MuTeLuv: "Hi" by my luck (2025) | EPISODE 3
[When he looks at me. When our eyes meet. Though it’s only a few seconds long, I can really feel it. I don’t know what he thinks of me. But I think there’s something between us. My heart is racing. I don’t know how to act. My head goes blank. Do you think I have feelings for him?]
MuTeLuv ตอน หมอดูทักครับ "Hi" by My Luck
MuTeLuv cinematography
I like muteluv's style of story telling, post production and cinematography. It's quite slow and focused on the details, but pragmatic and concise at the same time. It feels natural, slice of life almost. Plus the color scheme is warm, I love it.
One of my complaints of a lot of Thai shows (not all ofc) is that they have those cold, white and grey rich people apartments. Minimalist backgrounds that make the shot feel distant. They don't have anything around but plain clean surfaces and it feels uncanny. Like no one actually lives there.
I think cramped, maximalist, warm shots feel more natural and get you to connect with the characters easier. Like they really live in those spaces. They're alive.
Not only in Err's house but, even when they move to the hotel for the math competition, the characters make the room theirs.
This adds to color correction in post production, when the director and production team decides on the style they want the colorist to apply. In MuTeLuv: Hi by My Luck the tones are warm and with a little bit of contrast. The predominant colours (and lights) are blue and orange. I love blue and orange together, one of my favorite complementary colors. Even when the shots are primarily blue they feel warm.
A lot of BLs and GLs have blue undertones. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but, could it be due to colourism because orange color correction makes the skin look more tan?
I know it doesn't compare because they're completely different shows but, something that made me sad in ReVamp: the undead story is that in the first episode Punn's antique shop was so cramped and warm, plus the character dresses in warm colors and has that beautiful brown hair. But then he moves to the hotel with Ramil and everything looks uglier and lifeless. Of course that doesn't mean revamp is a bad show or anything.
Back to MuTeLuv, I especially like these shots where the camera is placed behind windows or objects. It makes you feel like they're in their little world and you are just taking a peek at their life.
In summary: this show was made for me 55555.
I adore SeaKeen and I'm so happy that they had the opportunity to star in this cute and wonderful show.
MuTeLuv (โปรดใช้วิจารณญาณในการรักเธอ) - "Hi" by my luck (ตอน หมอดูทักครับ), Episode 01 (2025)

On this episode of “Does that QL have a horse?”: MuTeLuv - “Hi” by my Luck
This show goes HEAVY on the horse references so it felt only right to count those as well as the sound effects throughout.
In four episodes, the word “horse” was said 14 times. (9 of which in episode one)
A horse sound effect played a total of 28 times, that is a total of one horse sound every six minutes. (15 of these were in the first episode)
But now to what we’ve all been waiting for, does the show that won’t stop talking about horses have a horse?
YES! In Episode 2 1/4 at 3:33 there is a horse to be seen in the background. It might be blurry, but it is still - a horse.
"hurry and get better, i can't wait for you to outrank me"
