Consider this: it’s the 90s. Space shooters are everywhere. You have Gradius, R-Type, Zero Wing, all that jazz. How do you stand out? Answer: weird box art. Now everyone knows who you are. You’re the old man with banjo space shooter. It’s publicity. It catches people’s attention. That’s how you do it.
"Creating illusions isn't easy, but with a DS and the time to read through lengthy explanations, you can become a tech-savvy magician and dazzle your party guests—provided no one else owns the game.
Getting started with Magia en Acción is a bit of a hurdle, largely due to the sheer volume of dialogue and explanations you have to wade through before even reaching the main menu. The game offers options to play the "victim" in tricks performed by another magician, take part in mini-challenges, or put on your own show. The more you play, the more tricks you unlock.
The game explains how each trick works and how to fool your audience—though it involves a lot of instruction for a trick that ultimately lasts only a few seconds. While some tricks are easy to pull off, others require button presses or movements that are all too obvious to your "victim." Beyond that, there isn't much else on offer—aside from solitaire games—and the interface is annoying. That said, if you’ve always dreamed of being a magician, this saves you a fortune on props and lets you put on shows for your friends.
It offers all kinds of tricks for aspiring young magicians, though the fact that you're using a handheld console might arouse more suspicion than wonder." ~NGaming (#06, March 2008) [BMT🤖]
