Rambles About Jewish Stuff
An AU of DC with a mass crossover of PS4 properties.
Provisional name: Players Searching for Detectable Changes (Get the pun?)
The setup:
This is the future of DC, a world where the old guard has slowly withdrawn and the newer generations have risen to the occasion. The original Titans in particular, most of which have formed the new Justice League while many other, very similar teams had started to form across the world. One of which was a resurgence of the Teen Titans, led by an older and purified Raven. She wanted to make the Teen Titans something akin as it was for her, a place to belong and learn to use one's powers.
The first 'class' of such individuals include:
Stargirl (of the now-disbanded JSA and still getting used to the Starrod)
Blue Beetle III (Freshly attached to his alien symbiote and freaking out a bit)
Robin V (to work on his anger issues, mostly at the new Batman's request)
Kaldur (a half Atlantean half metahuman who is struggling with his identity and the surface world, Aquaman feels a kinship for the boy seeing their similarities)
Static Shock (a promising new hero but little experience working outside his city or in groups)
Mary Marvel (she's... she's going through alot. Fresh from a coma, her brother is distant as he acts as the new Wizard, and she may be, sorta kinda, being corrupted by Black Adam's gifted power)
The team was rough and there was plenty of head butting (Mostly between Stargirl and Robin/Damian as one is almost the unanimous leader while the other thinks he should be) but they were getting there. They were more of a clean up crew for the Justice League, they did more than the "kiddie missions" that the Outsiders didn't do, and they meant more than the PR grab that was the International team. Though they didn't seem to amount to more than that. They still did their best, pushing past the silent ridicule, as they went about their missions.
This may be why tempers were so high that day.
One day, outside a little city by the name of Weller's Point, the prisoner transport for the villain Plasmus had an "accident". Released and awakened the creature went on a rampage, heading ever closer to the populated area. Luckily, the mentor of the New Teen Titans could teleport. The new team did fairly well in the fight, though they did struggle a bit as Plasmus was not a being where simple brute force would work. It made the fight tricky and more than a bit... messy.
Messy enough that juvenile and emotionally compromised Mary Marvel lashed out against the downed villain but was stopped by her teammates... things escalated from there. Restraint turned blows and the whole team struggled to stop their powerhouse without hurting her. The ones who do the best are Raven, Stargirl, Blue Beetle, and oddly Static.
While both of the former could use their abilities to restrain her to a very effective degree Static was actively draining her of strength, or at least of the electic aura she was radiating and blasting with. Frustrated, done with the situation, and a bit petty Mary launched her largest attack yet by saying her magical word.
SHAZAM.
Virgil did what he did best, he handled that lightning as it came crashing down towards Mary and the Titans restraining her. Well, he tried. The bolt was just too powerful, too unlike anything he had ever encountered. He could not handle it and it was dissipating, if anything it clung to him or tried to jump towards the girl. He had to get rid of it and he had to get rid of it quickly, safely too if he could help it.
He shoved it into the ground, into the power lines. He did it as carefully as he could, trying to prevent overload or flashover as guided the charge into the power grid.
What happened next was a combination of a few things. 1. The Mystic and transformative properties of the Lightning, 2. It is effectively being filtered through a bang baby, 3. The kryptonite power plant owned by, provided by, and operated by Lexcorp.
This interaction, this new charge, cycling through the power grid interacted strangely with a number of devices but none more so than PlayStation 4s and the devices connected to them. This new electricity changed things, literally. It brought fantasy into reality.
Whatever game was loaded into became a part of our reality in a small way. Sometimes TVs, Controllers, and even the system changed to reflect items from the game but the bigger change came with the Players. If a person was playing their console during the surge then they would become a metahuman with abilities based on the playable character they were playing.
The city, the county even, was now flooded by an abundance of metahumans and items of varying power of devastation. Static felt horrible.
He couldn't help but compare what has happened here to what happened in Dakota City but on a wider scale. And this time it was his fault. His sense of responsibility wouldn't, couldn't, let that stand. He had to fix his mistake and his team was dragged along for the ride.
The story to follow is a mix of Final Crisis and Kingdom Come with a bit of the Young Justice cartoon in events and themes, a few twists and likely a bit lighter in tone but to the DC geeks this should give a rough idea… Maybe a bit of Marvel's Civil War but hopefully not the rushed knee-jerk mess that that ended up being.
But it's here that I start having issues with my planning. One part in worry as outside the set up we start to follow the perspective of OCs (something rarely smiled upon) and another part in wondering which OC to focus on.
Now, one thing I love in fiction is progressive powers and the conflict escalating from the different paths people take in said progression. In that vein, I have a pair of protags in mind as well.
The main two/co-protagonists:
The Lawkeeper- a cop before the change and now a member of a task force made up largely of those affected by the surge. A gamer, a man of color, and a believer of the spirit of the law. He doesn't always get along with his fellow officers but he believes in what the blue does. He believes that an organized response is what is best.
His abilities are based on those of Jesse Fades of Control. Meaning he has tremendous psychic potential but he needs 3 things to reach his full potential.
1.Items to bond to so he can generate these psychic abilities. Jesse's used altered items of her universe to get thematic abilities from them (ex: a safe to generate a shield, a carousel horse for a dash ability, ect). Here he can use items generated by the surge.
2. A patron/partner entity to help guide, give insights, and empower. It also let's the user enforce reality, basically becoming an anti reality warper.
3. A bonded morph weapon or a weapon to come to his hand when called.
The knight- a recent college graduate who instantly decided to go the route of the caped hero. She, after figuring out how to get her powers to work, instantly went the route of a caped crusader. Going out to the streets, saving lives, stopping instances of surge item abuse, and (in the humble opinion of the local Police Department) getting in the way of operations. In her opinion they were taking too long to get things done.
Her abilities are based on those of Prince Noctis of Final Fantasy XV. This means she has tremendous physical and magical potential but like the above she has a number of check marks needed to gain access to the character's full power.
1. A gem/crystal to draw power from.
2. 13 magical weapons to boost strength. The generated game weapons will do and I have most picked out in a way that likely would help the plot progress.
3. The blessing of 5-6 gods.
4. A power ring of some king to channel all this power.
I keep debating the two above as I do like the idea of both of them climbing in power and clashing over conflicting ideals of what to do with their power. At the same time, I think that just smooshing aspects of both into one (which is actually where they started, a single character) and play off the different ideologies of how best to help people from within her friend group and precinct along with internal conflict. Maybe have the one be a fellow officer they butt heads with because of the... precarious nature
Another OC I was thinking on, keeping with the theme of what to do when you have power, is a thief who played Persona 5. Like both of the above they would be crippled in their ability to use their abilities without a way to fake the connection to. In this case, without the Mementos App, they would need an item that could affect or enter the hearts of others. Luckily, more unlucky really, there are plenty of items floating around that can do just that. Namely Keyblades.
Most other Players are an odd mix but most are variations of the Shooter build. Peak physical humans who heal quickly and often have bullet time. But there are enough other variations to cause trouble. Demigods of unreal strength, men and women who can easily tap into a patron for powers from the outside, 2 variations of spider powers, cat eyed men and women who can cast magic with simple gestures, and so much more. But the real issue was the first two, the demigods without a parent to protect them and those easily connected to a divine source.
The disembodied New Gods of Apocalypse were very happy with those groups. For how bad this can be please look at what happened to Mary Marvel in canon Final Crisis.
Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.
Caught in the Crossfire - 50/53
“Do...do you think everything’s okay with them?” I asked. “Like, did they seem weird to you this morning?” “Well, they have all the rings now, and Dean said they were heading to the next part of the plan. Said it was safer that I didn’t know. I guess Sam didn’t tell you either?” I stared at her. “They have all the rings? How?” Kelly frowned at me. “Mish, what do you know?”
Story Summary: Takes place during s5. Michelle was just trying to gain some semblance of normality. She didn’t expect to be a part of a fail-safe for the apocalypse. Reuniting with her best friend who should be dead, she struggles with trying to survive this world while being forced into a position that has her taking care of others who also don’t belong. She just wants to go home. Mass x-over.

The moment Kim Shin crossed the threshold into the SID offices, he immediately knew that whatever was drawing various people together was going to prove interesting, especially when he got a chance to see Zhao Yunlan’s face. Unlike Shen Wei, who only knew of Bai Qi by reputation, Kim Shin had actually met the man. And if he didn’t know that he was nowhere near Dragon City, or that he wouldn’t bother with fake identities, he would wonder if the man walking towards them now was the spirit doctor.
“So this is the ‘we'?” Yunlan asked as he stopped in front of Kim Shin and Shen Wei. “You hung up before I could ask.”
“I knew he would be coming with, so it would be easier to explain upon arrival, especially considering the matter at hand,” Shen Wei pointed out before turning. “Zhao Yunlan, this is Kim Shin. Kim Shin, Zhao Yunlan my… lover. And the chief of the Special Investigations Division here in Dragon City.”
Yunlan had to smirk at Shen Wei’s hesitation over their personal relationship status. He knew that the Dixingren fully acknowledged who they were to each other, but the man was much more private than many people realized and sometimes voicing certain things aloud still gave him pause. As he got to know Shen Ye Zun, he realized it was a trait the twins shared, as Ye Zun still paused over revealing such things when it came to his relationship with Zhang Ge Lan. Instead of commenting on the hesitation, Yunlan simply extended his hand to Kim Shin.
“Nice to meet you. How do you know Shen Wei?” he asked even as the Goblin took his hand. The moment their skin touched, Yunlan could tell something was different about the man.
“We’ve crossed paths a number of times over the past nine centuries,” Kim Shin said smoothly in slightly accented Mandarin. He couldn’t help the smirk that crossed his features when Yunlan looked at him with surprise. “I’m a Dokkaebi.”
“A… what?” Yunlan questioned.
“A Dokkaebi is a deity or spirit in Korean mythology,” a female voice explained as she walked over. “Also known as a goblin. Created by inanimate objects stained with human blood. There is tell that the only way goblins can return to nothingness is by a Goblin’s bride. Otherwise, they walk the mortal plain in immortality, cursed to watch those they love die with each passing lifetime and all the memories that entails.”
Kim Shin smiled gently, bowing slightly to the woman. “You know your mythology,” he said.
“Her speciality is mythology and folklore. She’s also an archaeologist,” Shen Wei explained. “Zhang Ge Lan, this is Kim Shin. Kim Shin, Zhang Ge Lan.”
Kim Shin’s eyebrow arched. “Zhang?” he asked. “You aren’t related to the Zhang clan, are you?” Shen Wei turned his head to Ge Lan, intrigued. It was a connection he never thought to ask her about.
Ge Lan shook her head. “Not that I am aware of,” she said. “But I am still learning a lot about my family history since I have my memories now.”
“You had memory loss?” Kim Shin asked.
“More like lack of memories,” Ge Lan explained. “I’m a reincarnation of Ge Lan of the Hanga tribe.. Unfortunately, she was still here until two years ago as a ghost working with SID under the name Wang Zheng. It wasn’t until the conflict over the Sacred Items was resolved that I gained my fully reincarnated soul. Until that point, I felt like I had gaps within my memory. At times I still do, but I am still sorting through everything.”
Kim Shin glanced at Shen Wei. “It seems that there is much more to the story of everything I need to discover than just how your lover returned,” he quipped with amusement.
I just had the BEST MCU Crossover Fanfic Idea ever :D
Ok so I was looking around on pinterest and was looking at a bunch of MCU fanart of IronStrange, then supreme family and then it snowballed from there. So I end up coming across a bunch of crossover fanart of all kinds which included another OTP of mine, Spidypool (and not with MCU spidy ok ew).
I saw BBC Sherlock and Dr.Strange, Spiderverse plus Deadpool, Tony and Bruce [IronDad & BatDad], Ant-man and Night at the Museum, Tony and RDJ Sherlock, Wonder Woman and Thor, etc.
Lots of crossovers as you can see.
So considering that in canon alternate dimensions/timelines are an actual thing I had the idea what if all these characters actually meet. Like it would be a slice of life thing focused on fluff, humor and drama. Maybe a lil angst considering I'm having it be after endgame with Tony having lived but him never having gotten together with Pepper after Civil War (so no morgan) and instead gets together with Stephen after Endgame (OTP IronStrange <3) with supreme fam [peter, harley & lil sis] and has it to where some people keep accidentally traveling dimensions or coming to theirs.
Could possibly consequence from the time-traveling Idk or just people screwing around with shit they shouldn't or accidents all accidents lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If anyone takes this up they are definitely gonna have to do a ton of research or have been in all these fandoms cause wow so many characters. I have decided to write these in parts based on fandom. Although the story doesn’t have to be written in arcs since it’d probably be better as connected one shots instead.
1) Spider-verse Portion (Humor & Romance)
Starts off with Miles accidentally getting taken to the MCU dimension while trying to travel to Peter B's using a device made by Peni and ends up meeting MCU Peter. Device either is busted or malfunctions so Peter takes it and Miles to Tony for help to see if he can fix [he tries but can't which he's mad about].
So Tony ends up having to call in Stephen to help which gets them bickering while Stephen looks for ways to send Miles back to his home with Tony still trying to fix the gadget. Miles ends up asking Peter if they're together which Peter says no but that they have so much UST that they might as well be together. Miles sympathizes and tells him about his Spidy Mentor also doing the same with his partner Deadpool, who had when first meeting Miles, promptly said he is his and Peter's new adopted son/nephew.
Then Peter and Miles get into a few shenanigans trying to get Tony and Stephen together after Peter asked for his help (they include the cloak too). After which Miles gets sent back, Peter goes home to tell Ned about his latest adventure and Tony & Stephen schedule a date after finding out about each others pining curtesy of 2 spider kids and cloak.
Inspiration X X
2) Hero Dads (With Fluff & Angst)
Tony after awhile gets the device that Miles left behind to work. Although not enough to send a person through yet, but he can send a couple machines he made that he can connect to even across dimensions (may have had a little help from Stephen).
Ends up using them to connect to the other dimensions internet to see how different they are and he first tests it in the DCverse and sees all these other heroes just like the avengers. Finds out about Batman being a billionaire (and dad) like him after using his awesome hacking skills to find out who Batman is and his fellow heroes. Ends up later messaging the man after Tony ends up being confronted by the realization he was the adopted dad of a bunch of kids (Peter, Harley + sis, Riri, Vision, FRIDAY, bots) queue inner crisis.
Bruce is at first suspicious but then later amused after talking and messaging with Tony as they both bond over their kids. Both sharing stories, pictures, and videos about their kids then later their lives and how similar they are. They become inter dimensional pen pals and complain to each other about their fellow heroes too.
Could be spaced out into one-shot chapters about certain topics. Like kids, childhood, their hero coworkers, maybe love lives hmmm.
[Ok I just finished reading some Tony & Bruce fanfic and yes I now have another fav Brotp that involves Tony. It can be added with the Science Bros(Tony & Bruce.B), Iron Bros(Tony & Rhodey), and Snarky Bros(Tony & Loki)]
3)BBC Sherlock (Romance Drama & Humor)
While working on the device with Stephen besides him Tony gets visited by Everett Ross and T'Challa for 'reasons'. But something happens that causes it to malfunction for a bit and transport all those in the room to another dimension.
They end up coming across BBC Sherlock and Watson who Strange asks if they can stay with for a bit since the group have no place to stay until Strange can get a message to Wong to help them back. Queue lots of shenanigans with alternate selves with boyfriend(s?) nearby [not sure about having everpanther or no].
Tony definitely flirts a little with Sherlock causing Strange to be mildly jealous and even more so when Sherlock finds some interest in Tony for how smart he is. Maybe during the stay they help solve a crime and apprehend the suspects. With Everett showing his awesome agent skills, Tony his god level hacking, T'Challa his hand to hand no suit, and Stephen his magic.
Sherlock and Watson are totally shocked and fascinated about them. Before they return to they dimension Tony leaves a device like the one he sent to DC so that they can communicate if they ever want to.
ADD-ON: Maybe have Sherlock and Watson visit the MCUverse at some point and have them get into an adventure with Strange and Ross. Lots of magic and gun fights abound poor Sherlock and Watson too much chaos in this universe. lol
Inspiration X X
4)RDJ Sherlock
Tony finally gets the device to work complete and begs Stephen to go with him to test it out just in case it can't do a return trip. Stephen reluctantly agrees and Tony ask him to look for a dimension that has a look alike of him since last time they meet one of Stephen's.
So Stephen decides to be cheeky and takes him to the one where now Tony's look alike is Sherlock. Tony finds this hilarious and gets along with him while Stephen regrets his decision cause he wanted to get payback for the flirting last time but that didn't work. Queue Tony and Sherlock getting into shenanigans while Stephen and Watson try to rein them in (and falling). They then use the device to return home after maybe solving a crime or two with Sherlock.
5) Night at the Museum (Humor)
After hearing about the alternate dimensional shenanigans Tony, Peter and others have been going on. Scott is quite curious and asks Peter to ask about his own counterpart and so Peter offers to see about look into it with the help of Miles (they have been keeping in touch through Tony's devices).
After the talk they go looking to for a dimension but end up accidentally activating the transportation function which takes Scott, Cassie and Peter to the Night at the Museum dimension. There they end up meeting Larry and his son who had come to visit the museum and get talking.
Larry decides to show Scott and others what happens after dark in the museum with the help of Tilly and Mr. McPhee. Considering that Peter was able to send a message to Tony about what happen and when they can come back they were okay to stay a night before leaving.
Inspiration X
6)Thor's Foodie Friend (slice of life & fluff)
At some point Thor ends up interrupting Tony while he was talking with Bruce and gets introduced to his fellow billionaire/hero. Bruce then ends up mentioning Diana aka Wonder Woman after remembering what Tony said about the God and how similar the two are. Thor is intrigued and wishes to meet her and so Tony let's him borrow a second device he made after Bruce gives Wonder Woman another device that Tony made to pair with Thor's. They end up being buddies like Tony and Bruce and talk about all the weird cultural stuff they have learned and still are after living on earth.
Don't have much ideas for this one since I don't know much of Thor or Diana ^_^;
7) MCU Actors (Humor, Drama, Angst, Fluff & Romance just every thing >.<)
This is Tony just screwing around with the device until he ends up stumbling across a dimension where there are no heroes at all and everyone he knows are actors instead (essentially its like Supernatural but with MCU instead). He starts looking through their internet cause his interest is peak which is where he finds out that in that dimension his and everyone's lives are movies and comics.
Which he finds both disturbing and yet awesome at the same time although he finds its not completely the same considering the ending and who he ended up with. (Later learns its based on the main dimension that their world branched off of. He's so glad they aren't the main one.)
This could then have one-shots about multiple characters seeing all the fandom stuff they have based off them in this other world. You know conventions, cosplay, AMVs, fanfiction etc. Possible have some kind of viewing night to see stuff with everyone together. Maybe at some point they get the smart (dumb) idea to travel to that world to talk to their actor counterparts. [Those being Tony, Loki, Stephen, Steve, Bucky, Thor, Peter and who ever is a fun idea to write] Maybe even attend an actual convention in that dimension by replacing their actor selves for fun and also bring those conventions back as ways for good PR who knows.
[God so many interesting ideas I have that I’ll never write ugh]
And that’s all I got for this mass crossover fic that kicked me over the head and wouldn’t leave me until I wrote it out phew~
Anyone interested or wanting to write this can just message a link or add it onto this post I want to read them. :D
Mercutio: Hey, can I get some advice? My boyfriend has suddenly decided that he's now in love with this girl and wants to marry her even though he's only known her for like three minutes. This entire idea is also likely to get him killed. What do?

Mercutio: Yea?
Dolokhov: My boyfriend did the same exact thing a while back and he came back.
Brockdorff: That's only because he was stop--
Dolokhov: ANYWAY. He came back.
Courfeyrac: Mine didn't.
Dolokhov: Like, sorry man, but you died before he got the chance.
Courfeyrac: That's fair.

Dolokhov, Courf, & Mercutio: NO, Brockdorff.
