how do roman, logan, and patton's own parents feel about each of them? do any of them have supportive parents, did anyone suffer from abuse besides virgil? (like maybe patton is so helpful and hospitable because he knows what it feels like to have nothing)
hey this is a good question i like this one
tw for child a*use & homophobia
-Patton doesn’t have parents. his birth parents physically & emotionally abused him, and abandoned him as a child. he grew up in different foster homes, and eventually aged out of the system. he never found his forever family. (when he finally told Logan, Roman, & Virgil the truth about his childhood he told them that they were his forever family. lots of crying & hugging ensued.) this is why he’s a really paternal person, and treats Virgil, Roman, & Logan like his sons. also why he runs a daycare center ((kind of a poor career choice tho considering he has to interact with a lot of parents but he toughs it out)) he likes to take care of people, and make them feel loved since he never was.
-Roman’s parents have always been amazing. they are fully supportive of his relationship, and absolutely adore Logan & Virgil (they adore Patton too. they love what a supportive & loving friend he is, but it’s hard for him to be around parents. especially super nice/loving ones. he does really really like them tho.)
-Logan’s parents aren’t the best, but they’re not exactly bad either. they love Logan a lot, but they were always too busy to make time for him. nowadays they know about his relationship, and they aren’t exactly thrilled about it, but they don’t care enough to say anything. well, for the most part. Virgil & Roman always feel awkward around them, but they’re very rarely ever around.
-Virgil’s parents are the worst. well. his dad is. his mom does have a lot of issues, but she always tried her best to be supportive. his dad used to be nice & supportive, but he changed when he found out that Virgil’s pan & in a relationship with two guys. he became really emotionally abusive. so, his mom is okay with the relationship, but his dad definitely is not. his parents never visit, but he talks to his mom a lot. (this is one reason why Patton treats Virgil like his son the most. his dad isn’t in his life anymore & Patton thinks he needs a father figure. Virgil sometimes pretends to be annoyed, but Patton knows he appreciates/loves it.)
