Sometimes I get completely silent
I'm not mad at you, or anyone else.
I'm not trying to be rude.
I'm literally too tired to talk. I have no energy, I could pass out on the floor. My social patience and energy has worn out beyond its capability, I am shutting down.
But I still love you
Description: Jay messes up and gets yelled at by Cole. But when Cole says something wrong, Jay's whole mind seems to stop responding. (A story about a mental shutdown. I encourage those who don't have mental shutdowns to read so they can at least get some idea of what one feels like. All grammar mistakes are for a specific purpose.)
((Okay so I wrote a fanfic about a mental shut down and I thought I would share it because not everybody experiences mental shutdowns.
This is based on one of the times that I mentally shut down (I actually wrote the first part during/after as an attempt to bring myself back to reality). It’s only one of the times I shut down and it’s how I react, not how everybody reacts.
But yeah, please enjoy))
“hey, no..”
zephyr frowned, and he brought volts hand up to press a soft kiss to the back of it.
“im not upset or disappointed,” he said softly. he didnt understand why volt was apologizing, but his heart ached at the thought that volt felt the need to apologize for his vulnerability.
“you can talk to me, you know. you dont need to protect me from your struggles. i want to carry them with you, just like you want to carry mine. give and take, right? thats what being partners means.”

Volt closes his eyes and holds Zephyr's hand a bit tighter. He goes to talk several times before he finally says something. "It was Eddie's experience. But I got those memories as if they were my own... Just..."
He really doesn't want to say, but he knows he should. "Eddie used to have... This friend group. They had already had been pushing him around. Always making him the joke... He."
He pauses and takes a deep breath. "He wanted to leave. But they knew he was trans, and he didn't want anyone to know. They used that against him... He got into physical fights with them on several occasions. He couldn't tell anyone, because of the same thing."
He brings Zephyr's hand to his chest. His heart was beating fast, but he didn't seem aware of that. "When the homeowner was moving he knew that friend group would be some of the first to be gone... The homeowner was a doctor, so there were objects that could help him in that regard."
He laughs a bit dryly. "Those objects were the last to leave, so Eddie was able to get top surgery and everything..." He holds Zephyr's hand a bit tighter. "I... Eddie didn't feel it. He was out... I somehow felt all of it. Sometimes I swear I can still feel it."
He lets go of Zephyr's hand and brings his arms around himself. "I don't want to think about it." He falls silent.
TW: Mental Health Update
Debated even letting this past drafts. My mind gremlins say this post literally has no purpose except for attention seeking, but my heart says it wants to write and release it away into the web ether. So fuck it, here’s the splatter of my current inner train wreck.
My loneliness demon came crashing through harder than it had in a long time this past weekend. But the recovery… the recovery of the mental shutdown I had has somehow been even more painful ; it feels like a physical wound within me that’s taking its agonizingly slow time to begin scabbing over. I’m going throughout my day feeling like I just got out of surgery and must take care to not make any sudden movements. There’s a dull metaphysical ache in my chest when I speak, palpable enough to make me stay silent.
I’ve said before that I’m worried it’ll turn into a full-blown depressive episode, but the more I think about it, the likelihood of that happening seems less and less as I’ve been focused on simply giving what my brain and body needs to come back to myself. And I’ve been made to realize that maybe I need to take a few positive risks in the coming days to help with my recovery…
On the plus side, somehow this recovery has jump-started my prep to finally test out something specific. And related to what I went to school for no less 🥰 or at least that’s how I see it ❤️🩹
i dont even know who to talk to about this but there is so much shit to pack for moving to entirely different country for three years like im so overwhelmed and i keep having to compromise and leave shit with immense sentimental value behind because there is no space in my suitcase and ahhhghhghaaaa im about to cry like a frustrated weak bitch! why am i so attached to material possessions ITS NOT THAT DEEP also i literally have to rebuy a shit ton of essentials over there which is gonna cost so much money and hnnnnNNN
