Right now I'm working on a bunch of lilies for a lady who contacted me and asked me if I was interested in buying a box of very thin crocheting yarn that she has had in her storage for a while. I asked her for the price and she gave me a very good offer and I immediately took it, thanked her and paid her the money. Her daughter and son-in-law live in the same town as I so we will have an arrangement where I go to their place to pick up the box of yarn. Because she was so kind to offer me this big lot of yarn, which usually is quite expensive, for such a low amount of money I will give her a small miniature bunch of lilies that are her favorite kind of flowers. I have made lilies before, both calla lilies and stargazer lilies so I know what I'm up to. Each lily has 6 petals arranged with 3 upper petals and 3 lower petals and they are different from each other. And each lily has 6 quite long stamens and 1 even longer stigma. Creating these requires pieces of yarn that I dip into paint and let it dry and then I pour them into a lot of glue and twist them together into what becomes the stem. The petals are also dipped in glue and dried and then each petal can be moved into position and kept there. The final touch up will be painting the petals with stripes and/or spots so the flower will appear to be as lifelike as possible. For a bunch at least 3 flowers will do but 5 flowers will be a good number that makes the bunch look good. Under 10 any uneven number is the optimal so if the flowers are easy to create then the more the better. But lilies are very work intensive so 5 lilies in a pink color scheme and with some green leaves put in between will be a decent number and will look good. This is something I love and enjoying doing and I strive for certain things within my business to make sure I continue to enjoy it for a long time. . 💕 CREATIVITY: I can't create any of my pieces without creativity, whether it be a simple cookie charm or a complicated dragon. I am always looking for inspiration and I let my brain run with any idea it thinks of. 💕BELIEVE: Believing in yourself... this is something that is extremely important and without it you're going to struggle. I struggle a lot with this but I am always working on it and have an amazing support system. 💕AMBITIOUS: Ambition is what helps me grow and push myself to always do better. It helps me strive to be the artist I want to be. 💕 KIND AND HELPFUL: I want those who purchase my creations to be happy and love them. As such I make it a goal to treat everyone with kindness and help where I can. I also put my love into my creations and I hope that my customers can feel that. 💕ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE: This is something I am striving for and adjusting where I can. I have left over things in my packaging I am trying to use up befotr I move on to more environmentally friendly packaging. But in other areas I upcycle. I get brown paper in some of my boxes when I order things. Instead of tossing it I keep it to reuse in my order packaging.
