I am calling all Jake sweetbitter x reader writers! for a request!
( I can’t write this since I never read the novel or watch the show and I don’t know how to write the characters well enough)
Y/n is an optimistic waitress in her young 20s just getting by and working on a novel, she may seem naive, but she knows her male co-workers kind, especially jake.
Although she loves being his friend she wouldn’t be his side lover while he has Simone.
Y/n isn’t that girl who will give up her body to anyone with lust that separates herself from her fellow female co-workers.
Y/n knows better that everyone just wants everyone’s body and not for who they are which is why she’s been single for so long.
Y/n denies jake left and right, telling him jokingly but seriously “Sorry, “Lover” boy I’m not that kind of gal!” before serving the customers.
This frustrates Jake but almost makes him attracted to Y/n more than her body slowly before an intern waiter comes in.
Y/n begins making a bond with Jeremy the new waiter and she starts to hang around less with jake and more with him, especially over the group.
Little does Y/n know, jake starts to get jealous of some guy, and he doesn’t acknowledge this jealousy.
However, Simone does and she is furious she wanted jake all to herself and he is fawning over Y/n, being jealous he’s not with her?
Jake wouldn’t even acknowledge he might even like y/n for real and not just her body.
This fanfic would definitely be a “Love Rectangle” Juicy fanfic ;)
Here is a Scene example of Y/n rejecting Jake because she doesn’t want a one-night stand but a relationship.
Y/n sighs after finishing her drink by the bar next to Jake and sits up from the chair.
“Hey, Y/n are you doing anything later-“ he tries to say but she cuts him off. “Jake…you’re a good friend, I wish you and Simone the best.” She smiles sadly and stands up.
“I’ll see you at work.” She says before leaving, Jake wanted to say something anything, he wanted to grab her arm to stop her and say “not like that. I meant we could watch a movie” but the words never came.
He didn’t move, he just sat there like a coward and drank his beer. Jake doesn’t want to admit or acknowledge he has feelings for Y/n.
Jake had Simone and he could be with her and other women without a committed relationship.
However, a part of him really wanted a committed relationship with Y/n. He ignore that part of him but still, he couldn’t help but think…
