out and sabotage something of this Jax’s?” She looked to Y/n ready to defend her new friend and beat the crap out of this guy.
“No. We're on good- okay terms. He’s like a brother to Opie. I couldn’t make Opie choose. So I just left. I couldn’t be there anymore. I hope one day we can be friends again.” Y/n explained while finally choosing a color to start in her toes.
“Okay terms?” Nat asked as she picked a color for her hands.
“The only people in my life from there that knew where I am is my brother and father. . . I wish I didn’t have to hide where I went from everyone. Their family, but I didn’t want Jax to know. I still don’t.” It wasn’t the easiest situation, Y/n knew it’d be hard.
“Think he’ll come here?” NBat questioned, she’d be prepared to send his ass the other way.
Y/n shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know. I don’t think he believed I was serious when I said I was done with whatever we had. So I left and I didn’t tell anyone but my dad and Opie. they encouraged it. Wanted me to leave, said it’d be the best thing for me and I think they were right.”
Y/n knew in her heart as well that it was to get her away from all the rivalries happening with Samcro and all the shit that's been going down recently. The farther she was away the better. The safer.
“You were right for having the idea in the first place.” Wanda smiled at her best friend. It was the best thing for her. And she wouldn’t have met Bucky otherwise.
“If he ever comes here I’ll kick his ass. Make it look like an accident. Or I’ll find a reason.” Natashe stated which caused them all to laugh.
“Going back to the Bucky thing. . . How’s that going?” Wanda asked, wanting to pry more into her friend's romance.
Y/n smiled shyly. “It’s going good. Great in fact. . . He told me that whenever I wanted to I could move into his place.”
Wanda stopped her painting for a moment to take in what she heard. “He asked you to move in?”
“You just moved in here.” Natasha shook her head. ‘Seriously Bucky?’ was what she was thinking with an eyeroll.
Y/n nodded. “He said no rush since I did just move in here. But the offer’s on the table whenever I’m ready. Whenever I want to.”
“Wow.” Wanda was in shock but she was happy for her friend.
“I think I should just let you know. . . He’s never been this serious about anyone since I’ve known him. Never this serious or this fast. And I don’t think it’s necessarily fast, I think it’s the pace that's just flowing for you two. It’s right. It fits the two of you.” Nat told her, she didn’t want it to add pressure but she believed she should know. That Y/n is the only woman Barne’s has ever been serious about.
“I have to agree with Nat. It’s the right timing for you two and your specific relationship.” Wanda added in agreement with Natasha on the timing of their relationship. They feel it then they feel it.
“I hate how cheesy this sounds but. I’ve never felt this way before. And God it’s such a cliche line but, it’s true. He makes me happier than I think I’ve ever been before and . . . “ Y/n paused biting her lip, this was a lot and to be able to talk to them about it was helpful.
“What?” Wanda was watching her friend with baited breath and anticipation.
“I feel seen, loved, cared for,.” Y/n finished looking at them nervously. She hadn’t felt this way before and even though it felt right she wasn’t sure it was.
“These are good things.” Natasha sent her a happy smile. She is happy for her and for Barnes. It’s not easy to find what they have.
“Yeah. They are.” Y/n needed to stop letting doubt pop up. She needed to trust the actions and the experience of their relationship and stop waiting for the other shoe to drop. “Ugh oh okay. Enough of that. What movies are we gonna watch and what are we ordering for dinner?” Y/n changed the subject having felt her friends helped her work out the mess that was in her head about it.
“Now you're talking.” Wanda got up to get the take out menus.

“Hey Buck.” Steve called out as he and Sam entered the mansion. Once they reached the kitchen Moxley let out a happy bark. “Hey to you to Mox.”
“How’d you get the dog for the night?” Sam asked, setting down a six pack of beer on the kitchen counter.
“I just pointed out the fact that he’s a boy who should be hanging out at guys' night.” But also girls love to say guys aren’t allowed at guys night, Bucky thought that should extend to the dog thats all.
“Ha, nice.” Sam could only imagine how that conversation went.
Mox looked to Bucky and let out another bark, wagging his tail. “He agrees.” Bucky smiled, leaning over to pet him.
“Is the game on in the den?” Steve asked, smiling as he watched his friend interact with the young labrador.
“Yup. Already set up.” Buck answered, standing back up to full height.
“Come on Mox.” Steve called the pup to follow them. Which he did and once they entered the den Moxley went right over to the dog bed Bucky had apparently put in there.
“So Thanksgiving is coming up.” Sam brought up as they waited for the game to start.
“I’m aware. Where you going with this?” Bucky raised a brow in suspension.
“Is she going home for it?” Steve knew where Sam was going to take this so he figured he’d join in.
Bucky shook his head. “She hasn’t mentioned anything about going home. More like she’s planning on spending it with Peter and her Aunt May.”
Sam raised a brow at the Mobster. “Are you going with her?”
“I was thinking about it. Considering this year is the year you all go to your families for the holidays.” He shrugged, if Y/n invited him he’d love to spend Thanksgiving with her and her chosen family here in New York.
“I think you should.” Steve didn’t want his best friend to be alone, he is serious with Y/n why not spend Thanksgiving together?
“Then that begs the question about Christmas?” Sam pointed out.
Bucky rolled his eyes. “Again. I plan on spending it with her.”
“And what if she wants to go home for that one?” Steve thought she’d at least go home for one of them considering she hasn’t gone home since she moved and the only visit has been from her brother.
“I’ll go with her.” At least Buck hoped she’d want him to go.
Steve reached for a beer to cover his shock. Bucky had never wanted to willingly meet a girls family. “Meet the rest of her family.”
“And the ex who made her move here that's like a brother to her own brother.” Sam had no doubt Bucky would try to intimidate him so he smirked, mimicking Steve to crack open a beer of his own.
Bucky scoffed. “That does not intimidate me.”
Sam glanced over at the pup who got up to go over to Bucky and he noticed something. “You got Mox a bandana for your team?”
“He’s my dog.” Bucky sent him a ‘Are you serious?’ look.
“He’s technically your girl's dog.” Sam stated picking up a chip to dip.
And as much as Bucky wanted to hit him upside the head, he decided to be more rational in his answer. “And she doesn’t have a favorite NFL team so he’ll wear mine.”
Sam shook his head. “Poor dog.”
Bucky scoffed, narrowing his eyes. “Oh compared to your team?”
Sam narrowed his eyes back. “Cold man. That's just cold.”
Steve all the while sat back as the game started, ready to enjoy it, and not take part in their bickering.

( Video Call With Opie )
“Hey sis.” Opie answered his phone, accepting the video chat. Y/n could tell he was outside the clubhouse sitting at the benches.
“Hey Ope. Someone wants to say hello.” Y/n smiled at the much missed sight of her brother. She wanted to introduce him to her new pup so she picked Moxley up so he’d be in the shot from her laptop on the coffee table in front of her couch where she sat.
“No way.” Opie let out an airy laugh of surprise, as he also thought ‘Finially’.
“Say hi Moxley.” Y/n lifted one of Mox’s paws mimicking a wave.
“Of course.” He spoke his thoughts with a shake of his head. Of course she’d name the pup after her favorite wrestler. “When did you get a dog?”
“Bucky got him for me.” She told him as she set Mox down on her lap where he was comfortable and still in the camera frame.
“That was nice of him.” Opie was impressed, this guy listened and knew her better than he thought.
“Very.” She nodded with a smile. Opie liked seeing her smile again.
“Hey Y/n/n, I’ve been wanting to ask about if you're coming back for thanksgiving?”
And that was the question she was dreading. “I uh, I already made plans to stay and have Thanksgiving with Aunt May and Peter.”
“Ah.” That answer spoke volumes, Y/n could hear the disappointment.
“Ope-” Y/n didn’t want him or her dad or anyone there to take her absence the wrong way. She missed them. She really does.
“No, no I understand. We just miss you is all.” Opie did get it. He understood where she was coming from. He just- he never thought it’d be this hard not knowing her in distance all the time.
“I miss you to, and dad.” She missed her uncles in the club as well. It just wasn't the right timing.
“It’s been months, ya know.” It had been months since she moved and since he visited her.
“I know. It’s hard Opie. Being away from everyone is hard for me. Especially being away from you.” They were never separated as kids and that bled into adulthood.
“I just miss you. It’s weird having you be so far away.
As Ope looked up he saw Chib’s waving him to come inside. Which meant they must have gotten news and it was time for church. He sighed not really wanting to have to end the call but he also didn’t have a choice. “Hey Y/n/n I’ve got to go. Club stuff.”
“Okay. Be safe, talk to you later, Ope.” Y/n sent him a small smile before he had to hang up. Y/n sat there for a moment in thought, petting Moxley's ears. She hoped he’d be safe, and as much as she missed everyone she didn’t feel like going back just yet.

( Thanksgiving )
Y/n was in the middle of finishing getting ready when she heard her front door unlock and in came her Bucky. “Hey Bucky.”
“Hey doll.” He smiled, shutting the door behind him. Mox came running to him, which Bucky squatted down loving on him as the pup kissed his face. “You ready?”
“Yeah. Can you put Mox’s jacket on please.” Y/n asked, if he did that then they could leave sooner.
“Sure.” Bucky stood up and went over to the small closet near the hall and got the dog jacket.
“So how come you didn’t have Thanksgiving plans?” Y/n asked as she headed into the kitchen to pack up the cookies she baked to bring over for everyone. Y/n wondered why he didn’t have any plans to go anywhere for the holiday feast.
“Every other year my friends- family, they go to their other family’s home to celebrate. Next year they’ll all be here. You’ll get to meet a lot more of them.” Bucky explained to her, smiling towards the end of his explanation. He was excited to integrate her into his life more. Especially into his family.
“Sounds like a fun time. I can’t wait.” Y/n stopped what she was going and smiled warmly at her man. He wanted her to meet the rest of his family, that warmed her.
“So it’ll just be Aunt May, Peter, Wanda, and Pietro?” Bucky wondered. He was sure that’d be it but he wouldn’t mind if there were more people to meet from her life.
“I believe so.” She nodded, closing the lid to the ziplock container.
“Sounds nice.” He smiled, as he finished zipping up Mox’s jacket.
“I think so. Ready?” Y/n asked, grabbing her jacket.
“Yup.” Bucky answered, grabbing the leash and clipped it to Mox’s collar.
The couple headed out and got into Bucky’s car and he drove the 3 of them over to the Parkers place. When they got there Bucky parked, they got out and headed up. Y/n knocked on the door and it opened on its own a bit.
“Hello?” Y/n called out as her and Bucky shared a glance.
“In the kitchen.” May called out, which caused Y/n and Bucky’s shoulder to un-tense. They entered, shutting the door behind them. The closer they got to the kitchen the more they could smell the delicious food that May had been cooking. “Hey Sweetheart, Bucky.” May greeted with a smile.
Y/n and Bucky hugged May before Y/n asked. “Do you need any help Aunt May?”
May shook her head. “Nope. Everything is cooking now.”
“Wanda and Pietro texted and they’re on their way.” Y/n told her having received Wanda’s text on their way over.
“Perfect. I’m so glad you both could come.” May smiled at the couple, happy to have both of them here for the occasion.
“I’m grateful to be invited.” Bucky couldn’t put it into words how grateful he was to be welcomed. Then again they don’t know about his profession.
“You're always welcome here.” May practically read his mind when she stated that, as she reached out and squeezed his arm affectionately.
“Yeah, man. You're like family now.” Peter piped up having entered the room not long after. Peter and Bucky had a pretty good relationship so far. Bucky had taken Peter out for a guy’s day and when they came back they were acting like brothers. Peter took out a tennis ball and showed it to Mox and they both left the kitchen.
Y/n nudged Bucky’s side with her whole body as she sent him a smirk. “You're stuck now.”
BUcky wrapped an arm around her holding her close as he looked down at her face with a smile. “No place I’d rather be.”
30 minutes later Wanda and Pietro showed up. They all played games while waiting for the food to finish, and when it did Bucky helped carve the turkey and carried it to the table. Laughs were shared and jokes were told. Moxley enjoyed all the attention and some food May had prepped just for him. After eating they played more games till it started to get really late. Everyone said their goodbyes.
On the way home Y/n couldn’t help the smile spreading her lips. She turned her head to look at Bucky as he drove. “I think that was a fun Thanksgiving.”
Bucky couldn’t agree more. It was a nice small family gathering, and he enjoyed seeing his girl in such a relaxed element having fun. “It was one of the best I’ve had.”
“Really?” That surprised her, she figured he would’ve had better more extravagant Thanksgivings.
Bucky turned his head at a red light to look at her. He lifted their intertwined hands that sat on the center console and he kissed the back of her hand. “Yeah, doll. It was fun and carefree. I enjoyed it.”

“So when is mystery man arriving?” Pietro teased with a mischievous smile.
“Bucky, is arriving in a few minutes.” Y/n corrected by reminding her silver haired friend of the name of her so-called ‘Mystery Man’.
“And we’re excited to meet him.” Wanda’s soft but excited voice didn’t match the glare she sent her brother. The twins were both very excited and intrigued to finally meet this man that had pursued Y/n eagerly.
“He’s here.” Y/n announced having received a text from Bucky as she checked her phone. He was coming out of the elevator. Y/n went over to the door and opened it before he could knock. “Hey!” Y/n smiled brightly at him, pulling him into a hug and Bucky readily wrapped his arms around her torso.
“Hello, Doll.” Bucky mirrored her smile, happy to see her again. It had been a few days since they last saw each other in person. Bucky had to leave town for some business for a couple days. It was nice to have her in his arms.
“Bucky, this is Wanda and Pietro. My twin best friends.” Y/n stepped to the side and pulled him into the apartment to introduce her friends before shutting the door.
“It’s nice to finally meet the two of you. I’ve heard great things.” Bucky nodded at Wanda and Pietro. He was happy to meet Y/n’s friends. They had talked about it and after having 5 dates it was time to introduce the friends. First he’d meet Y/n’s friends and then they’d set up for her to meet his friends.
“So have we.” Pietro winked rocking on his feet.
“Excuse my brother, we normally keep him away from civilization.” Wanda rolled her eyes and smacked her brother upside the head.
“Hey.” Pietro exclaimed, flinching, bringing a hand up to rub his head.
“So you're a business owner?” Wanda asked as they all walked over to sit down in the living room. As Wanda looked at him the longer she did the more she felt as if she’d seen his face before but couldn’t place where.
“CEO, business owner. I dabble in many things.” Bucky sat down right next to Y/n and accepted the soda Pietro handed to him. It was to early in the day for anything alcoholic.
“Must deal with a lot of different kinds of people.” Pietro noted.
“It does. All different kinds of people with different backgrounds. It’s never boring.” He explained with a nod of agreement to Pietro’s words. That was something Bucky enjoyed about his work. In all aspects of it.
“What made you want to dabble in so many different kinds of business'?” Wanda wondered, it was a lot to take care of ‘Why would he want to run so many?’.
“Curiosity. I want to help in all different kinds of ways. It ranges. I have a security company that put’s in security equipment and you can hire protection if wanted, I also have restaurants, manufacturing, hotels, some apartment buildings. Just a lot of random things that I’ve had an interest’s in, and they’ve done well. And I’m still adding things as well.” Bucky shrugged, smiling as he answered Wanda’s question.
“Like what?” Y/n asked curiously, turning her attention to Bucky. ‘What could he want to add?’ she wondered.
“I’ve been looking into and producing a candy shop. It’d be themed and have activities, with other stuff you can do besides just buy candy.” It was one of his more fun ideas and he did plan on pursuing it.
“Well if you ever need a taste tester I’m always free to help.” Pietro smiled happy to offer his time and self to taste testing candy, or anything else Bucky needed testing that he could eat.
The group chatted a bit more before Y/n felt the need to use the bathroom. Which the twins decided was the perfect moment to ask Bucky the harder questions.
“Now that prinessa is out of the room, time for the hard questions.” Pietro smirked, rubbing his hands together.
“What he means is, what is Y/n to you? Is this a fling to you? Or do you really want something?” Wanda elaborated as the twin’s wanted to know this man's intentions with their friend.
Bucky nodded in understanding, they were just looking out for Y/n. He admired that, most wouldn’t care enough. Then again Bucky knew that if they knew who he was they probably wouldn’t have said it so bluntly. “I can see how close you both are to her and I admire how you're looking out for her. To answer your questions, no this isn’t just a fling to me. I want this to be something more to become something serious. As for what Y/n means to me, she means everything to me. I know it’s fast and that it hasn’t been that long. But as cliche as it sounds I’ve never felt what I feel for Y/n before with anyone else. And I want it to last.”
Pietro hummed in approval. “Hmmm, good answer.”
Wanda nodded her head in agreement with her brother, but she had more to say. More that she felt needed to be said. “I will admit you seem like a good guy, and you have made Y/n really happy since you both met. I believe you when you say you want something real with her. So I’ll give you some advice. Don’t keep things from her. She had enough of that at home. She’ll never fully trust you if you do.”
“Noted.” Bucky appreciated that Wanda would tell him such information.
Wanda sent him a smile before getting up to bring some snacks over.
“Wanda.” Bucky called out stopping her to gain her attention. “Thank you.”
“Just don’t break her heart.” Wanda gave him a nod and a smile. She liked Bucky and he seemed good for her friend, but she didn’t want Y/n’s heart to get broken.
“I don’t plan on it.” Bucky stated, he truly didn’t plan on ever breaking Y/n’s heart.
“Everything okay?” Y/n asked as she came back into the room having sensed something was said between them.
“Everything’s great! Let’s play some games.” Pietro piped up with a clap of his hands ready to beat someone in a few games.

( 3 weeks later )
“So we’ve been on I’d have to say about 12 dates. But I feel there’s things I don’t know about you that I’d like to.” Bucky smiled at Y/n as he handed her a coke. They were just enjoying each other's company at Bucky’s place. Y/n wondered if she would ever get use to the fact that Bucky owned a mansion.
“12?” Y/n tilted her head in question, taking the can of coke out stretched to her. She had stopped counting after 5. They had been dating for a month and a half and Y/n was happy and content when with Bucky.
“I’m counting the coffee slash tea date when we first met.” he smirked mischievously.
“Smooth. So what do you want to know?” Y/n laughed nodding in agreement, she’d count it as a date as well. It lasted long enough and they got to know each other a little but during it as well. Y/n shifted to face him moving one leg under her butt to be more comfortable.
“Well, I know your favorite color, your favorite places, you're from California, you prefer disneyland or disneyworld even though you’ve never been to disneyworld. You're an active person and hate staying home and doing nothing. You like cats but prefer dog’s, you like cheese but not on burgers, like salad but no lettuce on burgers or tacos. I know some things you love and some you hate.” Bucky spoke confidently listing just a few of the things he knew about her.
Y/n nodded along hearing him list off things he knew about her so she decided to do the same as she scooted closer to him on the couch. “You know a lot. But not everything. . . And I know your favorite color, your favorite places, you're born and raised in Brooklyn, you’ve never been to either disneyland or disneyworld which is a damn shame and we are changing that sometime. You're also active, don’t have much down time but what you seem to have you spend with me, you don’t like eggs on foods more like in foods, and as breakfast food, don’t blame you there, and you like cats and dogs evenly. And I know some things you love and some you hate.”
“You know a lot as well, but not everything.” Bucky winked teasing her by repeating her words from before.
“What's on your mind that you want to know?” Y/n giggled at his tease. They still had a lot to learn and find out about each other, Y/n knew she needed to open up a little more so she vowed to herself in that moment that whatever he wanted to know she’d answer honestly.
“Why’d you move across the country? It wasn’t a job as you’ve stated before you free lance writing and doing some stuff for a friend's pizzeria. So what prompted the big move?” Bucky had been curious about it for a while. What prompted such a big move.
“Well what prompts any good sudden decision to move across the country then any good heartbreak.” Y/n stated with an anxious laugh.
“I’d say I’ll kill the bastard but whatever he did, it brought you here and I wouldn’t have met you otherwise.” Bucky gave her a light smile with love in his eyes. He was torn between wanting to hunt down and kill this guy or thank him for sending Y/n his way.
“I don’t want him dead. Just wish he didn’t waste my time, or hurt me in the process.” Y/n told him honestly, but even she could hear the slight tremor in her voice. She was over Jax and glad to have moved and now have Bucky. But that doesn’t erase the hurt that she went through.
“Still care about him?” he asked nervously but he was hiding it well. Bucky didn’t want any possible chance of losing her.
“Not in that way. We grew up together until we caught feelings for each other. We were like siblings. He’s still like a brother to my own brother.” She explained to him this time with a nod and no tremors in her voice.
“Your brother is still friends with the guy who broke your heart?” Bucky raised a brow in shock and confusion. How was that okay? Shouldn’t brothers choose their sister's side?
“My brother hates that he did that to me and he did beat his ass but there's a bond there that I understand can’t be broken and I wouldn’t want it to.” It was hard to explain to someone who didn’t know the whole situation or story of their lives.
“That's very honorable of you.” He was impressed that she put her brother’s friendship above her hurt heart.
“I don’t know about honorable but I know its the right thing.” Y/n shrugged looking down at her drink in her hand.
“So he broke your heart and you left?” Bucky was trying to change the subject without fully changing it.
“I’m from a small town stuck in the past. Him and my brother are part of a club along with my dad. The clubs in town and plus that town is kinda a deadend, death trap, a place you can get stuck in. Its better to leave if you can. Most people get stuck there. My father and brother both thought it was a good idea I leave. They miss me but they understood I couldn’t be there anymore.” Y/n thought that was the best way to explain Charming and her leaving without digging up all the hurt that pushed her to leave. “Me and the guy- Jax, were together but also not really at the same time. Its complicated. And he would talk about us getting together and being serious- hell we were each other's first everything.” She told him further. She trusted Bucky and felt he could know the whole truth. In time she might even tell him the full truth.
“But?” Bucky really wanted her to continue.
Y/n grimaced before continuing, Bucky placed a comforting hand on her thigh noticing her discomfort. “After he’d say all that I’d find out after he left being with me he’d sleep with some other woman. Normally more than one. Probably actually most of the time. But he’s charming, and sweet, not to mention good looking and I’ve known him my whole life. . . I trapped myself in an impossible situation and the only way to truly get myself out and to truly move on was to leave town completely.”
“Do you still love him?” Bucky couldn’t believe someone would cheat on this girl. What an idiot. But Jax's loss was Bucky’s gain.
“I miss him. He was my best friend even through everything. But love him?” Y/n looked at Bucky and she knew she was falling in love with him. She’d always love Jax but never in the same way as before. Never romantically again. “I’ll always love him like a brother, but I don’t love him in a romantic way anymore.”
“Good.” Bucky said to fast after she stopped talking. He let out an awkward laugh. “I mean I wouldn’t want to be falling for someone who’s hearts taken.”
“My hearts taken but not by an old flame.” Y/n spoke with a gentle voice as she stared at him with a shy tint to her cheeks.
“And who’s taken it doll?” He asked, looking at her with hope filling his eyes.
Y/n cupped his cheek with her right hand, and looked him directly in the eyes. “A very handsome, kind, sweet man, who goes by a silly nickname. A man who mended my broken heart without even knowing it or trying. A man who tries to impress me when he doesn’t have to. Who pays attention to everything I say, who actually seems to care.”
“God, I really hope you're talking about me.” Bucky gave her a love struck look.
Y/n raised her other hand to cup his cheeks with both hands and kissed him on the lips. “Does that answer your question?” She asked after pulling away to breathe.
Bucky kisses her again. “Yes, and by the way I feel the same way. There’s not many people I can trust enough to be myself around. But I can trust you.”
“I appreciate your trust.” he had no idea how much she appreciated it.
“Will you be my girl?” Bucky wanted her to be his officially.
“Are you officially asking me to be your girlfriend?” Y/n but her lip in anticipation.
“I am. What do you say?” Bucky smiled as he ran a hand through her hair.
“I say I would love to, but you need to know that I’m putting my trust in you to not hurt me. To protect my heart not break it.” She told him seriously.
“I promise with all the power I have that I will protect you and your heart.” Bucky promised looking her right in the eyes, before pulling her back into a series of kisses.
“3 days in a row?” Wanda looked at her with wide eyes, shocked. She wondered who this guy was and she admired his persistence in pursuing her friend.
“He’s really into you.” Pietro smirked, enjoying this greatly. Y/n went from a man- boy really who didn’t want true commitment to a man who was very persistent to have her attention and spend all his free time with her.
“And now for this lunch date, do you know what he had planned?” Wanda leaned against the kitchen counter as she ate her lunch but she wanted to know all about her bestfriends new fast growing relationship.
“Nope, but he texted saying wear something comfortable.” Y/n shrugged, it was an odd request considering last time she needed to wear something nice. But she was intrigued, a complete 180 in not even 24 hours, what did he have up his sleeve.
“So no lunch at another 5 star restaurant?” Pietro teased her, wiggling his eyebrows.
“I don’t think so.” Y/n laughed at her friends teasing. She glanced down at her phone to see a text from Bucky saying he’s down stairs so she said her ‘see ya later’ an left the apartment and headed down to meet up with Bucky.
“I’m glad she found him. Whoever this guy is.” Pietro told his sister, happy for their friend.
“Yeah. She needed this.” Wanda nodded in agreement at how much Y/n’s mood has changed for the better since meeting Bucky.
^ ^ ^
“Hey Doll.” Bucky greeted, smiling brightly at her as she exited the building. Again he was driving one of his own car’s and Steve along with Sam would follow behind as protection, and they’d need to be there for later business.
“You look good in normal clothes.” Y/n smiled teasing him as she approached, he was leaning against his car without a suit on. She hadn’t seen him in anything but suit’s before now. He looked really good in jeans, t-shirt, and a jacket.
“Thank you.” Bucky laughed at her but he was glad she still found him handsome in regular clothes. Since there is such a thing as the suit effect. He was just nervous trying to impress her that his mind was coming up with everything that could possibly turn her off. Lack of suit included. But it seemed she liked him better in street clothes.
“So where are we going?” Y/n asked as he held open the passenger's side door for her.
“It’s a surprise, but I think you’ll love it.” Bucky with an excited glint in his eyes told her as she got into the car.
“I’m trusting you.” She joked, but there was an underline of truth in her words.
“And I appreciate that trust.” He told her honestly, before shutting her door and going around and getting in himself.
“Good, it doesn't come easy or lightly.” Y/n had been through so much before and her trust had been broken to many times by the same people. But she just had a feeling Bucky wouldn’t abuse it.
About 15 minutes later Bucky pulled into a parking lot and led Y/n inside. He was nervous about whether this was a good idea or not. But he was relying on his gut feeling that this would be something they both would enjoy.
“So, how do you feel about Bowling?” Bucky was watching her closely to see her reaction as he opened the door into the bowling alley. Hoping it would be a good one.
“Are you kidding?! I love bowling! I haven’t been in years!” Y/n exclaimed with an excited smile on her face and eyes shining with pure joy. It had been forever since she last went bowling, not much time for it back home in Charming. She looked around in nostalgia at everything around the bowling alley.
“So this is way better than the 5 star restaurant?” He asked with a hopeful tone in his voice. Bucky loved bowling but it had been so long since he’d lost bowled as well. But he thought it’d be a fun activity for a date between them.
Y/n turned to face him reaching for his hand and giving it a squeeze she smiled at him hoping to reassure him. She could see the silent turmoil in his eyes hoping this was a better idea than the dinner he planned, but the dinner wasn’t bad in her mind, just overwhelming. The dinner date wasn’t bad, it was just new to her. “Bucky that was good to, just very different for me. I enjoyed the restaurant and the food, all of it. It’s just a completely different lifestyle than I’m use to. It wasn’t bad, just new.’
He appreciated her being so honest with him and that she wasn’t against his more lavious lifestyle things. She just wanted him to go a little slower, easing her into it. “So what I’m hearing is ease into the more lavious stuff?”
“Precisely.” Y/n gave him a nod.
“I’ll try. But it might not last long.” He sighed, teasing her with a glint in his eyes. Bucky wanted to spoil her but he’d go slow if she wanted him to. He felt it might be necessary if he wanted this to last and work.
“As long as we still do the mundane things that's fine.” She laughed, Y/n knew it wouldn’t be easy for him. It was obvious one of Bucky’s love languages was touch and another seemed like spoiling her with things and places. Y/n was fine with those she just wasn’t use to being spoiled, it would take time. Time that they have.
“Then let’s bowl.” Bucky smiled wrapping his arm around her waist and walked them over to the counter so they could rent shoes.
Next they picked out their bowling balls and went to their assigned lane. Bucky and Y/n had a blast bowling, they were both really rusty at it but they were having fun laughing at each other and at themselves.
“You started off not that good and now you're bowling like a pro. Were you holding back on me?” Bucky questioned her biting his lip as he watched her get a strike on their 3rd game. He enjoyed seeing how happy this activity had made her and that his choice was a good one.
“No, but the first round was just warming up. Getting back into the bowling mode. I was rusty and now I’m not. Always been that way.” Y/n shrugged happily watching as all the pins reset themselves before sitting down next to him.
“Sneaky.” Bucky shook his head amused squinting at her playfully, as he got up to take his turn.
“Not Sneaky! It’s just like riding a bike when it comes back to you. Muscle memory.” Y/n enjoyed how freely they could joke with each other. She felt free being with Bucky.
“Well I wish it came back to me so easily.” He sighed watching as he only knocked down 3 pins. Had it really been that long since he last went bowling? That he sucked at it this much?
“Maybe we’ll just have to do it more often so you get it engraved into your body.” Y/n suggested casually as she could but she knew the second he understood the implication of her words. More dates. Continuing with what was growing between them. Bucky’s back straightened.
“I’d enjoy that.” Bucky turned his head smiling at her.
They continued to bowl a couple more games and ordered some mozzarella sticks and soda’s to eat and drink. They were having so much fun in each other's presence that they lost track of time. That was until Bucky’s phone dinged alerting him to a notification.
“Business?” Y/n asked, noticing how his posture changed and became more stiff as he read whatever came up on his phone.
“How’d you-?” Bucky looked up from his phone at her with a tiny but of shock and a good amount of confusion.
“The look on your face. I’ve seen it before. It’s business you don’t really want to deal with at the moment but have no choice.” Y/n explained, she knew that look all to well from back home.
“You're good.” He nodded, eyeing her curiously and impressed. It was a very accurate explanation and he wondered
“Just observant.” Y/n shook her head with a tight lipped smile. Years of practice and observance.
“Let me at least drop you off at home before I go take care of business.” Bucky practically pleaded, not wanting to leave her just yet.
“I’d appreciate it.” She smiled, grabbing his hand. There was an underlying elephant in the room that didn’t need to be talked about just yet. With that they finished up their game and food, then headed back to Bucky’s car. It didn’t take long for them to arrive back in front of her building.
“I’ll text you later.” Bucky promised as they parked outside and he turned off the car.
“I look forward to it.” Y/n kissed Bucky on the cheek before getting out of the car.
With that Bucky pulled away from the curb and pulled over down the block and parked to park the car, the black SUV with his men in it followed him. And once again Clint got out of the SUV that Sam and Steve were in and took the keys from Bucky to drive the car back to Bucky's home. Clint was really enjoying this new part of his job. Bucky walked over and got into the SUV’s backseat. Steve was behind the wheel and Sam in the passenger's seat. They had been following them the whole day, just like the night before. But now to deal with ‘Business’ they need to arrive as a united front.
“I’m fucked.” Bucky let out along with a deep sigh as he slumped down in his seat.

Y/n was headed back home after getting some tea and dropping off some supplies off for Aunt May had asked her to get for an odd lunch rush that had happened at the restaurant.
“Oh! I’m so sorry.” Y/n immediately started apologizing as she felt herself run into a hard body dumping her tea all over. She knew she should’ve double checked the lid, at least it wasn’t hot tea.
“It’s okay.” Bucky said holding onto her waist which he had grabbed onto to keep her from falling after she had ran into him. He couldn’t help but smile as he looked at the women that ran into him and really took in how beautiful she is. If anyone were to run into him Bucky felt very blessed to have it be this woman.
“That’s an expensive suit isn't it?” Y/n grimaced as she looked over his suit and could tell it was very well made. Of course she had to run into and spill her tea all over some rich guy’s suit, staining it.
“It’s okay, Doll.” Bucky smiled, waving her off with one hand as he let go of her waist. Looking her in the eye’s Bucky thought she was the most beautiful woman he had the pleasure of laying eyes on. He could care less about the suit. God knows he has enough of them. “Truly. To be honest I hated this suit so you just gave me a viable reason to trash it.”
“Promise?” Y/n raised an unsure brow at the man, he was being very understanding and not yelling at her which Y/n appreciated. But she was confused as to why he was so okay with her having stained his obviously expensive suit, on the obviously wealthy man.
“I wouldn’t lie to you, Doll.” Bucky laughed smiling at her concern for his clothes, it was amusing. Bucky really did hate this suit and now he had a good enough reason to actually trash it. It was endearing to him though how this woman was so concerned about his clothes being ruined. He was trying to assure her that he wasn’t upset at her at all.
“You don’t know me.” Y/n stated, he didn’t know her so why should she trust him to not lie to her. Y/n knew not to trust just anybody, even if they were as handsome as the man in front of her.
“How about we change that?” He raised a brow, he hoped she’d agree. Bucky really didn’t want to let her go without getting to know her. If he did there was the chance he’d never run into her again.
“I don’t know you.” She squinted at him, suspicious of the stranger in front of her. Sure he seemed like a nice guy but that didn’t mean anything.
“Bucky Barnes.” Bucky held his hand out for her to shake introducing himself so he’s less of a stranger to her. It was a start and really all he could do.
“Bucky?” Y/n was surprised at the odd name, her voice rang with confusion as she repeated it.
“It’s a nickname, it comes from my middle name. James Buchanan Barnes.” He explained with a shrug knowing it could sound odd.
“Y/n Winston.” Y/n shook his hand and in return told him her name.
“Y/n. Well, Y/n getting to know you and you getting to know me would be all I need in exchange for you ruining my suit.” Bucky told her, smiling as he put his hand in his pant’s pocket. He was hopeful that she would take the bait and repay him for ruining his suit with letting them get to know each other.
“Well played Mr. Barnes.” Y/n smirked at his cleverness. Enjoying his response and what he wanted as repayment, she found it amusing.
“Please call me Bucky. My friends do.” He shook his head with a laugh, Bucky wanted her to feel comfortable around him.
“So we’re friends now?” She raised a brow at his boldness.
“I’d like to become friends. At first.” Bucky smirked as he nodded at her question. She was to beautiful to not want to be more than friends and her personality seemed to match.
“Got big plans for us already, Bucky?” Y/n teased but she was curious. It was obvious to her that he was flirting and she thought why not flirt back? No harm in it, besides he seemed like a nice guy.
“Possibly.” he winked, she was bold with him and didn’t shake with fear when she heard his name. It was very clear that she didn’t know who exactly he was. Which Bucky was curious and happy about. “Do you like coffee?” Bucky asked, wanting to continue to talk to her but not on the side of the street.
“No, but most coffee places tend to have tea, which I do like. So where to?” Y/n linked her arm with Bucky’s for him to lead the way.
Bucky led them to a little coffee and tea bistro that happened to be around the corner. When they ordered Y/n went to pay for her’s but Bucky gently pushed her hand away and reminded her that getting to know each other was his repayment for ruining his suit and that he offered to get drink’s so he was paying.
“So you're not a coffee drinker. Noted.” Bucky said as they sat down at a table in a far corner where no one was really around.
“Are you storing these note’s for later use?” Y/n teased inquired with a quirked up brow in curiosity.
“Well I want to know and remember everything about you. So yes.” Bucky nodded confidently as he answered her.
“If we’re getting to know each other, that works both ways.” Y/n told him taking a sip of her tea.
“What do you wanna know?” Bucky gestured for her to ask whatever she liked he’d be an open book to her questions.
“Everything.” Y/n smiled, shaking her head amused.
“That goes both ways.” Bucky smirked, throwing her word’s back at her playfully.
The two spent 3 hours sitting there and talking getting to know each other. Enjoying each other’s company. They shared a bunch of laughs, smiles and even jokes with each other. They never even felt the time go by, luckily for both of them when they did notice it wasn’t to late in the day yet.
“I had a delightful time.” Bucky told her honestly as they exited the bistro, smiling at her.
“Me too.” Y/n smiled up at him. She hadn’t had that much fun in a very long time.
“Can I have your number?” He asked looking at her with hope that he made a good enough impression to earn her phone number.
“From how big of a CEO you are and how many businesses you own, you're a powerful man. I'm sure you could just get my number.” Y/n smirked playing with the fact that he had moderately told her about all his company’s and etc…
“Its less creepy if you give it to me.” Bucky glanced down at her teasing and then shyly back up at her hoping he could in fact get her number and know everything about her in a snap of his fingers, but that's not how he wanted to do things with her.
“Agreed.” Y/n gave him a nod agreeing with his statement, that two exchanged numbers.
“I’ll see you soon, Y/n.” Bucky smiled genuinely at her as he walked over to his car waiting for him as Sam and Steve stood by the driver's side pretending not to be listening in on the two’s conversation.
“Bye, Bucky.” Y/n waved as she started to walk back on her way home. It wasn’t a very long walk but the whole time including walking up the stairs her thoughts were on the business man she just kinda had a date with.
“You took longer than expected.” Wanda said as Y/n entered the apartment.
“I ran into someone.” Y/n spoke, taking off her jacket and shoes.
“Is this person of the opposite sex?” Pietro teased from the kitchen as he heard her answer his sister.
“Yes, in fact he is.” Y/n nodded as she sat down on the couch with a smile on her lips.
“Ooooh, tell us more.” Wanda ran over to sit in the chair across from Y/n. Excited for her friend's new ‘friend’.
“He was handsome, sweet, confident but not overly. . .” She smiled even wider and bit her lip thinking back to her time with Bucky. “CEO of some businesses and owns a ton of them and others.” Y/n looked down knowing it sounded nut’s.
“Holy Shit!” Wanda’s eyes widened to the size of saucers.
“How’d you meet this guy?” Pietro asked, coming over to sit on the loveseat, very intrigued by the event’s that had apparently happened today.
“Spilled my tea on him, completely ruined his suit.” Y/n winced recalling that movement.
“What’d you do?” Wanda questioned worriedly if he was rich that had to be an expensive suit to dry clean.
“Apologized, but he said he hated the suit anyway so I did him a favour really. Then he wanted to get to know me so we got tea. Chatted for a few hours.” Y/n explained the short version to sum things up.
“Did you get his number? Please tell me you got his number.” Wanda was on the edge of her seat hoping her friend did not pass up the opportunity to get a cute and interested man’s number.
And in that second Y/n’s phone dinged, as she glanced down to check it happened to be the very man they were talking about.
(Texts:)
Just wanted to make sure you gave me a real number. - Bucky
Don’t worry it’s really me. Although if I had given you a fake number you still would’ve gotten my real one somehow. - Y/n
Well I appreciate that you didn’t make me go through all that trouble. - Bucky
Your Welcome - Y/n
Can I see you tomorrow? - Bucky
What’d you have in mind? - Y/n
“By the look on her face I’d say they diffidently exchanged numbers.” Pietro smirked as he and his sister watched their friend blush as she read her newest text’s that had come in.
They both thought this could be good for Y/n. Move on from Charming and maybe if it leads to more she would be able to move on from a certain teller. Maybe she could mend her heart in New York.
