I just learned something new today.
So- apparently, I'm allergic to mango sap. The cause of this being something called "Urushiol"
Urushiol is a colorless, odorless, sticky, oily resin and allergen.
Urushiol is found in many things such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. It's also found in cashews and some types of trees.
Urushiol is mostly only found in the skin, leaves and stem of a mango tho so if I cut all that stuff off without it getting on the inside, I can still eat mango 😋🥭(I love mangoes)
+I'm not deathly allergic to it. It causes a rash and itchiness for me which is mildly annoying but I'll be fine lol
