A love built on stillness. Lan Xichen doesn't chase or rush. Your bond grows like ink on parchment, slow, graceful, and impossible to erase.
You bring laughter into his life. The first time he hears you really laugh, loud and unfiltered,he just watches you, eyes soft, as if he’s memorizing the moment like a rare flower blooming.
He doesn’t flirt. He cherishes. The way he pours you tea, the way he listens intently, the way he adjusts your robes if they’re slipping—all tender acts of devotion.
You call him Zewu-jun in front of others, but privately? He melts when you whisper “Xichen” with that look in your eyes.
Quality time. He doesn’t need grand gestures. Just sitting beside you in the library, reading quietly with your fingers occasionally brushing, is more intimate than any ballad.
If you’re injured, he remains calm outwardly but you’ll wake up with him seated at your bedside, his eyes rimmed with exhaustion, whispering “You came back to me.”
You once got caught in a dispute with another sect. Lan Xichen smiled politely during the meeting and dismantled their entire argument in four measured sentences. They didn’t even realize they’d lost until hours later.
Mornings are sacred. He makes you tea before you wake. You often find flower petals placed on your scrolls, or rare books he found in town “that reminded me of you.”
He’s surprisingly good at fixing things with his hands, hairpins, seals, even weaving. Once, he mended your sleeve by moonlight when you fell asleep early. You never noticed, but he did it with a small smile.
He plays the guqin for you when you're anxious. The sound of his music feels like a lake at dawn, pure, steady, endless.
He doesn’t raise his voice. But when he’s hurt or frustrated, he grows quiet. You can see it in how he won’t meet your eyes, in how his shoulders slope just slightly more.
He’s terrified of betrayal not because of what it does to him, but because he thinks it makes him weak for not seeing it coming. It takes time for him to trust his heart again.

RECOMMENDING YOU MANWHAS BY THEIR PRETTY PANELS AND MY PERSONAL REVIEWS
operation true love - personal score: 10++++\10 - status: ongoing in season 2 - review: I love this series so much, the art is amazing and the plot is a typical Korean romance. The story revolves around a girl who finds out she's destined to be loved by no one in life and is the target of someone who believes she's the error in the system. A jellypop who helps her keep track of the love received, a cheating boyfriend, a nasty stepsister, a fake boyfriend, a scarred popular boy... she navigates life in search of the meaning of love. It starts in high school but has a time skip (many criticized it) so it jumps in adulthood too. Still, the characters warm your heart and even if the main focus of the plot is lost along the way I got so invested into the characters lives that I can't wait to find out how it ends. And who she ends up with. Honorable mention to all those moments carefully crafted that are what make a romance a good romance and create a real genuine connection between the characters without forcing relationships or jumping out of nowhere to destabilize readers. Trust me and go read it.
Iseop Romance - personal score: 9\10 - status: ongoing - review: Cute serie, art is very good and Iseop in particular is one of the most expressive characters I've ever seen in a manwha. Again, it's a pretty typical Korean plot, all revolving around companies and CEOs and secretaries so...it's something you might have seen before, but the shift in characters with a needy ML and a bothered FL is refreshing and fun to read. I don't think it's a must read, but again if you like the genre I highly suggest it.
undercover! chaebol high school - personal score: 8\10 - status: 2 seasons complete, waiting for update - review: tells the story of a girl who goes undercover at a prestigious high school in seek of revenge. The plot is thick and a bit heavy, it talks about spies and revenge and a love that bets and loses more than wins. You'll face all this if you decide to read this. Disclaimer, be ready because you'll see a BIG difference in the art at the beginning and at the end of the serie. The FL appearance in particular shifts quite a bit throughout the story (like she starts with bangs but gradually changes hair(??)). Still, it end up being majestic (look at the panels, they're just wow).
secret lady - personal score: 9\10 - status: ongoing in season 2 - review: For this one the art is simply beautiful and the plot is very interesting too. It narrates the story of a girl that has the ability of seeing ghosts and uses it to help her family survive once she reincarnates into a new life. I personally think it loses its focus along the way, especially after the first season, it spaces out a bit too much but still, it's different and fun and probably has one of the best arts out there in manwhas. Still has to finish so let's wait for a more detailed review.
who made me a princess - personal score: 9.5\10 - status: finished, anime is airing now! - review: Cute, soft but deep. This manwha tells the story of a girl trying to win her father's affection. It's different from the typical Isekai and has great characters, it's light and fun to read. I suggest it if you want to read a light story of a princess, magic and family bonding.
trapped - personal score: 10+\10 - status: finished - review: This is a must read. I don't care if you're not into the genre (I'm not much into it myself) but I believe this is one of the best narrated manwhas I ever read. It tells the story of a badass girl being trapped into a deal by a nasty vampire. I only disliked a certain narrative choice (won't say to avoid spoilers) but still it's a long journey that has you hooked all along. The female lead is girl boss, maybe one of my fav FL in manwhas. Go read this one right now.
Serena - personal score: 8\10 - status: ongoing in season 2 - review: So... art is very pretty, it tells the story of a girl who inherits the family Hotel at a young age after a tragedy takes away her family and is aided against her will by a boy she's forced to marry. I'm not Serena's biggest fan, just because I don't like characters who lament and do nothing to change their situation, still I found more insufferable FL in other manwhas and she has valid reasons so let's say it's bearable. I would've liked if she was portrayed more capable and strong. Many enjoyed this story and its twists so I still suggest it.
as the heart leads - personal score: 9\10 - status: season 1 complete, waiting for update - review: I like the plot, a girl who can see ghosts and how and who they hunt fights them off and protect the man she entangles with. The art is very pretty and it was an interesting and enjoyable read, I really suggest this. The FL is in power and she's a hundred steps ahead of everyone else. I'm waiting for the second season to be released.
my younger brother's best friend - personal score: 8.5\10 - status: finished - review: it's a cute story, a bit boring here and there but still it's cute and heartwarming. Plot revolves around the FL who's torn between her little brother's friends. I found some parts a bit bland and unnecessary but again, if you're searching for something light and upbeat to fill your afternoon I suggest this one.
selfish romance - personal score: 10\10 - status: season 1 complete, waiting for update - review: Love this! Very up to date and relatable. It tells the story of a man and a woman still hooked on their ex partners who try to help each other overcome their breakups. The art is super pretty and the characters are 360 with their respective backstories. You'll root for them to end up together. There's chemistry and a connection that isn't rushed or forced at all, instead it feels natural and heartwarming. The art is beautiful and clear, I find myself liking this sort of art more than those overly artistic and complex manwhas panels. I super suggest this one!

a few months ago i came out as pansexual (yes, like “hearts not parts” but also “hearts?? why are there so many??”). i’m a girl, for context. and yeah, i’m not even gonna pretend—will byers from stranger things absolutely dropkicked my brain into self-discovery. thanks queen😚🫰
anyway. i had this whole beautiful realization like “wow, i can love anyone. boys, girls, trans, non-binary, humans shaped like cryptids, etc.” i feel like a massive stone was just lifted of my chest.
BUT THEN.
my brain goes: “okay but if you had to choose…”
and suddenly it’s like: femboys. gay men. ???
or or!!!! Tomboy girls😏
and now i’m sitting here cause i unlocked the wrong achievement in life.
But what if I get into a poly relationship with two guys who are gay for each other, and I watch them do the deed? That would be enough for me, okay?
