Hi! Hope you guys are doing well! I was wondering if you could make a drabble of witching hours eclipse’s childhood? Or when killcode found him? Killcode just seems so interesting in this au, with the little tidbits eclipse talks about :)
Sadly KC is pretty spoilery, especially because the 3rd story in WH is gonna be about KC raising Eclipse, and because the big man himself will be introduced in the next story
But I have this little scene that I've written about them, that'll likely get a reprise in the 3rd story, so here it is! Some bits have been changed however to emit spoilers
Killcode will have to admit, he was teasing a little.
"Papa! Papa wait!"
But only a little! How could he not when the young little witch just made it too easy?
"Papa wait up!"
The little one was oblivious to it though, fully believing his guardian couldn't hear him. He could. He's always paying attention to his son.
"Papa wait for me!"
The small pitter-patter of little feet when it meets wood is just too precious. The adorable frilly white and yellow dress he bought for the child flaring quite amusingly as he jumped down a log.
Almost as if he could sail down with it. Maybe he should charm the dress to do that. That'd be adorable.
"Papa!"
He's getting louder. The little one is losing patience, and perhaps Killcode can admit he's being a little mean. Just a bit longer.
"Papa— argh!"
The white little witch hat chose this moment to slide down over golden white optics. He barely suppresses the chuckle in time.
"Stupid hat"
Oh, the witchlet is grumbling now. How cute.
"Papa wait! My legs are shorter!"
He's still determinedly holding the basket in his hands, now once again at his heels after he finished his fight with the offending hat. The little one is jumping now, in the hopes if he's higher perhaps his guardian will 'notice' him.
Killcode will miss these times when he can mess with the young witch like this. He will grow up much too fast, and then he'll realise when he's being messed with.
"Papa! Papa wait!"
He's looking at the child out of the corner of his eye, smile wide. His child just looks so cute hopping up and down while looking up with giant sad optics.
Aw, does he truly believe he'll be left behind? Silly child.
"Pap— aaahg!"
Oh dear! He wasn't supposed to fall—
The little one gets up like nothing happened, before Killcode could whirl around to look him over, already back on his heels. Such a sweet little thing.
"Paaaapaaaaaaa!"
Alright, he's been mean enough
He stops, humming in mock concern.
"Hmmm, where might little Eclipse be? Oh dear, it appears I've lost him!"
"No you haven't papa, don't be silly!"
He makes a show of looking around, optics crinkling when he hears a little giggle.
"Eclipse? Where might you be?"
"Down here!"
He looks down and gasps.
"There you are! I was getting worried!"
The little witchlet chuckles, rocking on his feet. It makes his witch hat hit him in the face, the little star clanking against his casing. The little grumble that follows makes him chuckle.
"Perhaps I should take over the–"
"No! I'm bringing the basket!"
Well alright then
"Well, I believe I will just have to bring you then"
The child shrieks with laughter as he's picked up and a kiss is pressed to his face. He playfully baps Killcode on the face, trying to get away.
"Noooo! Papa stoooop!"
"Stop you say? However will we get home then?"
The little giggles it earns him are entirely worth it.
He sighs in contentment, fixing his hold under striped stockings. His child leans into the hold.
"Papa I was calling so much and you didn't hear me! Is the air different up here?"
Such sweet cluelessness. He barely supresses a coo. The child is already old enough to think that's embarrassing.
Then the little one gasps, looking up at him in innocent curiosity.
"Or is it that thing that happens with old people?"
That one sentence hits him like a bull, completely unexpected. Especially delivered in such an innocent way.
"Don't worry papa! I'll love you even if you're getting old! Then I will be the one taking care of you!"
He's glowing in his happiness, and Killcode thinks those flowers growing on that tree weren't so vibrant before. Such a sweet little witchling.
"Then I'm terribly lucky"
He nuzzles the small head, careful of the little rays. His son returns the affection enthusiastically.
"Can we have pie for dinner?"
He chuckles. The little one is quite predictable.
"We shall see Eclipse"
The forest is calming as he disappears into it, no doubt responding to the return of the witchling's magic. So young and already so powerful.
He's eternally proud, filled with such love he didn't believe possible for his kind.
Killcode thinks he'd be forever happy with just one small little witchling by his side.
💔 - Neither of them has had one, yet.. (I will add a small spoiler though - for one of them.. someone leaves, suddenly and it takes years for them to meet again)
💑 What are my muse’s requirements for a potential partner?
Hayden: That they don’t need too much from him, because of his illness, he has limits to what he can do. Someone that is happy with evenings at home, in a bed, and gives him time alone when he needs it.
Rylan: Someone with a quirky sense of humor, that can handle him being a model and what that brings with it. Also, someone who can just be there for him, that one person that takes care of him.
💝 Does my muse like Valentine’s Day?
They both recently learned this was a thing, their parents never really celebrated it, so it was a bit new to them what it was. Both aim to celebrate it with a possible partner in the future.
