Enjoy the ultimate comfort food with this spicy meatball sub. It tastes great with savory meatballs, tangy marinara sauce, and gooey melted cheese all inside a warm, toasty sub roll.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup chopped parsley. 1 egg. 1 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 sub rolls. 2 cups marinara sauce. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through. Slice the sub rolls horizontally and place them on a baking sheet. Spread marinara sauce on one side of each sub roll. Place cooked meatballs on top of the sauce, dividing evenly among the rolls. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatballs. Bake the subs for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
