…..and as mer!141 grovel at remora!readers fins, Nik disappears for a few days. Odd. When he returns, the largest fucking remora hybrid anyone has ever seen is being added to the tank. See, Price hadn’t gotten to explain what he had heard, what Simon was told, to Nik yet. Nik figured that maybe you just wanted someone who not only understood where you’re coming from as an injured remora, but also a companion who could pup you properly. Now, not only are the boys begging for your forgiveness, but they’re vying for your attention from the tanks new gentle giant, the tanks new king, König.
... Anon, were you inside of my head? Did you KNOW MY PLAN!? I was considering making König a whale shark mer, but yeees big remora König YES Part 1
"We're sorry, love. I promise, I'll let you latch a little while if you come out for a bit." Kyle pleas softly as he peaks at you through the gaps in the reef. "I miss you, and I miss holding you." You grunt at him in irritation, eyeing the fish in his hands. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I wish I had noticed you were uncomfortable sooner."
"I told you I was! You all got off on hearing me beg." You huff angrily, darting forward and snatching the fish from his hands. "Go away." You grumble, but as you take the fish into your hideaway, you notice it doesn't smell slightly like Nik. It smelled like Kate, another handler that normally handled other mers in the sanctuary.
Price asks Kate where Nik is when he sees her, thrown off by his usual handlers absence.
"Said he had a new mer that was found being mistreated in its current facility." Is all she said, but that didn't make sense to Price. Why hadn't Nik told him? Price hoped he would return soon so he could tell him what happened and ask him for his help. For now, he tolerated Kate's checkups, so Nik wouldn't scold him when he got back.
Johnny visits you after his check-up, very concerned for you since it had been almost two weeks now since you'd come out of your reef. "Y/N, can you please come out for a check-up? It's Kate, she's really nice." He asks as he puts himself halfway into the reef. Any further, and he could get stuck.
"You care about me being looked after now?" You ask as you stay latched safely out of reach. Johnny's heart ached a little, wishing he had been less mean to you. If he had just let you latch a few times and listened to you, you wouldn't have felt so neglected.
"I'm sorry, Y/N... Really am. I know you won't forgive me soon, but please get checked on by Kate. I am worried." His voice cracks slightly and he quickly clears his throat to ignore it. "I'll give you some space. Please swim up tomorrow so she can look at you." He presses before backing up and swimming away.
He curls up beside Simon, guilt curling in his chest as he watches you leave the reef for the first time in weeks. You swim rapidly up to the inspection deck, slipping onto the platform for Kate to inspect you.
Just as quick as you swam up, you swam back down, slipping back into your reef where you felt safe. "We made them so skittish." Kyle mutters as he settles besides Simon, watching Price swim small circles around the tank. He was deep in thought, and they knew better than to interrupt him. Simon shifted to say something when they here a splashing in the tank, heads swiveling towards the sound.
"Holy shit." Johnny mutters as he watches the giant remora mer join the tank. Nikolai stands beside the pool as he watches König join the tank. Price swims up to the surface, looking at Nik in confusion.
"Y/N probably started feeling lonely they didn't have another remora in the tank with them. And König has an injured sucker as well. They should get along great." Nik explains, gently hushing Price when he tries to explain. "He's very docile, so he won't challenge you. This will just balance out the tank a little." He finishes his explanation and leaves König to get comfortable in the tank.
You saw the huge shadow passing over your reef, peeking out curiously and gasping a little when you saw him. A giant remora! You trill quietly in excitement as you watch him swim through the water, leaving your reef cautiously to approach.
"Ah, little pup!" The large remora barely gave you time to approach before he swam to you, circling you once before pulling you close to his chest. "Pup?" He coos as he flips onto his back with you on his belly.
You latch onto his belly, purring happily as he moves slower to allow your latch to stick. "Well, not a pup, just tiny." You mutter, feeling a little shy under his wide-eyed gaze. "I'm Y/N."
"König." The gentle giant purrs, wrapping his arms protectively around the back of your head when Price approaches. Price bites back a growl, feeling deeply offended that König was protecting you from him and the pod.
"Nice to meet you, König. I'm Price. Would you like to meet the others?" He offers as he gestures towards the three curious sharks down bellow. König gives your head a nuzzle, getting your attention.
"Hold on, pup. I'll swim slowly." He coos, slowly adjusting back onto his belly. Once he was sure you were still latched, he swam after Price to greet the others. You smugly smile against Königs stomach, not unlatching to say hi to your pod at all. They could see what a proper latch was supposed to look like for a while.
"I can't fucking believe it." Simon grumbles, watching König break up your fish for you. You didn't need it, but you appreciated the offer, lounging comfortably on his chest. "He's just swooped in and replaced us."
"We were assholes. Y/N has every right to want to be around König more than us right now." Kyle sighs, though jealousy was gnawing at his chest as he watches König with you.
"Why is your pod staring at me like that?" König murmurs, glancing down at the huddled up sharks. They must've noticed that since they swim away from each other, waiting for Nik to get them for training.
"Their your pod too, König. And it's cause they're jealous I'm spending time with you. They kept messing with me when I would latch to them, so I stopped being around them." You explain quietly, tracing your webbed fingers over the scars on Königs chest. König huffs quietly at that, holding you a little tighter.
"I'm big enough to handle that, even with my sucker. You're a pup. That's not fair." König grumbles, his tail flicking in irritation. You whine a little, the sharp movement jostling you and making König slow immediately. You settle down and give him a sleepy smile, your belly full of fish, and your latch properly secured.
"Ah, nap time for pups. I'll keep the sharks away." He jokes, making you giggle sleepily. You lay your head on his chest, seeing Johnny swim by with a small pout on his face. Even after how mean they had been, you missed your pod. You weren't going to stay mad forever, but you were going to rub their nose in it for a while.
Mer!reader who’s part of a critically endangered species, but you just won’t accept any of the other mers as mates. Why?
You’re in love with Nikolai, your primary handler. When you came to the sanctuary years ago, injured and malnourished as you’d no longer been able to hunt, he was the one who hand-fed you and redressed your injuries, he was the one who wore the dive suit to give you physical therapy.
This all happened before it was understood just how loyal your species is. How you mate for life without exception.
And regardless of his feelings (let’s not mention how he hasn’t exactly dated anyone since you came to the sanctuary), your species is at risk.
So he courts you, and it’s everything you’ve ever wanted. Cuts of fresh, fatty fish wrapped in kelp strands. The lab develops a modified form of agar he can use to create a sac of pretty shells for you to nest with, the same way your mate in the wild would have.
He gets into your tank without his suit when the time is right— and you need full body contact and warmth to conceive. Using a toy won’t do. So he wears a sheath with an attached tube, connected to a reservoir of “donated” milt (wonder who that came from) and fucks you full on the sandy floor of your enclosure for as long as his oxygen tank will allow.
Hi I’m the one who left the egg ask! I genuinely had no idea what an ovipo kink was I was just wondering if babies were a possibility 😭😭😭
(Maybe that’s still apart of that but I don’t really understand it.)
That’s all Bai bai 🎀
oh no worries! the post in question.
trust me… communication is poor. the mer 141 have not talked about it and believe a range of things:
babies aren't possible because you're a different "species" (Ghost)
babies are possible and would be considered and planned for--extensively; they have the resources--were that possibility to become a certainty (Price)
babies are probable and come with the desirable side effect of baby-trapping you via laying an obvious physical claim (Gaz)
or he's so driven by his libido anyway that the idea of you not eventually getting knocked up is inconceivable; just try harder and believe in yourself (Soap).
I've got a pirate yandere and mer reader itch in my brain and it needs to be scratched so-
Pirate yandere who catches a glimpse of mermaid reader during a storm
Who uses as many tricks as they know to lure them
Once they catch mer reader they intend to sell them for the right price but mer readers hypnotic eyes and siren song work a little too well
Pirate yandere who at first keeps mer reader in a large tub for all to know who they belong to but when an escape attempt almost succeeds they move them to his room
Forbids anyone from entering and seeing mer reader lest they help them or God forbid fall in love too and if anyone does they'll be sleeping with the fishes
Who lets mer reader be as mean as they want until they've had enough and keeps mer reader completely out of water until they've become more docile
Lovingly adores mer reader and spends every minute that they can with them
Gives mer reader treats and praise when they do something benefitting to them.
Pirate yandere who threatens makes a compromise to cut mer readers scales off and/or slice through a fin or two if they really want to be in the ocean just for a little bit
Might expand on this. If I do what gender should pirate yandere be?
Thank you so much @aoi-kanna for letting me commission you for this absolutely lovely art peice for my story!!! I have always loved your leviathantale art so this has brought me great of joy.
Thank you!!!

Gaurdian's of the Deep
Your grandmother had always told you stories of The Guardians and their servants, great beings of untold power that protected your island. They used to be everything to your people. Now, with every fallen elder and new face coming in, they faded to nothing. But you knew. Your grandmother made sure you'd know. You had to honor those memories and old gods. Give one last prayer before the mainland took everything. It was the least you could do.
After all, if you honor, thank, and give; one day, something might just be given back...
Woke up in a burning escape pod, which is already concerning. Everyone’s dead. I’m on Planet 4546B, which is just an ocean aggressively pretending to be a planet.
My only companion is a sarcastic PDA and the sinking sense of doom
The survival plan so far: panic, sarcasm, and vibes.
It’s not going great.
Worst of all ? why did no one told me about the oversized fish flirting with me ???
Life on your houseboat up until recently has been quiet, peaceful, no complaints. That is, until two mers decide to make themselves your problem
Navigating the sea is hard enough when you're used to flippers instead of hands, and trying to keep that a secret is going to make things even harder.

You are a mer, just trying to live your life in the Kelp Forest you call home. But of course, being the creature you are, complications just have to arise. And it's not surprise that the complications in questions are covered in scales and disgustingly bright colours.
So... how DOES a mer like you deal with issues as big and menacing as these?
It was going to be a normal fishing trip. Just a normal hike to the secluded river beach and maybe relax while listening to the forest waking up around you. However, that isn't how things go for you and now you managed to gain the attention of a legendary creature. Now everything seems to be turned on its head. Hopefully, you can adapt to it quickly enough and help these living legends out as their world is starting to shrink around them.
You are the by product of an experiment gone wrong and now live in misery as your tormented throughout your daily life. That is till a new tank mate literally crashes into your water.
Sailors tend to be superstitious, and sailors of the stars are no different. It’s tradition to bring a good luck charm with them when they go on a long voyage for safety.
Life is great. You live in a forest, and within that forest, is your river, where nature sings its melodies without the greedy ears of humans to hear.
That doesn’t last long, though.
You thought the building of a town nearby wouldn’t be too much of a bother, and at first it isn’t. But of course, something called a circus makes a part of your territory its home, and you just can’t let that happen. You need to figure out a way to make all the humans that came with the circus leave, but as you try to, you slowly get closer to two sun and moon themed robots.
You soon find yourself questioning what the feelings of your heart racing and your cheeks flushing mean, since it only seems to happen around those two bots.
But then you make a mistake, and from that silly little mishap, your life is sent crashing down all around you.
Will you be able to escape to safety with your two closest companions, or will you find yourself drowning in the consequences of your actions?
As a Sea witch used to seeing the paranormal, you've never expected that you would have such a fateful encounter with two special individuals so unlike yourself. Yet it seems like it was written destiny that you would discover the other halves that complete your heart, forming a loving connection with your beloveds.
Yet someone sinister wishes to covet you and your abilities and rips you away from your homeland and your soulmates. Will you and your partners be able to withstand this trial that tests your resolve and your relationship and be free?
Come and read this fairy tale of love and tragedy, and see through the eyes of a mage and the oceanic fantasy within.
AquaVision has been a hot-spot location for you to set up where you frequently engage in your street dancing. You've become determined to make it a full-time job, but it hasn't been working great. In front of one of the country's largest, most extravagant aquariums, is a prime location for an amenable audience. The spot is great, tourists, children, and families frequent the location when a park is right across the street too. All that means you get the best tips there, it's a shame the aquarium staff kept trying to shoo you away... It never swayed you since it was completely within your rights.
That all changed when you met the owner of AquaVision, August Vaughn. Apparently, he has a problem with his biggest attraction and a desperate man will call for desperate measures. Since you're in a rather desperate situation with money yourself, who are you to refuse?
Supporting My Thesis With the Evidence Below (MerMay 2026) by mintermelontea
You, a researcher, grew up in a conservatory research center that specialized in rehabilitating and studying special creatures called mers. Since you were little, you found yourself drawn to two mers and grew up alongside them. Now grown up as a researcher-in-training, you dedicated your thesis to your friends. However, your little friends have also been studying you with their own goals in mind, waiting for the right time to claim what's theirs.
"Are you going to sing to me?" You prod. The siren tilts its head. "No?" You chew the dry fruit for a bit, forcing it down with somewhat of a whince.
A beat passes. The gentle flow of slow waves continues to fill the silence. There's a tension to the way it keeps itself perfectly still, and you wonder if it's anticipating the pounce just as much as you do.
***
You meet a siren at night. The situation escalates when it keeps coming back.
A mute siren is taken from an unethical lab and displayed as a rare living attraction at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. While struggling to recover from captivity, they form bonds with two particular animatronics. But the scientist who created them wants to reclaim them as property—and won’t let anything, or anyone, stand in his way
Emergency sirens echoed in your ears, the sound of explosions signaling the end of the Aurora's flight as you crashed into the ocean planet 4546B.
Lost and frightened on this mysterious, unexplored planet, you don't know if there are any survivors other than yourself, but you have no choice but to survive if you ever want to see your family again. So, in spite of everything, you decide to brave the unknown, trying by all means to get by in this place filled with creatures, each more dangerous than the last.
And when you attract the attention of not one, but three of the most powerful Leviathans on planet 4546B, you don't know whether your plan to survive until you can leave this planet will continue to unfold as you planned, or whether these Leviathans will turn your life upside down in the most unexpected ways.
One fish, Two fish. Sun fish, Moon fish. by Random_Tail
Heading back to the place you once called home. You weren't expecting to fall into the mystery of missing children and memory's slipping your grasp at every turn.
This is my second attempt to write this to be honest and I'm not the most confident writer. So please be kind and enjoy

Alastor took the mer up to their hotel room, the halls empty as he made another water pun, which earned him a fin slap to the face.
"I could drop you, you know?", he said but continued to carry them towards the bathtub.
Setting them down gently, he made sure to get a towel and put it somewhere within reach for them to take when their legs returned.
"There you are dear!", he said before standing up straight. "I'll leave you here now. Don't try to get up too soon, you'll just flop right over!", he laughed and turned to leave.
"Wait.", they spoke softly.
Like an exciting rush, he felt chills run down his back as his body followed the command.
"Don't tell anyone about what you saw..", they paused. "Or what you heard from me. Please."
As soon as they were finished, the 'spell' had broken and he was able to move again. Glancing over his shoulder, the Radio Demon snapped his fingers and his coat was clear of the water spots they had left on him.
"Very well.", he said and began closing the bathroom door. "This will stay our little secret~", he placed a finger over his lips before shutting the door.
He stood there for a moment, hearing the mer let out a sigh before the water turned on.
Satisfied with his findings, the deer demon left their hotel room, making sure to lock the door before closing it.
As he made his way to his radio tower, he thought of ways to get the aquatic demon to sing around him.
I should ease their worries somehow.. He thought. I wonder if there is a way to lure a siren.
.
You hated the transition of your legs returning.
Every time, you felt like your tail was being torn apart. Your scales felt like needles piercing into you when they sunk back into your skin. The webbing on your fingers was the only thing that didn't hurt much, but your hands would cramp a few times the day after.
This is annoying. You thought as you dried yourself completely after taking a bath.
Next was the hard part.
Grabbing the edge of the tub, you slowly stood up. Your feet feeling like you walked many miles without rest, aching as you stepped onto the tile floor.
It hurt.
Step by step, it felt like you were walking on glass, thorns, or hot coal as you made your way into your room to get dressed.
As soon as you could, you dropped onto your bed with a whine, staying there for a moment before crawling under the covers. After turning off the lamp on the nightstand, you hoped that the red dressed demon wouldn't say anything of what he saw.
Yes, you told him a command but the other half was a plea.
Let's not worry about it. He did say it would be our secret. You thought before going to sleep.
The next day was a little odd.
After getting breakfast, the smiling demon began talking to you like you were old friends.
It confused you.
What did he have to gain from talking to a quiet person? There was nothing you could say without hypnotizing him.
.
It was simple.
All he had to do was get them used to him and they'd be comfortable enough to let their guard down.
What better way to do it other than talking?
Food.
Throughout a few weeks, the Radio Demon experimented with all kinds of food. Taking notice of their expressions and the amount of food that they left on their plate. Later, he noticed that they enjoyed snacking on seaweed.
He wasn't sure where they had got it from, but it was something that he made sure was kept stocked in the kitchen and at the bar.
"The fuck? Why seaweed?", Husker grumbled.
"One of our guests enjoys it and the Princess ordered a surplus of the snack.", Alastor said as he watched the cat demon put the box under the bar counter.
Of course, it didn't really work out like he wanted. They were still quiet, still just out of reach, wary of him and his every action.
So he tried a different tactic.
Continuing to talk to them in open spaces but once they left, he hid in the shadows and observed them.
And then it happened.
It was exactly what he was waiting for.
Though he was hiding within the shadows of a dark theater room, he still was able to catch them, to listen to them sing.
Dark brown wood and red velvet from the room had made the area darker than it really was, but they still managed to find a ledge to sit on. They started off with soft hums before a real note came out from their lips.
"Here in the garden
Let's play a game
I'll show you how it's done
Here in the garden
Stand very still
This will be so much fun"
Like before, he felt the pull in his chest, the daze their voice submerged his mind into.
"And then she smiled
That's what I'm after
A smile in her eyes
The sound of her laughter
Happy to listen
Happy to play
Happily watching her drift away"
His shadows held him back from crawling out of the darkness. Something he was quite grateful for as he didn't want to disturb their singing.
"You keep on turning pages, for people who don't care
People who don't care about you
And still it takes you ages, to see that no one's there
See that no one's there
See that no one's there
Everyone's gone on with out you.."
Such a peculiar thing. To feel what they felt through their song, waves of sadness brushing against his mind.
"And aren't I the fool to have
Happily listened
Happy to stay
Happy to watch her drift
Drift
Drift...away."
They finished their song and sighed, wearing a frown.
Something Alastor couldn't just stand by for.
"You have such a lovely voice.", the deer demon spoke up.
They let out a noise of surprise and stood quickly , looking around the room like a frightened animal.
"It's a shame you hide it.", he continued.
He could hear how quick their breathing became as they backed away towards the nearest exit. Before the mer could touch the door, the Radio Demon came out of the shadows behind them and took their wrist.
They gasped and froze, not daring to look at him as he held them close.
Now is his grasp, he hummed in content and put a finger under their chin, lifting it up so they could look him in the eye.
His smile grew wider once they made eye contact.
"Let's make a deal~"
I did not have sushi but I did get to eat seaweed.
