Some feel unsafe to be able to come out or are not ready to come out, and that's ok! Please, if someone trusts you with such a deeply personal and beautiful thing, guard it. People will let you down (even if they don’t mean to). Life will let you down. You will let yourself down (we’ve all been there). But Gods love will never, ever let you down and His great love, in the form of Jesus, came down from Heaven to save you (John 3:16) - that’s how much Gods love “never fails!” (1 Cor 13:4:8) All love originates from God, because He IS love. We love because God loved us first (1 John 4:19). In Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus gave two commandments: to love God and to love others, saying, “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (verse 40). We can’t hope to love like God loves, because His love is without end - but we can try! 1 Corinthians is the blueprint for what love is. Jesus is our example of how to love. We’re human, we won’t get it right a fair amount of the time. But Jesus is there to help us to fulfil the two Matthew 22 commandments and to learn to love with a 1 Corinthians kind of love. Amen! 🙌
