He found out he was Trans when he was 9. Even if he didn’t know what Trans was back then.
He actually thought dyphoria was a symptom of being a werewolf.
But because of him also being a werewolf Remus always felt a lot more self-conscious about himself and his body
Remus perfers He/him pronouns.
He originally started using the name Remus as a joke because he was werewolf and then he realized he liked it
Remus was really worried before Hogwarts because he had known that everyone would deadname name him and call him by the wrong pronouns.
Because of Hogwarts beliefs being very traditional, it was really hard for Remus in the beginning.
He’d often spend nights in the bathrooms at Hogwarts crying because all he wanted to be was called by the right name.
He had wished that he was cis for most of first year.
Remus had told the mauraders once he felt comfortable around them and knew that they would likely support him.
Sirius was the first person Remus had spoken to about Remus being Trans.
Sirius was super understanding of Remus even if Sirius really didn’t know what being Trans was because of his own upbringing.
Remus had also spoke to Lily about it shortly after Sirius.
Lily, who had knowledge of what being Trans meant, was super supportive of Remus. She promised to help him when ever he needed it at Hogwarts.
Remus was most worried about Peter. But like the other’s Peter supported him.
James obvious Potter was actually the last one to find out about Remus being Trans. He also was super supportive.
All of the mauraders would make sure that Remus would take care of himself when it came to super bad dyphoria days
One time Remus wore his binder for way too long and had to go to the hospital wing.
After this, They all were told that they had to make sure that Remus didn’t wear his binder for too long.
James watched the most closely.
When Remus had told the Mauraders that he was ready to come out publicly to the rest of Hogwarts and his parents. They were very helpful with this process.
Even though not everyone at Hogwarts as as accepting as Remus had hoped, the mauraders were always there to make him feel valid
When Remus and Sirius started dating Remus was constantly scared that he wouldn’t be enough of a man for Sirius.
Sirius constantly helped Remus feel valid in their relationship
Sirius has started showering with Remus because it made Remus feel better about his self.
