hi sorry if this doesn't fit the blog or anything but I'm currently questioning, can I still be loveless if I don't love specific people or animals but I do love general concepts/things/activities/etc? also does it count as love if I have like some sentimental attachment to a specific thing I have? I feel like I'm loveless spec but idk, I still love to say that I love things (case in point lol). I love reading and I love being aromantic and I love biology. I'm also somewhat attached to my ikea shark plush because it doesn't sensory overload me and it's also a personal symbol for my gender journey, but I'm not sure it's "love", and I've never even considered calling it love. thank you in advance :)
We define lovelessness as: "A disconnect with the concept, word, or feeling." So if in some cases you don't feel it where you think you "Should" and others you do think you feel it that could be graylove. It's hard for cases like this because being allolove is hard to define, some people love everything and other only love things they know, both would probably define themselves as allolove unless they stated something otherwise. We find we say the word just when we like something but that feels more like we've been conditioned to do that rather then feeling love, you know?
Just because you like the word doesn't mean you align yourself with the concept. Not loving specific people or animals seems like a big sign of being loveless!
In other words, a lot of nuance, depends on how you feel about the term. We think you fit the bill, but do you?
We'll leave the rest to whomever wants to give their two sense!
