AU: Maekar Targaryen in the HOTD era as Sea Dragon's second husband. having beef with everyone who desires her.

According to Mushroom, King Viserys forced his brother Maekar to marry Adera Velaryon to keep her under close watch after her husband, Harwin Strong, died suddenly under suspicious circumstances.

Septon Eustace denies these rumors, stating that the King only arranged the engagement out of affection for both parties and concern for their children. Maekar's children needed a mother, and Adera's children needed a father. The solution was obvious in the King's eyes.

It is said that for the first time, Queen Alicent Hightower, Prince Daemon Targaryen, and Princess Rhaenyra agreed on something: all three were against this union. But the King turned a deaf ear.

Some say that even the bride and groom didn't seem happy at their wedding and that the tension was palpable. Even so, everyone seems to agree that Prince Maekar Targaryen appears to have been a more present and devoted husband than Ser Harwin Strong, and that Lady Adera cared for his children as if they were her own.
