I didn't know who to make as the demons in this but I like assuming Lily had a crush on Remus since he's a bookworm like Severus was and Remus was somewhat tamer then others.

I might just make the marauders as the demons and add Regulus. The possibilities are endless.

and what if i said au where mrs. figg caught onto harry’s (obvious) abuse way early and when she told dumbledore he was suspiciously unconcerned so she befriended petunia in order to better interfere and realized that petunia is trapped in this hell of a relationship so she spends years digging up the kindness that’s been buried in petunia and giving harry a space where he is cared for and playing dumbledore’s ridiculous games hoping he’ll do something until she realizes that not only is dumbledore letting this happen on purpose but she’s hopelessly in love with petunia so she eventually convinces petunia to leave her monster of a husband and the two of them move in together away from privet drive taking dudley and harry with them so harry is raised with love by his aunts petunia and figg and adopts their combined skepticism of a wizarding world that rejects muggles, muggle-borns, and squibs.

a huge part of the reason i loved the marauders so much originally was bc it reminded me of my own gang, our own mischief like our "fruit ceiling" experiment just for kicks, our mini bars hidden throughout old lockers we would acquire, breaking into places we shouldn't, causing a shitshow while being so, so close- thick or thin, and it wasn't complete without the whole gang there

and despite still loving the marauders, it makes me pine for the time before our lives became a literal shitshow and things happened none of us could have predicted- though im only 24, i miss being young lol
