Tamagotchi Pix Features Two Low Battery Screens

It’s no secret that the Tamagotchi Pix has a short battery life, and Bandai has been transparent about that. With new technology comes some strain on the older fashioned AAA batteries. Between the built-in camera and touch buttons the Pix drains batteries twice as fast as the predecessor, the Tamagotchi On. What we’ve recently noticed is that the Tamagotchi Pix features two low battery screens.

The first screen is only seen when trying to access the built-in camera when your battery is low, the screen will say “Low Battery! Replace the batteries to use camera”. It appears that the built-in camera uses much more battery than typical features that Bandai needed to create a low battery screen that would restrict caretakers from accessing the built-in camera. In our experience we’ve been able to continue using the Pix a few day after seeing this screen.

Once your battery is truly too low to use the Pix, you’ll see the traditional “Low Battery!” replace the batteries” screen. When you see this screen you know you either need to replace your batteries, or charge up your rechargeable batteries because you won’t be able to take care of your Tamagotchi from here on out.
